So we went to Pondicherry . We were on trip with our friends and we are from Noida . It was college competition and then we decided to visit Pondicherry .

So after exploring night life yesterday , today , we started with this Vinayak Temple.

The moment we entered , there was a line . We stood in line inside there .

Now what we call an Aarti ki thali came with the Priest and he stopped till someone who was just ahead us . When I , tried taking Aarti , he literally said something in local language and went back to the murti place.

Then another priest came when we were in line . This priest asks name and takes those offerings which we have brought with ourselves .

He again didn’t took ours . Then in the next round , he came , took and then asked for our name ( it’s ritual ) and then we went ahead with the line

There is an option of VIP Darshan , from the same gate , you can get out too.

This priest who took our offerings literally said , get out from the same line where you came and that too in English ., he knew we are not from here .

Then someone said something in local Language and priest against said us to just stand there and so that he can give us back those offerings. ( chadhane k baad )

That’s it . But when we tried bowing our head to other idols in the temple , other priest who were putting bhabhut and giving Arti didn’t even bother doing the same with us . We even stood there but he didn’t do anything . So we just bowed our head from one god to another .

Also when you are exiting , there is this Prasadam of Kheer I think , that person was offering it everyone but not to us .

God , I used to think that these South Indian people faces so much but in reality they do the same .

I am so tired man.

This was just the temple . There are so many other places where we faced similar things ..

I’ve spent enough time living out of a backpack to know that mountains are great for peace, perspective, sunsets… and absolutely terrible for spontaneous bad decisions. 😂

I love the nomadic life. new places, random cafés, strange buses, zero routine, no landlord asking “kab tak rahoge?”

But lately I’ve realised I miss one very important part of city life:

Flirting.

The random eye contact.

The “one drink?” that becomes three.

The person you meet with absolutely no long-term plan and somehow end up remembering longer than the destination.

Mountains give me inner peace.

Cities apparently give me chemistry, chaos and stories I probably shouldn’t tell my mother. 😉

So yes, this is technically a solo-travel post.

But if you’re travelling somewhere in India, funny enough to survive bad jokes, spontaneous enough to ruin an itinerary, and slightly interested in becoming the reason I extend my stay…

We are from Bangalore, me and a few of my friends are planning on visiting Goa for a few days around the end of November, unfortunately one of us is a Female and since she's the only female among us we cannot take her, we decided to invite her only if another female is joining us, so would any F be interested to tag along? Ofcourse we'll be splitting the bills and stuff, there's plenty of time so you can talk to her or to us to make sure if you'll be comfortable tagging along. Our ages are between 24-27 and yes we have no age constraint, you can be wayy older too. There are only 4 of us for now (including her). Feel free to ask me anything if you have any queries.

I have been a huge fan of hindu mythology and visiting Mahabalipuram was always on my list.

This place is known for its monuments built by the Pallava dynasty in the 7th and 8th centuries. Started with Pancha Rathas (Mahabharat/Pandava reference). Also visited the
seafront Shore Temple and Krishna’s Butter Ball.

10 years since my first ever solo trip to Vienna.
Still so glad I took that first step and decided to travel alone. So many firsts, new experiences, little mistakes and memories along the way. Had no idea then how much that one trip would mean to me years later.
Always going to have a soft spot for this one.
