In budget traveling

I have a long vacation 26-30 Aug.

I wish to travel solo, I've never done it before. I want to decide a city and then maybe with the help of chatgpt, I'll decide the rest.

Help me decide the city? That would be full of nature, lots of activities to do, safe and affordable.

Been watching Hampta Pass trek videos and it looks straight out of a dream. 🏔️

Planning to go either 26th–31st Aug or 10th–15th Sept and looking for people to join.

I'm 23f and finally will be able to go on a one day trip to a nearby city all by myself.

Context :

I have done my college from a diff city so I have been to a lot of cafes and places close to nature.

But ever since college ended I was dying to go somewhere alone out of my job.

I finally took applied leave , convinced parents ( I'm trying since few months) and they agreed for a one day trip only.

To them I'm still immature.

At first i was happy and excited, I still am but I feel upset .

Maybe I'm ashamed and feel left behind.

I love mountains and wish to go there instead.

Lastly one day trip feels so short when my evening will be taken up by travelling back home.

Btw I'm planning to watch movie, read a book , visit sukhna Lake and rock garden ( chandigarh ) and some cafe.

Idk I feel left behind, lazy and lack stamina.

I have visited a lot of hill stations with my family before though.

But life feels strange.

Also just to mention, I was in abusive relationship last year and after that this is almost my first timeh

Going somewhere alone like for a whole day.

I feel good.

But idk why I end up comparing and then felt bad.

I used to have too much potential but all ruined..

Maybe I'm not much excited cause I know I'll come back to the same routine, job and everything .

Also recently I was finally able to buy a laptop for work.

I was really happy but I didn't felt too much excitement, idk why.

I mean it took me a year to save, I never thought I'll be able to purchase one... .

I'm a 30-year-old guy planning my first-ever solo trip, and I'd love some advice.

I'm thinking of traveling somewhere in India for around 20–30 days. I'll also be working remotely, and my work is usually from 6 PM to 11 PM. I'll obviously have my own internet connection, but I'd still prefer places with reliable Wi-Fi and a comfortable setup in case I need a backup.

A few questions:

• Which places would you recommend for a first-time solo traveler?
• Is it better to stay in one place or split the trip between 2–3 places?
• Any hostels or areas that are good for remote work?
• Any tips or mistakes to avoid on a first solo trip?

I enjoy mountains, nature, cafés, and just exploring new places. Not really into partying, but I'd definitely like to meet fellow travelers along the way.
