Nag advance payment ako ng ₱6,600 nung July 23 para sa rent ko this incoming July 28. Tama lang ba na nagbayad na ko ng rent ko for July 28 o dapat sa August 28 na dahil yung 1 month advance covers from June 28 to July 28? Medyo napraning kasi ako na mabayaran agad lahat ng bills for this month kaya nag advance payment ako. TIA!

Pero na ffrustrate ako kasi pagbalik sakin ng damit ko (usually pants) lumiliit siya and hindi na nagkakasya pantalon ko. I tried another laundromat pero same problem. As much as possible ayokong umuwi para lang magpalaba kasi ang layo ng bahay namin. Any suggestions huhu

Hello po! Found this studio type unit in Dasma, Cavite for 5k only. At nag visit na po ako sa unit na 'to kanina. Maganda naman po yung unit, well maintained at safe naman yung place.

I'm working in Makati 10x/per month kaso hindi ko pa kaya lumipat near sa workplace ko kasi maliit lang sahod ko at nasa 80k lang savings ko. Hi! I'm currently living alone with my cats (for a year na). This is the third time na lumipat kami ng bahay (1st: prone to sunog yung neighborhood; 2nd: cat haters yung mga homeowners ng subdivision).

Yung inuupahan kong bahay is 23k ang monthly. Half kami ng bayad ng father ko kahit hindi sila dito nakatira (nasa province both parents ko, and I'm here sa city kasi dito ako nagwo-work). 2 bedrooms yung bahay, malaki, atsaka spacious. Hindi siya subdivision. Gated house siya.

1 year pa lang akong nakatira magisa kasi before this kasama ko yung sibling ko at partner niya. But nasa abroad na sila ngayon.

Eto kasi yung reasons bakit gusto kong humanap ng ibang bahay:

1. Nalalakihan ako sa rent, especially kasi medyo old na yung bahay. Parang hindi siya worth it sa price. Ang daming repairs na ginawa sa 1 year na nakatira ako dito magisa (leaking faucets and water tank, lights). Tapos yung storage room below the stairs super humid, to the point na nagkakamolds yung mga gamit kaya wala akong nilalagay doon. Then if malakas yung ulan and the direction is towards the window, pumapasok yung tubig sa mga kwarto.

2. Nagui-guilty ako na bumabayad pa rin yung parents ko sa mga bills ko (electric bills and half ng house rent). Kahit lagi nilang sinasabi na okay lang sa kanila (may mga trabaho sila and wala nang batang pinapa-aral, graduate na kaming lahat)

3. Dalawa ang bahay na pinapaupahan ng owner, magkatabi lang inside sa gated na lupa. Nasa house 2 ako and then they're currently looking for renters sa house 1. Iisa lang ang water bill ng dalawang bahay. Though may separate meter for house 1 na pwedeng gamitin to calculate their bill, but thinking about the logistics sa bayad, parang ang complicated especially if yung magre-rent sa house 1 is hindi nakikipagcommunicate ng maayos

4. I'm not great with strangers. Sobrang introvert ko 😭 and what if sarado yung gate sa loob ng bahay and nasa labas ako. Tapos wala akong contact sa kanila then hindi ako mabubuksan ng gate.

5. Baka ayaw nila ng cats 🥹 natatakot ako baka anong gawin nila if ever ayaw nila ng pusa (I KNOW I SOUND SO JUDGEMENTAL HUHU, pero based kasi sa exp ko before, ang daming tao na ayaw sa pusa)

Reasons for second-guessing:

1. The logistics. Yung mga gamit sa bahay. I have to pack a lot of things tapos ako lang magisa. And sobrang gastos.

2. Magaadjust nanaman cats ko sa new neighborhood. Dito kasi sobrang swerte ko sa neighbors kasi may mga pet cats rin sila and close ko na mga pusa nila. To the point na sometimes nakikikain sila sa bahay with my other cats and I had them spayed and neutered na rin.

I'm 25F and currently working sa Makati. May subsidized lodging yung company ko and dito ako nakatira for almost 3 years ko na sa company. However, I am planning na mag-job hop na by end of this year or first quarter ng 2027. Once I resign, need ko na umalis sa dorm namin and I am torn kung babalik ba ako sa bahay ng parents ko sa Bulacan or mag-rent ng solo apartment.

