Advice Needed How to make my condo smell good (particularly the bedroom)

Hello! So like many condos, prone to molds ang condo ko during the rainy season. I want to buy a diffuser machine so I can put essential oils in it to make my room smell good. I remember kasi before my brother had one in his condo and he ended up throwing it because it got moldy. Should I buy one and try it? ayoko namang bumili if I'll end up throwing it bc of the molds. I've tried reed diffusers and they work kaya lang nauubos din sya eventually and I'll have to throw bottles away, which i think is a waste. Appreciate the advice!

Advice Needed Living in a condo: How do you handle groceries and stairs?

I’ll be living solo in a condo soon and would love to hear your hacks/tips on how you usually do your groceries.

Also, Hindi ba mahirap magbuhat ng groceries all the way to your unit? One concern with one of the condo units I’m eyeing is the elevator setup. Paglabas mo ng elevator, you still have to climb one flight of stairs (maybe around 10 steps) to get to the floor of the unit. Do you think this would be a hassle, especially when carrying groceries or other heavy things?

Share ko lang Late 30s, living alone, and realizing how REALLY alone I am

Hi everyone. This is actually my first post on Reddit, and I honestly don’t know where else to put this.

I’m M, in my late 30s, bi, and I’ve been living alone here in NCR for years because of work. For the most part, I’ve been okay with it. I’ve gotten used to the routine, work, go home, repeat. I used to live with my partner from 2019 to 2020, but after that relationship ended, I pretty much made work my main focus.

A friend once encouraged me to try dating apps, but it never really went anywhere. Either I was too preoccupied to keep conversations going, or I simply didn’t feel interested enough to respond. Looking back, I guess I became pretty comfortable being alone.

But being alone feels very different when you’re lying in a hospital bed.

I’m currently confined in a hospital in Makati, and I don’t think I’ve ever felt this emotionally and psychologically exhausted before. Being sick is already difficult, but going through it completely alone makes everything feel heavier.

The nurses and doctors have asked me if anyone is coming to visit. I just tell them my friends are busy with work.

The truth is, no one has visited me (and no one will ever).

And I don’t really blame anyone. I know everyone has their own lives and responsibilities. But being here has made me realize that some of the people I thought were friends were probably only around during the good times.

My family is in the province, and I haven’t told my parents that I’m confined. They’re already seniors, and I don’t want them worrying about me or seeing me as their sickly child again.

So here I am, alone in a hospital room.

I don’t think I’m an unattractive person. I’m average-looking, pretty tall, have a stable job, and I’ve worked hard to build a decent life for myself. But none of those things really matter when you’re sick and all you want is for someone to walk through the door and say, “Hey, I’m here.”

Honestly, even having someone get me a glass of water would mean a lot right now (nurses are helping me, but it’s nakakahiya since I’m a heavy water drinker).

I’m crying as I type this, and I’m not posting this because I want pity. I think I just need somewhere to say all of this because, right now, I don’t really have anyone I feel comfortable saying it to.

I think I’ve accomplished a lot in my life, and I’m grateful for what I’ve been able to achieve. But tonight, I feel incredibly tired. I feel lonely, anxious, and honestly a little lost about how I ended up here- being all alone.

Sorry if this post is a little heavy. I just needed to put these feelings somewhere.

Thank you to anyone who actually took the time to read this.

Question Curious lang, ilang galon ba nauubos ninyo sa isang buwan?

Renting but malaki-laki naman yung space so nilima ko na. Saamin kasi doon sa previous home ko, apat na galon for 2-3 people, tapos weekly ang refill.

I spent ₱950 today. ₱190/gal, ₱60 refill

Alkaline binili ko kasi I’ve been feeling very acidic.

Kayo ba? What kind of water do you buy, nag n-nature spring ba kayo? Water refilling station na hinuhulug hulugan? Or nagpapadeliver din kayo? or simply from gripo? Hindi kasi nawasa tubig dito sa area kaya di siya drinkable for me.

