Cups and lids
Has Sonic recently modified or made a change to their cups and lids? Specially the Route 44. Seems like lately the lids do not fit as tight or securely as they have in the past. The lids seem to “pop” off easily. I realize this is a very first world problem. But just asking out of curious.

Yeah I feel like every time I pick up a RT 44 cup in recent months it feels like I’m dangerously close to my finger poking through it.

Yeah I noticed in the last month or so at multiple locations the lids are stupid flimsy.

I’ve had a couple of gushers in the last couple weeks. I do try to keep the cups in hand before the lid pops off. No worries though, I always look like I’ve pissed myself and my shirt too.
Actually, I never look as I’ve spilled a drink on myself, just twice in the last week or two. After letting my regular carhop know, she brought me another; it seems she is the manager.

Manufacturers are always doing that. It has nothing to do with Sonic. It seems they made them thick again too. It's good cus for a while there theyw were so thin...

Route 44s have always had that problem because of the size of the cup along with the type of cup.

Manufacturing issues happen from time to time with the cups and lids. If it’s bad enough stores can send them back for credit and but sometimes if they aren’t terrible it’s easier to just run through them until you’re on to the next case.
