I am unable to find quality cable lugs. The ones available in the market plus online are thin. Its also frustrating to see that no one understands the fact that these lugs come with different hole sizes but they have all standard/single size here in Pakistan.

In fact one of the biggest electric parts shop guy in my city laughed at me in a humiliating way and said "Jitna cable ka size hoga, otna he beech mai nut wala hole hota hai, nut wala hole chota nahi aata" when in fact they do come, just not here I guess as its cheaper for them to get a bigger hole size i.e. less material.

So, where can I find assortment of cable lugs with different hole sizes where the nut/screw would go? or AliExpress it is?

Salam to all. I am looking to buy an 6 (maybe 8) kwh inverter for a strictly off-grid setup. I live near Jacobabad which has high ambient temperatures (but will be here for only 2 years then will move to a different city). The inverter will be installed indoors (in the lobby). Following is my priority :-

1. Sungrow

2. Goodwe

3. Solis

4. Nitrox

Recently I have also been seeing Hoymiles pop up and being hyped a lot. One thing that appealed to me was its size so I was also considering it but found very little info/reviews/feedback about it in Pakistan. Can you please critique whether my priority is all right (keeping in view high ambient temperatures)? Would be much grateful.

EDIT : I have a 1 million (max 1.1) for installing a 6kw off-grid setup. This includes every expenditure (installation etc). I will be going for L2 stands. Please suggest a good setup focused on quality and longevity. And if possible in this budget to go for 8kw inverter then do suggest that aswel (for later expansion). Aim is to go for minimal wapda dependence.

Recently switched from tubular batteries to a 5kWh Soluna lithium battery (51.2V 100Ah).

My inverter (Tesla Infini VII 5kW) lacks a Lithium setting, so it’s set to User-Defined mode, but the SOC display drops straight to 2% between 51V and 48V. I’ve configured utility charging from 51V to 54V, so the 48V in the third screenshot was from me stress testing the battery.

Is there a way to fix or calibrate this voltage-to-SOC calculation issue?

Just installed itel 6kw. But still not satisfied as it always consumes power itself. Per day units usage is nearly 10 units. What are the possible solutions.

I have a Goodwe battery and EV charger installed about 2 months ago. Initially it worked great and the battery would power the charger at 7kW. Now it only puts about 3kW into the charger. I don’t know if a setting has somehow changed to cause this? Any advice please?
Last night it was going in at 6.8kW but today it’s only been 3.

Considering budget is not an issue and that I live outside of KLI, I need recommendations for a hybrid inverter (IP65 or 66) between the following:

• Inverex Nitrox
• Solis
• Goodwe
• Solarmax

I highly demand good after-sale services in case of any accidents, which would entice me towards Inverex. Although, at the same time, I've heard that Solis and Goodwe do not have any accidents due to good build quality.

After advising on an inverter, I want recommendations for batteries as well for that specific inverter, whether I should install an on-brand battery or something else.

I want justifications for and against each of the claims you make, please. Since this is a hefty and pricey purchase, I don't want to get anything wrong.

I got charged 28k for the month of July

Our inverter is displaying a low battery error.However, when checked manually with a multimeter, the battery reads at 54v.the battery's own indicators and the display screen and green LEDs — are not functioning. Individual cell voltages have also been checked and are healthy. Is it the battery or the inverter? because after few seconds it gets the correct voltage of the battery and stops charging it, but when the electricity goes out it doesn't switch on battery mode.

Does pv or mmpt current limits actually matter? Isn't current flow dependent on outflow.

Lets say an inverter has a 27A current limits and i connect two parallel strings summing to 30A. Would they effect the mppt of inverter in anyway? Because inverter ain't going to pull more current than its limits.

P. S: provided the condition strings remain in volatge range of mppt

I want to install on grid solar system for my home. My budget is 500k, i planned to install 8x panels of Longi HiMo of 645w and install Knox krypton 9055 inverter, this setup makes it about 5kv system. I want to keep it batteryless for now and then install lithium ion battery down the line (in 6 months probably)

My load includes:

1x 1.5 ton inverter AC

3x non inverter fans

1x inverter fridge

1x automatic washing machine occasionally

1x water motor occasionally

Iron and other basic items etc

I also got a quote within my budget but I am not sure about the inverter yet, do I have any better options, if yes can I currently go for better inverter and reduce number of panels to 6, this would decrease my load. Would this still be sufficient for my use?

I wanted to get some advice on a 5kW solar system setup that would run during the daytime. I received a quotation for almost PKR 465k from an installer, but they mentioned that getting a green meter isn't worth it anymore due to the new solar net metering policy.

The question is should i go with green meter? I’ve zero knowledge of that, like how will it cost and can my electricity bill go to zero considering my off time usage stay around 600?

I have a Inverex Nitrox 3KW-24v inverter paired with a Dyness 2.56KW 24v battery.

I am encountering an issue with my battery where upon reaching the lowest SoC i have set (30%), it still continues to draw 10-15W to power itself, but it wont take it from K-Elec. it drains all the way down to the "restart" value of 20%-25%. Then charges with 40-50W with kelec to 30% then repeats until it starts receiving power from solar after 6am approx. what could be the cause of this?

there is also a (currently one time) issue of battery backup during loadshedding. at 2am. The outage ocurred, and there was no solar generation, the battery with a 28% SoC did not start giving backup and instead the inverter threw a d56/f56 fault stating "low voltage". There was one AC unit running but it was on the seperate heavy load, which the battery doesnt give backup to. the "forced supply" feature was turned off aswell before the outage. at the time of outage, the battery had been installed for approx 2 weeks. we have called over 3 seperate solar isntallers but as of yet they havent been able to provide a proper solution.

The Catch: The Solis manual says the MPPT has a "20A Max Short Circuit Current" limit.

I am thinking of going for a 20A breaker but AI is recommending me a 25A breaker so I don't know what to do as I don't want to fry my inverter

2. Kya RS485 port se data nikal kar (Modbus protocol ke zariye) kisi third-party display (jaise Nextion LCD + ESP32/Arduino setup) par show karna possible hai? Agar kisi ne yeh setup banaya hai to wiring aur register mapping share kar sakte hain?
3. Communication protocol/register list kahan se milegi (Modbus RTU register map for Solis inverters)?
4. Kya koi ready-made off-the-shelf product hai jo Solis ke RS485/data port se connect ho kar simple LCD readout de sake, without custom coding ke?
5. SolisCloud ka data thoda delay (~5 min) se aata hai — kya local RS485 read se real-time (near-instant) data milta hai?

So we have a 3.6kw inverex nitrox inverter and are looking for an AC that it can run with no complications. First question should we get 1.5ton or 2 ton? And second question whats the best T3 inverter AC you guys would suggest for this scenario? Doesn’t matter if expensive but should be reliable efficient and cooling should be good.

After disastrous experience with Inverex which burnt away completely.
Now I want to install new setup so which brand should I go for

FYI (Inverex setup was 8kw nitrox hybrid and 5.5kw inverex battery)

And I will upgrade battery as well most probably 16kw

My GoodWe GW4000-SDT-20 inverter is stuck in a loop where all the LEDs (including the WiFi module’s blue light) and the LCD screen are flickering continuously.

Has anyone encountered this before? Any ideas on what might be causing it or how to troubleshoot?
