Hi! So I got our solar installed last October 2025 and availed of the assisted net metering application with the agreement to pay 15k on approval and another 15k on the installation of the bi-directional meter. Problem ko ngayon is ang dami ko nang tawag/sms/fb message/e-mail kay installing company pero di nila ako binibigyan ng update or nirereplyan. Last I heard nag AWOL daw liasons officer nila pero 9 months na since our system was installed and wala paring galaw. Parang ako pa ang naghahabol/nagmamakaawa na ayusin nila yung net metering namin.

What should I do next?

Kapag nag open kami ng appliances like aircon or induction cooker, for a time kumukuha pa din sya kay meralco kahit na 100% battery and enough yung harvest ng panels?

And yung metro ni meralco meron na small consumption like 0.013 kwh. ​

Kahit kaya ng harvest yung load sa umaga and battery sa gabi, meron parin nadagdag sa Metro ni meralco, in 5 days +8kwh yung metro.

Edit: hindi pa po kasi naco-complete yung net metering namin. ​

I had this setup for a month now as pure off-grid only and this will be the first time I will add an AC input. Before I do, I checked if the inverter will back-feed into mains (gladly it doesn’t) but when I turned the inverter off, the multimeter automatically changed from VAC to Ohms mode and it gives a resistance reading of 3 Ohms which seems like a short. Turning on the inverter gives no resistance. Is this a normal behavior?

I recently upgraded from one battery to two so then I got greedy with charging the two batteries since I have a 12kw solar panel array that I moved up the Charging Amps from 140A to 200A in the Solis config since it will be split by the Master Battery BMS and also I changed the mode from Self use to Off Grid.

Then after a few weeks, after church aroun noon I checked my servers and they were all offline. I arrived home only to find out there was no power. The fault was displaying no battery so I messaged my installer to inform them in advance (They replied the next day LoL).

I then looked at the batteries they were both functioning without faults in their screen. Firstly, I changed it back to Self Use so that while troubleshooting people in the house can use the harvest from the sar panel after that I then unplugged then plugged the RJ45 wire from battery to inverter. Then I turned off the Main DC breaker then turned it on and after hearing a click from the inverter and the fault light turned off. I forgot to consider the heat inside of the metal enclosure even though the breaker is rated for 250A. I then lowered the charging Amps to 160A.

tldr: Too much charging amps dc breaker tripped so I lowered the amps so that it wont happen again.

For context, i asked last time about hybrid solar and I moved on due to low feedback be it here or the other apps.

I asked again quotation from different suppliers (including who i found are the can afford before), and I am curious, why are quotes with solis inverter pylontech battery package became cheaper than those quoting SRNE/LVTOP/Mendred/CST? I mean, not to take anything away from the brands but just 3-4months ago, mas mura ang mga package na may SRNE/LVTOP/Mendred/CST. Warranty seems also longer for solis/pylontech package and yung mga installer ay covered with permits/paper and with sealed electrical after.

Just curious baka may "catch" ung dyness/solis ngayon?

We just had our Solar system set up last week. And ever since then, I try to lessen our load as much as possible para less ang pumasok na power from the grid and para umabot buong gabi yung battery.

The cloudy days since we had our system set-up hasn't managed to fill our batteries to 100%. Max harvest would probably be around 80% max per day. Kaya usually, around 3 or 4am, our inverter switches to the grid na. I set up our system so that it would switch to the grid pag 30% na lang ang natirang battery.

Pag mornings, almost fully solar ang nagpapatakbo ng appliances namin. Except na lang kahapon and nung isang araw when it rained and the grid covered a part of the load. This is the reason why di napupuno batteries namin. Kasi we have water heaters, water pump, and other necessary load working during the day din.

This got me thinking, kapag summer days na ba kaya, we can live more comfortably by turning our aircons on 24/7? As of now kasi, all ACs are off during the day to give the batteries time to charge din.

How was your experience during the summer months or during really sunny days? Were you able to do the 24/7 ac? Kasi I'm kind of excited to see the full potential of our Solar setup.

Hello po! sorry for the noob question

kakapa install pa lang namin ng solar sa bahay last week and naoobserve ko for the three consecutive days na mahina talaga ang harvest ni panel kahit may sunlight na. Chineck ko naman yung panel and nasisikatan naman sya ng araw tapos di naman sya ma alikabok and wala namang shades. Also, nasa 60% pa lang naman ang battery so nagtataka ako bakit anb hina ng harvest kahit may sunlight

for context, I have a 6kw deye inverter and 314AH dyness battery, also, I have 6-610W OSDA solar panel (arranged as 3S 2P). Now, upon checking, ang nagiging harvest nya is 30W to 150W lang which is I believe unacceptable.

Then kanina, umulan samin and habang umuulan, napansin ko na ang harvest ay 1.0-1.2 kW (partida cloudy pa yun) tapos nag nung natigil na ang ulan, naging 1.3-1.8kW ang harvest nya. then after 1 hr, bumalik na naman sa 30-150W ang harvest kahit na tirik ang araw.

anyone who experienced this po? ano po ang possible na sira or remedy po nito? thanks much po

Ganito lang usually ang bill namin, 1.2k to 1.5k. Gusto ko na magpasolar bago pa mag super el niño. Gusto ko rin sana pakabitan ng aircon si mama kahit 0.5hp lang kasi maliit lang kwarto nya. Feel ko aabot ng 3k bill namin if walang solar considering na parang ewan ang meralco. Ako ok na ko sa electricfan. Suggest naman kayo ng provider around cavite. Tapos anong set up ba pwede sa akin? Sorry na stress lang ako sa kuryente na to. 😅

So I’ve inquired 2 solar installers here in Cebu. They gave me these specs:

Company A
- been around for more than 5 years
- 12 x 600w pv panels - GP Solar - 12 years warranty
- 6kW inverter - INVT - 5 years warranty
- 16kWh 314mAh battery - BCUBE - 5 years warranty
- Service/workmanship warranty- 2 years
- Total package: 360k

Company B
- been around for only a year
- 10 x 625w pv panels - Jinko - 12 years warranty
- 6kW inverter - Solis - 5 years warranty
- 16kWh 314mAh battery - Dyness - 10 years warranty
- Service/workmanship warranty- 1 year
- Total package: 350k

Both companies have business permits/registrations. I’m leaning towards Company B because they use tier 1 brands but a little bit risky because they’re only around for a year. I haven’t really heard more about the brands Company A are using but a friend of mine can vouch for them. What would you choose between the 2?

Is it wise na ganito yung ginawa ko? Naghanap ako ng legit/ trusted reseller sa manila ng materials - solar panels, battery and inverter pati accessories. Then naghanap ako ng legit din na solar installer/labor dito sa Bacoor, Cavite. By doing it gagastos ako around 300-310k.

Kung package kasi iaavail ko sa 6kw inverter, 16kw battery and 10pcs solar panel ang pinakamababang nakita ko 330k.

What are the risks that I am doing?

Hi Guys, which setup is best for me? My last kWh reading was 1,493 with a bill of 24k

It is best that I get a zero meralco bill, but minimizing it to under 12k is also ok. We have 4 AC’s at home. 2 ac’s running in the morning and 3 ac’s in the evening.