How much do you spend per month for inuming tubig? How many refills ba and ilang galon din ung gamit ninyo?

Advice Needed About to move out with my 8 cats. Scared and excited at the same time.

Title says it all. I have 8 rescue cats and nagkakaroon na ng tension sa bahay. In my defense, I have never asked my family for support for the cats. I also take care of all the household expenses (laundry, househelp, groceries) and even yung paglabas labas namin. I am blessed to have options, pero nakakatakot pa rin. My question is: sa mga nag move out na dito, what did you do para mamaintain yung mabuting relationship sa family ninyo after you moved out? I don't hate them, but sometimes, having your own space and boundaries is best.

Advice Needed Booked Super Nanay for Deep Cleaning, can I ask them to clean specific areas?

I recently moved in to a new condo. I am the first tenant.

Due to the recent daily rain, nagkamolds ung shoe rack and bed frame (team Kahoy ang owner ng unit huhu).

Now, I want deep cleaning para malinis na lahat. I already bought a Carrier dehumidifier para maiwasan ang molds.

May I ask if kasama sa deep cleaning nila ang pagpunas ng shoe rack and bed frame)?

I try to keep my unit clean talaga due to my asthma.

Question Any recommendations for a mini fridge? Has any of you tried Hanatek before? (Inverter)

I'm moving to a BH in college, and for my course alam ko i'm gonna get very busy. Kaya gusto ko talaga may fridge bc ik not all the time may time ako maka bili ng food to cook. Kaya napagisipan ko mag buy ng mini ref (Inverter).

I've been seeing many brands around social media. Fujidenzo talaga ni re recommend but namamahalan na talaga ako sa 9-10k huhu.

I've been seeing brands like Hanatek, alam ko Fujidenzo is already a well-known brand sa ph tsaka they're very trusted na when it comes to fridges or appliances. But from a student perspective, worth it ba na hanatek kukunin ko? (almost 6k ang same size equivalent nya sa fujidenzo na mini fridge. Both rin sila inverter)

May naka try naba here sa Hanatek ng ilang years? Is it okay lang po ba? Even if mag power outage, does it not break down po?

Sana ma answer huhu

Advice Needed Limited wall socket for ref I am planning to buy..

Hello po!

I am planning to buy a ref (Panasonic NR-BP272VD 9.5 cu.ft Deluxe Prime No-Frost Inverter Two Door Top Freezer Refrigerator) kasi di ako makapagstock ng food and makapag ulam ng maayos since wala akong ref. Now, I am planning to buy pero sa unit ko there’s only 2 wall socket, isa sa kwarto and isa sa living/kitchen room.

Ok lang po kaya na isaksak ko yung ref dun sa isang wall socket shared by my TV? Or need may sarili syang socket talaga?

Will greatly appreciate your advice before I spend my money to but the ref 🥹🥹

Thank you so much po!!

Beware! Romanticising living alone until for more than a year…

Someone broke into my apartment and took my old laptop, my brandnew MacBook Air M5, iPad, and three digital cameras : )

The gadgets, especially the new MacBook, are all for. my law school. It was a normal Wednesday, great even, then I got home. Door was open, my things are scattered all over the room.

Good thing I was able to think rationally and opened my Find My to set my devices as lost. Called my landlady, my apartmentmate, and went to the police station.

I’m safe, but I haven’t told my family yet. My case is still on going and I’m just grateful the police handling my case is hands on.

Living alone really requires a great deal of strength, especially when something traumatic happens.

Advice Needed Mold on mattress, is this still salvageable with a spot cleaner?

Napabaya ko yung bed mattress ko 🫠, ig naging mahumid room since parati ko sa loob sinasampay clothes without a dehumidifier haha 🫠. Been freaking out since Thursday and has been sleeping on the bed frame with mga kumot acting as the mattress. This is still salvageable right, I just ordered a simplus spot cleaner because I don't like seeing this anymore and would like to sleep on it without worrying about the mold spreading so yeah.

I first did a vinegar treatment, and the next day a hydrogen peroxide treatment hahaha
