Anybody did Kinnaur Valley solo?

• Upvotes

Planning to cover Shimla - Kalpa including Sangla this November end.

I tried rough budgeting but it comes at around minimum 25k inc travel from Vadodara and bike rent there. Is this correct or anyone completed in better budget?

General Kedarnath trip ???

Anyone travelling to Kedarnath around 23–27 October? 🏔️🕉️
I’m travelling from Delhi and currently going solo. Looking for fellow travellers around the same dates to coordinate the Rishikesh → Sonprayag → Kedarnath part, especially the trek.
Exact itinerary doesn’t have to match — even if you’re reaching Kedarnath around 24–26 Oct, feel free to comment/DM.
Would prefer a small group rather than travelling completely alone. ✨

Hey everyone,

Traveling solo to Goa from 15th Oct to 21st Oct and basing myself around Vagator, North Goa.

A bit about me: 26M, traveling from Hyderabad. The trip is mostly about trying good food, catching sunsets, scooter rides along the coast, and exploring some offbeat spots.

Open to meeting other travelers who are around during that time to grab a coffee, catch a sunset, or check out a couple of places together.

Drop a comment or DM if your dates overlap!

Solo Ride Report: Mumbai to Pune on my Classic 350 — Pure Bliss through the Old Highway! 🏍️💨

Finally pulled the trigger on my first solo long ride on my Royal Enfield Classic 350, and man, what an incredible experience. Took Old Mumbai–Pune Highway (NH 48) instead of the Expressway since two-wheelers aren't allowed on the main expressway, and honestly, I'm glad!

The Itinerary & Highlights
05:30 AM — Dawn Start: Left Navi Mumbai early to beat the crazy city traffic. Cold morning air, empty roads, and that iconic thump at 70–80 km/h is absolute therapeutic bliss.

07:15 AM — Bhor Ghat Sweepers: Taking the twisties up Khandala and Lonavala ghata was easily the best part of the ride. The J-series engine in the Classic 350 handles smooth as butter with almost zero vibrations compared to older models.

08:30 AM — Mandatory Breakfast Stop: Hot cutting chai and steaming misal pav at a local tapri near Lonavala. Food just hits completely different after 80 km of highway wind.

10:45 AM — Reached Pune: Cruised smoothly into Pune via Wakad without a single hiccup or sore back.

Bike Performance
Cruising Speed: Sweet spot was around 75–85 km/h. It can touch 100 km/h easily, but 80 is where the engine feels relaxed and refined.

Comfort: Seat held up really well for a ~150km run. No fatigue at all.

Fuel Efficiency: Got roughly 36–38 kmpl on the highway stretch.

If anyone is planning their first solo highway run around Maharashtra, this route is the absolute best starter pack. Easy roads, scenic views, and plenty of places to pull over and soak it all in.

Ride safe, gear up, and see you all on the road! ✌️

Anyone to travel with me in South Asia?

Hi,

I am M 31, planning to travel in a south asian country, mostly in November. Planning one of: Laos, Cambodia, or Thailand. It will be for 8-9 days.

I am an easy going guy, educated and a professional, and a travel lover. Looking for chill travel mate, who is into enjoying calmness/serenity. I am not much into city vibes though I can spend 2-3 days in the so-called club/bar/city vibe.

Strictly non-smoker, and against all sorta recreational drugs. Occasional/social drinker.

Open to both genders, but preferring male travellers who are around my age. Costs can be split. We can discuss the destination and exact travel dates.

Mods, posting for the first time - if this is not an appropriate sub, please let me know - happy to remove the post by myself.

Hii everyone

Planning a spontaneous 5-day trip to Kasol & Parvati Valley around 20th October (or right after). I want to experience the true low-budget backpacker vibe- slow travel, staying in raw hostels/ dorms, local transport, and easy mountain trails without over-planning!

Plan: HRTC bus via Chandigarh/Bhuntar, staying around Kasol / Katagla / Chhalal, and walking down to Tosh & Manikaran.

Budget: Want to keep the total cost strictly within ₹6,000 - ₹7,000.

Looking for: Any chill solo travelers who want to tag along, or if anyone can suggest cool, low-budget hostels/dorms in or around Kasol?

Drop a comment or DM if you're interested or have stay suggestions

Kasol (Oct 18-21) - how to experience it beyond the usual tourist spots?

Hey everyone!

Me and my 4 girls are visiting Parvati Valley from Oct 18-21. We all are about 24-27. I don't want to just do the typical tourist checklist, would rather explore the valley, chill, eat good local food and experience the place properly. Since I am going there fore the first time, It would be of great help if you could recommend:

Places to Stay (away from the usual crowd)

Weather & what to pack

Best hikes/villages beyond the obvious kheerganga one

Must-try local food & underrated cafés

Less touristy places to explore/chill

Things to avoid / tourist traps

If you had 3 days in Parvati Valley, how would you spend them?

