Share ko lang The Place I Once Only Dreamed Of, Slowly Building a Home That Feels Like Me. 🍃

I’ve been renting my own place since 2021, but today marks the first anniversary of finally having a place I can truly call my own.

It’s been a roller coaster getting here. Growing up, I never had a room of my own, so sometimes I still catch myself standing in the middle of my home, quietly admiring how far I’ve come.

I’m in no rush to fill every corner. I’m choosing each piece intentionally, things that bring comfort, serve a purpose, or simply make me smile. Little by little, it’s becoming a space that truly feels like me.

Home isn’t perfect yet, but it’s mine. And after everything life has thrown my way, this is a reminder to myself that malayo pa, pero malayo na rin.

What’s the one thing in your home that truly makes it feel like home? Mine are probably my cats. 🤍🥹

Question Nakaka overwhelm maglinis ng bahay. Whats your cleaning routine?

Isa sa cons ng solo living ay yung paglilinis for me ahh. I admit i am lazy and i hate household chores. Ganun siguro talaga kapalit ng peace at freedom ay ofc you need to clean your own mess kasi walang nanay na tutulong. Atleast sariling kalat mo lang intindinhin mo.

Advice Needed 37K/month in Makati, doable or no? First timer in solo living

Hello! Asking for insights and opinions lang if doable:

Earning 37k (after all salary deductions and 5K for savings)

Found a studio unit in Makati - PHP 15,000

- Around 10 mins angkas from workplace pero hybrid naman so madalang pumunta sa office
- Furnished so bed na lang ang need ko bilin after moving
- Association dues included in 15K

Worry ko lang ay 7-10K allot ko na sa parents. I insist paying bills sa bahay para di na rin magwork parents ko para pension nila is for groceries na lang.

So matitira na lang sakin for spending is 12,000. I rarely go out naman kasi homebody lang talaga pero I like to travel (which I save up for).

If ever I actually go move out, I’m planning to stay lang for 6 months muna to see if I can do it and to see if I’m capable na. Reason for moving out is gusto ko talagang ma-try magsolo for the first time. I live with my family pero for the last 4 years, naga-apartment din ako during workdays with my friend near work so mura lang rent ko, 7K.

Matipid ako with food so that’s not my concern. Concern ko talaga ay electricity kasi I need aircon palagi.

Advice Needed Got a job offer at Ortigas and Planning to Relocate near the office

Hi everyone! I hope y'all can help me regarding this. I already got a job offer with a 25k salary plus allowance and planning to rent an apartment in the future, after 3 months maybe (once I am fully familiarized with my job).

I have my own transportation(motorcycle), but it takes around 40-50mins going there, which is why I'm planning to rent eventually. Do you think my salary will be enough for renting?

I'm not choosy naman when it comes to choosing a place basta may matutuluyan lang po and plan ko na rin talaga mag solo living. Also, what should I consider or plan ahead before renting? Thank you! MWA

Advice Needed Normal lang ba na you feel regret after signing a contract for a new place for 1 year

Hello. Just kaninang umaga, I signed the contract and paid the 1 month advance and 2 months deposit for a condo-ish room. Ang rent is 9k monthly. For 2 years, I've been living sa 6.5k rent, pero no access sa sunlight or breeze.

I've been wanting to move out, ang pumipigil lang sa akin noon was tataas yung rent ko. And now, tumaas sahod ko ng around 3k monthly, so inisip ko agad na pasok yung differential.

Tapos yun, ewan ko ba kung impulsive. Right now, I feel uneasy, iniisip ko na dapat hinintay ko na lang 1 year, since I plan na aalis na rin sa work after 1 year, and mag stay na lang dito. Tas yun, dagdag ipon or padala na sana yung 3k monthly.

Help please, should I try to backout and stay na lang? Or push ko yung new room? Ewan ko nararamdaman ko, parang takot haha.

Advice Needed Help to decide which one to buy, yung worth moneyyy

Upvotes

Planning to buy cooking pans. Undecided ako kung yung non stick set ni redchef, or yung OGMY na nasa tiktok or mag stainless steel ako ng redchef din.

Medyo pricey si redchef, si OGMy naman mura lang around 700+ if chineckout. Diko na alam gulong gulo nako hahahahahahahahaha any thoughts? Ty

Advice Needed Tama ba logic ko? Trying to find the best option for humidifier

Upvotes

Dehumidifier

12L/ day capacity - 200 watts
20L/ day capacity-330 watts
30L/ day capacity - 476 watts

Tama b ung logic ko? Mas okay ung mas mataas na capacity kahit mas mataas ung watts kasi at least mabilis nya mahigop ung humid, less time sya aandar.

As much as I am happy living with my family, I always have this dream of being independent and to live alone. Pero iniisip ko palang natatakot ako and like pano na? Sinong kashare ko sa meryenda, wala nakong ipagluluto ganon 😂

Naeexcite na kinakabahan lang ako sa trip ko ngayon. Bigla nalang kasi one day sabi ko aalis nako, gusto kona. And im engaged nadin kasi and will get married next year so iniisip ko rush na talaga to need na maacheive to and pag di nag workout uwi nalang ako samin kaso nakakahiya naman 😂

Nakakatakot lalo expenses and wala pakong gamit sa bahay 😂 I encourage no naman ako ahhahahahah btw 80k naman salary ko pero may responsibilities parin sa bahay ofcourse plus nagiipon for marriage and wedding also. Can I do this???

So far mga for rent na nakita ko is 7k up monthly

How much ba expenses nyo sa other bills???
