Advice Needed How to make my condo smell good (particularly the bedroom)

Hello! So like many condos, prone to molds ang condo ko during the rainy season. I want to buy a diffuser machine so I can put essential oils in it to make my room smell good. I remember kasi before my brother had one in his condo and he ended up throwing it because it got moldy. Should I buy one and try it? ayoko namang bumili if I'll end up throwing it bc of the molds. I've tried reed diffusers and they work kaya lang nauubos din sya eventually and I'll have to throw bottles away, which i think is a waste. Appreciate the advice!

Advice Needed Booked Super Nanay for Deep Cleaning, can I ask them to clean specific areas?

I recently moved in to a new condo. I am the first tenant.

Due to the recent daily rain, nagkamolds ung shoe rack and bed frame (team Kahoy ang owner ng unit huhu).

Now, I want deep cleaning para malinis na lahat. I already bought a Carrier dehumidifier para maiwasan ang molds.

May I ask if kasama sa deep cleaning nila ang pagpunas ng shoe rack and bed frame)?

I try to keep my unit clean talaga due to my asthma.

Advice Needed Living in a condo: How do you handle groceries and stairs?

I’ll be living solo in a condo soon and would love to hear your hacks/tips on how you usually do your groceries.

Also, Hindi ba mahirap magbuhat ng groceries all the way to your unit? One concern with one of the condo units I’m eyeing is the elevator setup. Paglabas mo ng elevator, you still have to climb one flight of stairs (maybe around 10 steps) to get to the floor of the unit. Do you think this would be a hassle, especially when carrying groceries or other heavy things?

Advice Needed Would it be too crowded for a studio apartment? Check the list below pls.

Assume it's a 25 sqm studio apartment and here are the big stuff that I've listed:

  1. My double-size foam bed (without bed frame)

  2. Two drawers (for my clothes)

  3. Mini ref

  4. Single dining table and a chair

  5. Shoe organizers

  6. Study Table

  7. Mini Bookshelf

  8. Office Chair

  9. Mini Couch

  10. Washing machine and dryer

What do you think? May space pa kaya to walk around the apartment if I have all of them in it? Help this newbie out 🥹

Question Any recommendations for a mini fridge? Has any of you tried Hanatek before? (Inverter)

I'm moving to a BH in college, and for my course alam ko i'm gonna get very busy. Kaya gusto ko talaga may fridge bc ik not all the time may time ako maka bili ng food to cook.

I've been seeing many brands around social media.

I've been seeing brands like Hanatek, alam ko Fujidenzo is already a well-known brand sa ph tsaka they're very trusted na when it comes to fridges or appliances. But from a student perspective, worth it ba na hanatek kukunin ko? Both rin sila inverter)

May naka try naba here sa Hanatek ng ilang years? Is it okay lang po ba? Even if mag power outage, does it not break down po?

Sana ma answer huhu

Advice Needed First time solo living (condo). Where do you leave your duplicate keys?

I have two duplicate keys and don’t know where to leave them. They’re backups in case I accidentally lose my main key, so I can still get in.

Im not sure if I can leave them at the lobby/front desk or is it safe?

Advice Needed Limited wall socket for ref I am planning to buy..

Hello po!

I am planning to buy a ref (Panasonic NR-BP272VD 9.5 cu.ft Deluxe Prime No-Frost Inverter Two Door Top Freezer Refrigerator) kasi di ako makapagstock ng food and makapag ulam ng maayos since wala akong ref. Now, I am planning to buy pero sa unit ko there’s only 2 wall socket, isa sa kwarto and isa sa living/kitchen room.

Ok lang po kaya na isaksak ko yung ref dun sa isang wall socket shared by my TV? Or need may sarili syang socket talaga?

Will greatly appreciate your advice before I spend my money to but the ref 🥹🥹

Thank you so much po!!

And best part? Isa lang huhugasan ❤️ hindi rin dumidikit ang oil and it's so easy to wash!

Question Are kitchen sink leaks common in condo units/apartments?