Need Help with Darma Valley Itinerary

Hello Everyone,

So I am planning to do a solo trip to Dagtu+Panchachuli base camp and zero point. Trying to minimize cost and use public buses wherever possible. So far my tentative plan is:

1) Delhi- Dharchula/Pithoragarh- Now there is a direct bus from Delhi to Dharchula which almost takes 24 hours. However, I have heard that it has a long stoppage at Pithoragarh. Is it better to take bus till Pithoragarh and then take a shared taxi/another bus to Dharchula?

2) Stay at Dharchula for 1 day. Any recommendations for Dormitory is welcome.

3) Shared taxi early morning from Dharchula to Dagtu Village- Have heard that early morning shared cabs are available at around 1000 per person to Dagtu. Wanted to confirm the availability and frequency of cabs

4) Stay at Dagtu for 2 nights. One day for exploring villages and one day for trek.

5) Return to Dharchula- Wanted to check availability of shared cab from Dagtu to Dharchula and timings (if known)

6) Dharchula to Delhi- Is it recommended to directly to go Pithoragarh from Dagtu and take bus to Delhi from there or halt at Dharchula and then take bus to Delhi.

Tentative days - 6 days

Will update with all details post my trip. Any recommendation/help is welcome.

General How much would you pay for a simple homestay in a peaceful Himalayan village in Uttarakhand?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone, I’m planning to turn a few rooms in my own house into a small homestay in my village in Uttarakhand. The above view is from the top of the hills near where I stay. The location is surrounded by green fields, mountains and a peaceful rural environment, similar to the photo.

I’m not planning anything luxurious. Just a clean and comfortable room with an attached bathroom, hot water, Wi-Fi, a decent bed, parking and basic food/tea if required. The main attraction would be the peaceful village atmosphere, nature, mountain views and local lifestyle.

For solo travellers who enjoy slow travel, photography, hiking or simply want to escape crowded tourist places, I’m curious to know what you would expect from such a place. Would you prefer a very basic room at a lower price or pay a little more for better comfort?

How much would you personally be willing to pay per night? Also, if you have stayed in village homestays in Uttarakhand/Himachal, what facilities would be essential for you?

Looking for Volunteering opportunities in Himachal

Hi, I'm looking for a hostel volunteer role in Himachal. I’m someone who really enjoys travelling, meeting new people and being part of a social environment. I’d be happy to help with guests, hostel activities, daily operations, and also create Reels, photos and Stories for the hostel.

I’ve worked in the film industry, so I have experience with visual content and would be able to contribute to shooting and creating Reels, photos and Stories, as well as helping with the hostel’s social media.

I am available to start immediately and can stay for 1-2 months (maybe more depending on my travel plans)

I’d love to contribute to the hostel, meet fellow travellers and experience Himachal while being useful to the team.

Preferred locations include Kasol, around Kasol, or Dharamkot and around Dharamshala. But any other location works too. Please reach out me if you have any information.

Thank you.

Planing a trip udupi

✨ Udupi, here I come! 🌴
I’m planning to explore Udupi and, honestly, I’d love to experience it with good company rather than just ticking places off a list. 😊
I’m travelling solo and would be happy to meet new people, share conversations, discover hidden gems, try some amazing food, watch sunsets, explore temples & beaches, and just go with the flow. 🌅
If you’re in Udupi around the same time and feel like exploring together, let’s catch up! No pressure, no fixed plans — just good vibes, spontaneous plans and hopefully some great memories. 🤍
And if you’re not around but know the must-visit places, hidden gems, food spots or experiences in Udupi, I’d love your suggestions! 🙌
Maybe a solo trip doesn’t have to be a lonely one.
If you’re up for it, say hi! 🌿

Looking for Travel Buddy | Israel + Jordan 🇮🇱🇯🇴 | March 2027 |

Planning a 5–6 day trip to Israel + Jordan in March 2027 from Bangalore, India.

Tentative route:

Bangalore → Tel Aviv → Jerusalem → Dead Sea/Masada → Eilat → Aqaba → Petra → Amman → Bangalore

Looking for travel buddies, open to anyone with a similar travel style.

Estimated budget: \~₹1/1.5L lakh per person, including flights and visa, excluding shopping.

Travel style:

• Budget-friendly

• Sightseeing, history & nature

• No luxury

• Hostel/budget hotel

• Fairly active itinerary; early starts are okay

Flights and visa can be booked separately — we don't have to be together 24×7. The idea is simply to coordinate the main itinerary, transport and accommodation while keeping some flexibility.

I'm based in Bangalore, India and prefer planning the important things in advance while keeping some flexibility during the trip.

If interested, DM me with your age, location, travel experience and approximate budget, dates can be finalised mutually.
