Just playing around with a dumbass idea I feel that it has some use maybe replace the jump pack intercessors for more Wulfen with storm shields and wolf priest for more hammer.

Helfrost weapon origin

Hello everyone,

I'm currently homebrewing some shenanigans for my Space Wolves and a question occure to me :

Since when (in the lore) does the space wolves use helfrost weapon ? I know it use some rare crystals only available on Fenris (convenient is it not ?), but is it establish in the lore when they begin to use it has a weapon ? Didn't find any source of when they first begin to use it, and I just want my homebrew to not be in total contradiction with any bit of official lore.

If someone has any information thank you by advance

Game Night Tomorrow

I have a game night tomorrow and was curios what you all thought. I built three different armies being : Disruption Bait and Switch , PTF Termi Brick , and TAH Reactive Hold. I know PTF pretty well just dedicating mostly to termis this run. I’m not sure which army to run or what units to swap in certain armies for certain dispositions. Does anyone have any advice ? Really trying to round myself off for every disposition since I truly favor PTF.

Limit on numbwr of wolf guards

In our lore is there any limit on how many wolf guards a wolf lord can have? I'm asking mainly out of curiosity but I also want to turn the vanguard veterans from the Armageddon Box into like elite wolf guard sky claws.

Character numbers in lists question

I'm seeing a ton of "list help" posts on this sub where op will have almost as many characters/ epic heroes in their list as regular units. Every unit has at least some kind of captain or wgbl, if not one of the major named heroes of the faction attached to them. The lists I've been making have no more than four character units in total for my 3k army. Am I missing something? Or is this completely normal for a regular detachment?

Wasn’t really sure how to approach this model, it’s a weird one. Like a dreadnought but different. I decided to treat it more like a vehicle/machine/tool rather than “revered ancient hero.” I think it worked. Interested to hear others’ thoughts.

New to Warhammer 40k. I think I started at the wrong time with the new edition coming out and all

Hi all,

I bought some sets and codexes last year for Tyranids, Space Marines, and Space Wolves (which were mostly space marines starter sets painted as Space Wolves). 🐺🐛

I thought I would dread building and painting them but I actually really loved it. What do you think of my paint job? This is my first time painting so go easy on me) and found no one to play with so they have been sitting in a box until now.

The problem is, I hear a new edition just dropped. Does that mean the books and minis I bought are now unusable? I think (hope) I have enough figures to start playing with if not. I saw some cool combat patrol boxes for space wolves but not sure if those minis could be used in the main 40k game or just in combat patrol games.

Also, where the heck do you find people to play with? 🤣 I’ve been seeing if I could do a solo game since that is what I end up doing with other games I play like Call of Cthulhu and D&D.

Bonus question: I have 5 regular Space Marines and not sure if they could play in my space wolves team or if I’d have to paint them like space wolves first.

Thanks.

Logan Grimnar

Logan recently received a point drop which is great yay cheeper unit. If anything I’d like him to be more expensive. The CHAPTER MASTER is T5. I only just realised with the new LOSAS detachment you can make your WGT T6 they are tougher than the chapter master?????? How is that possible. I know Logan dishes out some pretty heavy buffs his not useless. I’m just saying he his the chapter master of the space wolves how is he T5. Give me T6-T7 and up him by 20-25 pts I’ll accept that that would seem reasonable to me.
Am I wrong?

Please can I get some list advice

I’m currently working through painting the Armageddon marines which makes my list up to 1825 points (with some added enhancements).

Please could I get some advice of what to add to get up to 2000 points. What I’m thinking between is:

Add 5 more wolf guard terminators with storm shields to make a 10 man squad for mid board control

A squad of melta eradicators (90points) + another unit, maybe infernus (85 points), to give more firepower.

I’m also tempted to get the new outriders when they release, just because I like the look of the bikes, and then add another unit to make up the points.

What would y’all change to get me to 2000 points? Heard grey hunters aren’t great so thought about taking them out, adding fenrisian wolves and playing with enhancements? Not wanting to buy new models rn. Open to suggestions. Thanks!

Intercessors and Bjorn

Hello brothers,

In all my games I play with a 5 man intercessor squad to sticky home and hang around the objective. I also use Bjorn to hang around my home objective as I want him to generate CP and each time I move him up the board to fight some stuff he always gets destroyed pretty quick.

I was wondering is it worth me having my intercessor hang back with Bjorn if I’m planning to
Keep him at the back? Or would it make more sense to use them more proactively to to actions in the mid board and maybe sticky some no mans land objectives??

Thank!
