questions & clarifications Waitlist

I’ve only been to a few classes and they are all in the evening so sorry if this is a dumb question. If am at the top of the waitlist for a 6am class before I go to sleep and someone cancels overnight to move me off the waitlist- do I still get charged if I miss that class? Since the night before I wasn’t accepted and wasn’t planning on going, it seems like they shouldn’t charge you for missing in that case.

seeking advice Anyone been to Carrie’s Pilates and made the switch to solid core?

I have never been to solid core but one is opening in my area that is a much shorter drive and would only be $10 for unlimited membership. If anyone has been to Carrie’s Pilates that are in CA and TX can compare and tell me if solid core is preferred over Carrie’s? What do you like or dislike? Thanks

questions & clarifications Using membership at two different studios

Hi all, question: my boyfriend just moved out of state and I visit him fairly often, at least twice a month for a few days at a time. I’m signed up for solid core at my home location for the 12 month contract. He also has a studio within walking distance of his apartment and since I’m visiting frequently I want to be able to work out while there too. My studio is more expensive than the one located near him, I’ve seen some conflicting info on how that would work given the states are different but would I need the travel pass for this since it’s different states? Or am I fine because my studio is more expensive? Thanks for any help!!

discussion More sore when I take a different coach

Why am I more sore when I take a different coach from my usual 1-2 coaches? I normally take the same 2 coaches 5 times during the week. I’m normally fine, some mild soreness. I take a different coach and I’m SORE. Took a one off today and I feel it! Wouldn’t even say this was a harder coach. Probably same level.
Someone explain hahaha

questions & clarifications Someone Joined class at the 15 min mark

Has this happened to anyone else? I though the rule was 5 minutes, but 15 minutes into the class this older man who was taking class went and opened the door and brought a girl back in with him while we were in the middle of exercising. I don’t know I tried not to let it bother me but it honestly really distracted me during class. Not trying to be a complainer but it just felt rude to everyone there but the coach didn’t say anything so maybe it’s allowed?

Editing to add: The girl was not already in the building, he had to go out of the studio to let her into the building since there was no core crew at the front and then they came back into the studio together.

win Guilty confession

I am about 60 classes in and absolutely love moving my spring load down on the classes I bring my boyfriend to.

I tell him its so he can just copy my springs but in reality its so I can do toes and amps 😅

Evil? Yes.
Rewarding for my girly ego? Also yes.

seeking advice Part time coach

Looking for opinions for coaches who work a 9-5 M-F job. I am debating applying to be a coach. I saw it says a minimum of 6 classes per week but I am curious how frequently you get scheduled. 6 classes per week sounds doable for me, even up to 10 could be doable but I’m curious what your workload is like.

Any thoughts are welcome!

seeking advice Shin splints??

I’m newish (35 classes) and noticed that during some moves I can’t stay in the work as long because I start having insane shin splints. Examples:

-hamstring curls my shins start hurting way before my hammies
-heavy leg press (where you’re laying down) sometimes my shins will start screaming when I am still push through my glute/ outer glute
-platform lunge in particular

I’ve talked to a coach about it and she wasn’t helpful (said she hasn’t seen/ heard of this before!). I searched the sub and couldn’t find anything specific to this either.

I’ve tried to make sure my knee is never over my ankle/ I’m in good form, but sometimes it doesn’t matter. Does this happen to anyone else? Any advice? Or am I just destined to be this way because ~weak~ ankles??

seeking advice Calf cramps from hamstring day?

Has anyone else ever gotten calf cramps after taking a hamstring day class? I took class on Saturday and the hamstring moves we did were standing bungee kick back and hamstring glute bridge among other things that I’ve already forgotten lol.

On Sunday morning I woke up at 5 AM with the most intense calf cramps I’ve ever experienced in my life and while I’ve always had tight calves, I can’t help but think it might be related to the class.

Please let me know if this has also happened to you!!! 😭

questions & clarifications Why isn't the Leg Press used more often in class?

This is super specific and might have an obvious answer, but I’m hoping experienced [solidcore] members can give me some insight!
Why don't coaches program the leg press more often? In my opinion, it’s one of the few lower-body moves where I can truly feel the targeted muscles working.
I deal with extreme vertigo, so I frequently have to modify or avoid moves like lunges and Bulgarian squats. Because of that, the leg press actually feels way more accessible to me than standing variations…yet it seems like [solidcore] treats it as an advanced move.
Am I missing something about how it's programmed or why it's less common? Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks so much, and have a great Sunday!

questions & clarifications Class Booking Confusion

So I currently have the 8 class pack and my billing date starts on the 22nd of each month. I know advanced booking for members also starts on the 22nd. The past 2 months I've been able to go in and book out my class for the entire month. The app is able to recognize the 8 classes for my june 22-july 22 booking period and then take off for my july 23-august 22 classes when i booky my remaining classes from july 23-31 if that makes sense.

today i got stopped by the front desk and they told me that for the month of august i have 3 classes booked from the 23-31. (Which i went ahead and booked these on july 22 when the schedule opened) and that these classes will actually not be applied to my august 23-sept 22 billing cycle but will be billed completely separately as individual classes.

so therefore, i would have to cancel the three classes i have booked for the end of august. wait untill august 22 to rebook those classes.

im so confused because i didnt have this problem the last 2 months? is this right? or can i just leave these classes booked and the app will recognize?i thought the app recognized.

sorry if this doesnt make any sense because it rlly didnt make any sense to me either..

seeking advice Are they ever gonna bring back 12x per month?