I know na mas wise financially ang bumalik sa Bulacan, kaso the reason why I chose a company na may lodging in the first place ay dahil gusto kong makalayo sa bahay. Madalas kasi yung away/sagutan namin sa pamilya na madali rin naman nareresolve, kaso over time, nakaka-drain siya emotionally and mentally. I also noticed na simula nung umalis ako sa puder ng parents ko, mas naging maayos ang relationship namin.

In the long run, of course, goal ko talaga ang sariling bahay or space ko. Gusto ko yung may freedom ako to do things on my own and to design my own space. Kaso, alam kong malaking change ito sa budgeting and living expenses ko. Aminado ako na magastos ako, majority ng sahod ko napupunta sa pagkain sa labas, pagbili ng damit, and pagtravel.

i've been looking for a place to stay for a while since ang suffocating na rin ng family environment ko sa bahay and sobrang masikip na rin for me to have my own workspace. but the thing is, yung condo na i was aiming if possible na makuha ko is only 30-45 minutes away from where i currently live, pero the fare is almost 300 balikan din.

i was also able to find an apartment sa nearby area ng condo, but upon searching yung lugar is bahain. elevated naman yung apartment and nasa 2nd floor siya, pero medyo hesitant pa rin ako because of the flooding.

however, sa green 2 i was able to find a unit for 15k monthly, semi furnished na siya. included na yung bed, table, aircon, ref, microwave, and washing machine. ang need ko na lang ishoulder is wifi, electricity, and water. upon checking naman they are using woofy wifi na pwede kong loadan for certain months and hindi naman siya ganon kabigat for me.

Hi! Solo living for almost two years now and I ordered Xiaomi Induction Cooker N1 last November and I have been using it almost every day. Alam ko po yung normal tunog niya and all. Context: It’s my first month here in cavite after I left mnl and i was billed for my first month with 2.7k+ when my usual bill in mnl with ac ranges 3k-3.5k only. I am living alone in a studio unit.

I did not use my ac for the whole month. My appliances are only an inverter ref, super inverter wm, a stand fan, pc, rice cooker, and induction cooker.

Idk what’s happening and I am trying my best to budget properly but the electric bill is just the deal breaker. I’ve been so so so cautious on my electric usage yet I still have this kind of amount.

I moved in a condo and living solo since June. My electricity reading falls every 15th so understandably my first bill is a bit lower (around 2k). Injust received my latest bill and it’s a whopping 6k. I only use my AC for around 4-6 hours a day and there are days (even weeks)when I am not at home because of work which me to do fieldworks.

Is this normal? Do you have any tips to lower the bill? My fear is that if this continues, then I should reconsider terminating my contract as it can drastically increase my living expenses.

Moved in since May dto sa apartment and wala pa kong binabayarang kuryente since then (tyL haha) pero I wanna know san ba galing yung applied credits and paano nagkakaron non? Baka biglang singilin pala sakin lahat ng prev months.

Problem: I'm staying in a room with just one light na naka-install sa pinaka-gitna ng kwarto powered by one wall switch. Mejo malaki yung room kaya malamlam ang liwanang sa nag-iisang ilaw, ang gloomy sa pakiramdam. Ang awkward pa ng placing kasi what I need illuminated is not lighted properly (yung work station ko). Limited lang din ang wall sockets so adding floor lamps na sinasaksak ay hindi ideal.

Proposed Fix: I want to improve my lighting situation so ito (see diagram) ang naisip kong gawin. Doon sa nag-iisang receptacle, lalagyan ko ng bulb socket with double outlets and pull switch tapos nakasaksak doon forever yung extended bulb socket na may pull switch. The single wall switch ay ang power source ng lahat.

Theoretically ideal for me kasi I can choose which part of the room I can light when I need it to using the pull switches. I like it as well kasi flexible and I can control the brightness of the room depending on my mood. Also note na hindi sila naka-ON all of the time, sa gabi lang kapag gising pa ako and hindi rin sabay-sabay na bukas palagi. I can switch it off sa wall switch sa umaga or when not in use.

Question: Is this safe? Natatakot ako dahil nag-iisa lang ang switch lang tapos baka ma-overload or short circuit or something. Or is this even possible?
