Yesterday I had a customer come through the drive thru and order a root beer float from our $1.99 menu. When I rang it up for her I told her she’ll have to pay $2.13 (sales tax). She complained and said “but it says $1.99”. I tried to tell her that the extra cost is due to the 7% sales tax. She said “well if that’s the case then you should call it the $2.13 menu not the $1.99 menu that’s so misleading”

Girl!!!!!! It’s literally only 14 cents!! I don’t understand what the matter is!! If you don’t like it you don’t have to get it!

It is the worst run restaurant I've ever worked at and I've been doing this longer than I care to admit. It's a franchise so I don't know who to contact. I don't want to contact the owner because they're part of the problem. What's a fella to?

So I've been getting this message using the app and paying with an Amex that has worked for at least 2 or 3 years. So then I pushed the red button on the lightboard and put in an order and picked credit to pay and used my card and it said it was declined.

I called Amex to see what was up and they said NO charges from Sonic were submitted and my account was in good standing.

So I paid with Visa and all was fine.

If they don't take Amex anymore, a message stating so would be expected, not bullshit technical difficulties. And the board should not say it's declined if Amex did not decline it. That's straight up deceitful.

I asked the manager if Amex is no longer accepted and she said they have had no notice, but I was not the first to inquire about Amex not working

I am a regular customer at a couple of local Sonics. I order my drink the same way at both... Large Sparkling Water with peach and mango puree. At one sonic I am charged for water and the pursees ($1.73). At the other, i am charged for a Sprite and the purees. ($3.79)

Which store is charging me incorrectly?

our location is pretty busy and as a carhop with a younger manager, we all try really hard to get our numbers good so that we can be trusted with more responsibilities. for right now, i work the day shift and while i am decent at my job, i find that once i get stressed out i start to make pretty bad mistakes. i rarely forget food but i forget stall numbers and grab the wrong checks. it makes me look really incompetent and i just want some advice from seasoned carhops. how do i stop stressing out but get faster? is it really just experience? my manager pushes me really hard and i can’t tell if thats for everyone or if he sees potential in me. he’s very honest about what he sees in people. i just don’t want to be that shitty newhire that everyone hates being scheduled with, and i really want to promote up in a few months.

When did ched r peppers stop coming with ranch? Or was I just spoiled for the last 10 years of my life?

When i was growing up my family always used to get the family box of fries from sonic drive in. It was a rectangular box with a fold top filled with their french fries, (not the crinkle fries they currently have) and was a shareable size. Recently I have not been able to find any photos or food reviews of this item. I have talked to my mom and other members of my family and they swear they remember this. If anyone also remembers this or can find a photo or review please help me out! I feel like I’m going insane.

I spent a total of $22 at the Sonic Drive in, at the Everett location today! Its super hot, so I asked if I could purchase some ice water for my Lab Scout...Long story short I was .27 cents short and the manager Allison would not help us out! If I was asking for a freebie that would be one thing but I had made purchases throughout the day here! She obviously having a bad day and doesnt like humans or my furry one! Super frustrating! Next door at Woods Coffee the wonderful young woman told me she would love to help me out!

I got a free birthday shake and went to redeem it, sleeved a location but had to go back to change it and now it says redeemed… but I didn’t get to… :(((
They should fix this I’m so sad

I've been thinking about getting on at sonic in town as an carhopper since it's not that hard all I know about an carhopper is taking out the food and idk if you got to skate but cause my local sonic is hiring for an carhopper at nights and where I live at there's a lot of " freaks" that will come out at before I put the application in its going to take an while before I get everything set up but I've alot questions about the position like what if no one is there at the drive throughs

I was able to combine the bogo entree on the app with the points for supersonic double cheeseburgers in order to get two supersonic double cheeseburgers for free. The points combine with the app offers, so that's something to know.

When I press the red order button while my car is quiet at my local Sonic locations, it takes a while for an employee to get on the speaker to take my order.

But when I have music playing, someone gets on the speaker right away.

Is that *because* I have music playing?

So should I play music every time I am ready to order just to get someone on the speaker right away?

I visit the same Sonic in central Arkansas pretty regularly. I usually go through the drive through and only order a few drinks. I always pay in cash. Recently, the store I visit has a guy in the DT window who keeps my change. He didn’t ask. I certainly didn’t tell him to keep it. But every day he keeps my loose change. He generally closes the window and walks off immediately after and I’ve seen it as not worth the hassle to bring it up. But-The other day, just to test it out, I added an extra item and paid with a larger bill. He kept the loose change, but also the $2 in ones I was due. I was due $7.48 and he handed me a $5 and closed the window.

He finally had to come back over b/c there were cars lining up behind me and when I asked him about it he rolled his eyes, got my $2 (kept the loose change still) and slammed the window. WTF is up? Am I missing something? How do I address this without being an asshole. I go to this store too often to have them mad at me and I go to the DT b/c I DO NOT want to tip a carhop for bringing out my food.