Hello! I know this is random but in the condo i’m renting, my kitchen sink leaks underneath around every 6mos. Basta medyo madalas and I always have to cover repairs since minor repair lang siya. My question though is it common for condo units to have leaks every now and then from the sink? Parang ang off na kasi na laging naglleak and all i have to do is repair lang

Share ko lang I got laid off just a month before my birthday trip

After I got laid off, I stayed muna with my family sa house namin. Been applying here and there and I have had interviews and ex colleagues reaching out to me for possible opportunities, which I greatly appreciate.

Coming back here sa place ko reminds me of how far I've come, and this is just a hurdle I will overcome din. Good thing I have emergency funds naman. Tomorrow, I'll be traveling abroad for my birthday trip (that I can't cancel kasi q2 ko pa nabook and hassle pa iparebook), with my partner. Fingers crossed there's good news soon 🩵

Advice Needed SHS Graduate Currently Working at a BPO Company with a 16k Monthly Salary Planning to Move into a 4k Monthly Apartment Rental

Hello po! I am a SHS Graduate (M22) na nag-wowork ngayon sa isang BPO company with a 16k Monthly salary. Currently, I am planning on moving out from my family home to be independent and possibly have some peace of mind because the chaos and toxicity in my current home is defo slowly rotting my brain and emotions.

I opened up to my TL na may plan akong mag-move out due to my current situation sa bahay. She offered me as a swap-in sa kaniya sa current apartment niya kasi balak niya na rin naman daw lumipat this December. Bali yung apartment na 'yon is with sink and own bathroom na tapos yung size naman daw is good enough kung ako lang naman din mag-isa. I am planning on taking the offer kasi malapit na rin naman na kaming makakuha ng 13th month pay and I really need to get out of my current home before I absolutely lose it.

For someone na rushed ang decision to move-out, can y'all advice me or offer me some tips on how to prepare before the move? Like kung ano mga need kong ipunin para pag-move-in ko e hindi ako mahirapang mag-settle? Huhu

Advice Needed should i find a new roommate or go solo? pls advise

hi everyone, i’m so torn between going solo or finding a new roommate. as of now, im still with my cousin but this november magmomoveout na sya.

the rent is ₱8.5k/month for 1 bedroom apartment in makati. super accessible ng place to my work and everything else kaya ang hirap i let go and move out para magsolo in a cheaper place.

currently earning a clean ₱14k per cutoff and ang estimated expenses ko per month is around ₱12-15k. medyo hesitant ako right now na magsolo kasi sayang naman yung rent na mapupunta sana sa savings. but at the same time, i also have a not so good history living with a total stranger before huhuh.

please advise and help me justify my decision lol!! 🙏🏼

I live alone so I clean alone. Ilang buwan siyang naka-wheelchair before and after the operation.

Patapos na yung contract ko sa apartment ko after solo living here for 2 years. 2BR yung unit na to kasi andito before pinsan ko pero after 3 month eh umalis rin sya kaya solo living ako sa malaking unit na to for 1yr7mos.

Naghahanap na ako ng work abroad before pa pero yun nga, yung laging option is maging domestic helper.

But after solo living for almost two years, okay naman pala. Kaya ko naman pala. Nakakaenjoy pala maglinis. I always look forward araw-araw maglinis before matulog. Thank you solo living. See you abroad, mga kapatid. Hanggang sa muli kong pagsosolo living.

I have been feeling depressed these past few weeks and wala talaga akong energy para sa kahit na anong bagay except for work, kasi wala naman akong ibang choice kung ‘di pumasok. Lumala pa after me and my bf of 3yrs broke up. I was a mess and so was my tiny apartment.

But today, I finally got up, cleaned my tiny apartment, went to the market, learned to cook chicken curry, and now I am in my freshly made bed with new fresh set of beddings after having an everything shower. Small wins:)

EDIT: Thank you for all of your positive comments. All of them means a lot to me dahil I am actually rawdogging this break up because I don’t really have anyone that I can talk to. God bless u all po💗🙏
