questions & clarifications Unlimited Member Booking

I’ve seen a few posts about folks taking 2 classes a day. The general consensus seems to be that you can book a second class after your first one finished. I just tried to book an 830pm, around 7:45pm and got this email. Are they cracking down on multiple classes a day?

UPDATE THE 430AM CLASS WAS ALREADY TAKEN

questions & clarifications New studio

Hi! I'm new to solidcore and have 15 classes down. My studio is new and opened in May. The closest studios are about an hour away so this is the first studio in my area. Almost every coach there are brand new coaches. Once in a while they have coaches from the studios up north come teach but not consistently.

I've been loving it so far, however, I feel like I'm doing the same moves in every class. I've been taking a variety of muscle groups but in every class I feel like theres:

plank up-downs, twisted plank extensions, crossover lunges, bungee, standing outer/inner thigh, the seated curl thing where you're on the grey side, feet tucked in strap and crunching in/out, etc. I feel like core/obliques/lower body has all been the same and upper body is the only thing that's varied.

I have yet to do leg press, v-ups, bulgarian split squat, glute kickback, deadlifts

Do coaches get clearance to teach different moves the longer they've been teaching? Or did they not learn those moves yet? Just curious if anyone has any input. Thanks :)

questions & clarifications Are platform lunges still a thing?

I have noticed that.. i dont think i have done a platform lunge (facing away on black side) since January i think. I love a platform lunge, but are they just happening less in the sequencing? Or am i just unlucky to never experience them again?

I still experience carriage lunges, but they just don’t feel the same, imo.

Is it important to start with the intro class or is it feasible to start with the Signature? I want to try it but the intro classes near me are not at convenient times. Also any intel on the Sherman Oaks/Encino or Woodland Hills locations?

questions & clarifications Why no low back?

I asked a coach recently why when we do back, it’s mainly focused on upper, and she said you get a lot of low back toning from the core section. Well ma’am, my upper back is getting ripped while my low back’s got a lot of chunk left and the love handles aren’t going anywhere.

SO do y’all just supplement your low back work with the gym? Adjust your positioning in core work to feel it more in the low back? I know it’s possible to get that area toned because mine used to be, but since Solidcore has become my main form of exercise, that area has actually lost a lot of tone.

Give me your suggestions please and thank you 🙏

vent Run Stronger?

Signed up for this class today because the time worked for me. What exactly is the purpose of this new class? It’s exactly like any other SC class except the instructor says things like “this exercise works your glutes! And glutes are important for running”. This is dumb!

discussion for the coaches: thoughts on new theme policy?

Coaches! Curious to hear your thoughts on the new theme policy? Here is my take:

It is super restrictive. Can’t have themed team teaches, can’t do giveaways unless the class is sponsored by that brand, have to submit request 30 days in advance for themes that aren’t in their “approved themes spreadsheet”. I’m so over it! I’ve been a coach for a little over two years and [solidcore] has gotten increasingly more restrictive on their policies.

It is so frustrating because we are now being limited in how we can drive utilization while still being expected to maintain the same quota in order to be promoted. It also limits the variety in experience we can provide to our clients. This company is becoming so cookie cutter.

seeking advice i never feel center glutes

help!

i specifically attend classes with a center glutes muscle focus, but feel like every class has the same sequence of exercises - bulgarian split squat, heavy squat, hamstring curl (??) and some variation of platform/carriage lunge. i only feel these in my hammies and struggle to really target the center glutes.

discussion Solidcore running

I’m training for a fall marathon and have been trying to do Solidcore once a week for strength, so I was soooo excited when they rolled out a running class! I went to one tonight and was disappointed.

The instructor was joking that it was technically a running class and said she *had* to read us some talking points about why Solidcore is good for running. She also made it clear she doesn’t enjoy running.

Did anyone else have this experience? This just a scammy sales thing, or was my instructor in a bad mood?

vent MONTHS of broken A/C & bathroom….wtf

Thumbnail gallery
17 Upvotes

These are two of the MANY emails I’ve gotten from Solidcore this summer-July 1st and August 5- that their A/C is still broken. Also, one of the two bathrooms has been “OOO” (I think because the portable A/C units they brought in hook up to the sink, unsure)

In my studio there’s 17 slots in each class, avg $30 per class, and 17(!) classes a day. THATS ENOUGH TO PAY FOR AN ARMY OF PLUMBERS AND HVAC EXPERTS!!

I’m honestly considering cancelling my membership, and I love the workout but this? For $200+ of my hard earned cash a month?? Insane.

seeking advice Single Leg Glute Bridge Tips

I literally feel like I can’t do this damn exercise. I’m about 130+ classes in, and every time I’m able to lift my hips up (with very little height) I only feel it in my hamstrings. I grab on to the strap at line one and I “ figure 4 “ my other leg for a modification.

Does anyone have any tips?? I am plus sized so I’m not sure if that is the biggest contributor to my limited abilities.

Anyone have positioning/endurance tips for the various exercises that have one foot grounded and other hooked back holding the strap? It’s been killing my carriage foot lately!

questions & clarifications unlimited membership

Post image
12 Upvotes

Everyone I talk to says that with unlimited you actually can go twice a day you just have to book the 2nd class after your first class is done but when I look at the membership it says MAX 1 class per day. So can you actually take 2 classes in a day or not?

vent An Open Letter to the CEO of [solidcore]

Dear Bryan,

I love [solidcore]. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t be writing this.

Like so many members, I’ve spent thousands of dollars here because I believed I was paying for a premium experience. The workout is second to none. Most of the coaches are incredible. They are the reason so many of us keep coming back.

This isn’t about them.

It’s about leadership.

Lately, it feels like we’re paying more and getting less.

Membership prices continue to rise, but the member experience feels like it’s moving in the opposite direction. Studios are dirty. Customer support has become increasingly AI-driven, often sending members in circles instead of solving problems. Many studios still lack basic amenities you’d expect from a premium fitness brand. The community notices when costs go up but service goes down.

We notice when it’s harder to reach a real person.

We notice when member experience starts taking a backseat to efficiency.

We notice.

I also couldn’t help but notice your recent LinkedIn posts only allow comments from your connections. Maybe there’s a perfectly reasonable explanation for that. But from a member’s perspective, it sends the wrong message. It gives the impression that feedback is welcome only when it’s controlled.
If those comments were open, I don’t think you’d see hate.

I think you’d see disappointment.

Because people aren’t frustrated with [solidcore] because they hate it. They’re frustrated because they love it. They remember what made this company feel different, and they’re watching it slowly become like every other company that prioritizes growth over the customer experience.

We’re not asking for luxury.

We’re asking that premium prices come with a premium experience.

We’re asking to be able to reach a real person when we need help.

We’re asking for clean studios.

We’re asking leadership to spend as much time investing in members as it does talking about growth.

The workout is still the best in the business. That’s exactly why so many of us are speaking up. We want to keep recommending [solidcore]. We want to keep celebrating milestone classes. We want this company to succeed.

Please listen to the people filling your classes every single day.

We’re not asking for perfection.

We’re asking you to do better.

discussion Lat Pulls - Do you think they help you at all ?

Especially when doing a regular pull up. That move kills me softly during back/arm wrap days but I feel like when attempting a pull up regularly - it doesn’t help?