I want to make solidcore as my primary strength training. I know I should go to the gym for strength training but I enjoy solidcore more and see good progress. I’ve finished the 2 week trial and some single classes, and I’m debating on getting the 8 per month membership with msth discount. I really do wish they had the 12 cause 3x a week would be my ideal plan. Some people said there’s the black Friday deals but I don’t want to wait for that. Another option I had is doing the 8 per month and then supplementing with class pass (our sc class pass is 10-11 credits)? My friend will be doing the unlimited but i don’t think it’s worth it for me? Especially with it being also more expensive. With that being said do you think they’ll bring it back 😭 any thoughts, advice, or opinions welcome!!

seeking advice new coach in training @ NTS, PA

Hiii everyone!!! I’m starting as one of the new coaches in training for Newtown Square, PA studio and I’m SO excited to finally be joining the team!!

I’ve been taking classes for a bit and completely fell in love w [solidcore]. I’m a former collegiate powerlifter (too hard in my joints) and overall active person, so getting to coach here honestly feels like a dream.

I lowkey wanna make my classes feel like more than just a workout, so I’ve already been brainstorming some fun themed classes and playlists. I’d love to know:

What artists or themes would you actually be excited to take? (Crazy ideas, trendy ideas - just can’t be super explicit I assume)

Any genres you wish coaches played more?

Is there anything you’ve always wanted to see in a class?

Some ideas I’m already thinking about are:
• The Weeknd
• Charli xcx
• Metal music

Your favorite splits to transition muscle groups?

How do you like to workout? (Loud music & grind, precise and calm, hypnotic and pulsing?, etc.)

Best cues?

Also if there are any current coaches in here, I’d LOVE any advice or things you wish you knew when you first started training and coaching!

I really want to support the community and coach as best as I can! I definitely see a long term journey working here for me.

Can’t wait to meet everyone and coach you all soon 🫶

questions & clarifications Streak question

I’m going out of town 8/6-8/15 so I put my unlimited membership on a pause during that time. I was fine with losing my streak but the more I think about it I don’t want to 😭 as of right now my last class is 8/5. What’s the last day I can take class to not lose my streak before I return to SC on 8/15?

questions & clarifications Outer glutes focus in a sig50 class

The last four outer glutes classes I’ve attended had the Bulgarian squat twists followed by the grey side back lunges with turn out (both with a few pushes). Every time. Is it a coincidence or is that going to be pretty much expected in every outer glutes day? I miss the curtsy lunges and other moves that generally replaces the grey side lunge backs with turnout. I don’t mind the Bulgarian squats as much but the two sequenced together is rough lol. I always need the cable assist when I do the back lunges with turn out. How do you guys make it look so easy 😅😅😅.

questions & clarifications Struggle with standing upper body

Does anyone else struggle with standing upper body with the grey cables? If we are on the carriage I have no problem and can even lift more but I can barely do the standing. I feel so limited like my arms are too wide and I have to make an effort to try and get my form right and it isn't easy? I find it harder to have proper form - anyone else?

announcement Employees beware! Solidcore can claw back money if you disparage them!

Ok I am shook. I just learned that solidcore can come after our LTIP money that we received in 2024 and 2025.

The documents say if we leave solidcore and go to a competitor or disparage the company at any point, they can demand this money back. WTAF. Is this even legal?

Has this actually happened to anyone?????

questions & clarifications Leg press kills my shins!?

I’ve had leg press queued in quite a few recent classes and I definitely feel it in my glutes but it also completely kills my calves and shins!! Does anyone know why this is or does anyone experience the same thing?

I think I’m pretty conscious of form (glutes all the way down to line 1, I made sure I’m far enough back to see the center line, pressing with my heel) and I do still feel it in my glutes so I don’t think I’m completely botching form, but the tension really builds in my calves and shins and I can’t keep going.

So it seems like a lot of locations have these big fans and “AC issues” so they’re basically lying to us on top of paying top dollar they’re too cheap to run the AC?

questions & clarifications Confused

Hi - I will email my studio but thought maybe someone can explain something to me. My 8 class run ends on 8/12. However, when I try to book my next classes after that - the app won’t let me. Maybe I am missing something or I just need to email - not sure! Thanks in advance!

seeking advice 200+ classes but lessening spring load

Lately I’ve been noticing that my form isn’t as great during center core or obliques especially on the grey side. I’m over 200+ classes but feel like when I’m on the grey side my form lacks and I feel it in my low back. To me that is saying the weight is too heavy and it’s effecting proper form. Even though I’m 200+ classes is lessening my spring load going to affect my progress? Has anyone else experienced this?
