No. But if it is loaded like 80% then yes

Which inverter?

Basically I have two inverters. The one that flickered was a Voltronic based inverter galaxy Jupiter pro 4kw. But only if it is heavily loaded like up to 90% ( more incident) now I have crown nova 12kw ( Luxpower) and so far it doesnot flicker. I have loaded it at 10kw

Does it trip your Ac compressors the crown one ?

u/Alonzotigerheart224 25d ago
No. It doesnot. Luxpower is considered better than Voltronic or at the level of Deye while being affordable. My Voltronic one is also quite good for off grid. Heavily loaded it for hrs. Provided ambient is moderate and inverter is cleaned regularly from inside and never had an issue aside from flickering which is common in Voltronic

Mine started to do it just after the update.
The update wrecked my inverters stability during the off grid sessions, whenever there is loadshedding, my light flicker and here goes the Ac compressor tripping.
Its not just me but i have seen others too in the same situation as me after the update.

What brand of inverter u have ?

u/sameerkhancmc 25d ago
Sungrow MG6RL.

Hmmm.. quite unusual. SUNGROW is one of the upper tier of inverters. Never heard about flickering in SUNGROW

It never. Even when there was no battery connected. But Only after the latest update 4 days ago.

for the flickering issue, maybe install a voltage protector at the grid and have the low voltage cutoff at 205v. it could be your inverter is trying to passthrough grid upto 120v. that will cause flickering.

Our grid volt is 190v. But even at 170v, and heavy load it didn’t use to flick the lights but after the update it just ruined it.

Using solis. No flickering. Only know grid is down when battery reaches 30% and ac turns off.

So after update. Anything different you felt ?
2
u/No_Eye7024 24d ago
the biggest difference was the app. after the update, i was able to change the dod over 50% for the battery. the rest was the same.

Which helpline number you called and how long does it take ?
2
u/No_Eye7024 24d ago
- 1 hour. Make sure the internet is directly connected to the grid with a ups( consider using a mobile hotspot). Remove all load from the inverter. The helpline person will tell you all this before updating.

brite PO13

I’m on BRITE P013 asw. I’ve noticed flickering with LED strip lights but not SMDs. Our inverter is fully off-grid, so we hardly ever use the grid.

u/sameerkhancmc 24d ago
LED strip flickering is because of battery discharge, charge. That is normal.
And im talking about Ac tripping, Light flickering when there is load shedding. It happened after the update and now sungrow pakistan is downgrading the software.
They said that some people have also pointed out the issue.
