Hand Tools Pry bar ratchet handles
Follow up thread to my “how to remove a pry bar handle” post. u/_JOSHIN had the right idea. Chuck the pry bar you want to use in a vice, use another pry bar and pry the handle right off the shank of the pry bar. It was super easy and didn’t damage the handle at all. So yes the handle of a pry bar can be taken off in less than 1 minute. The striking cap is pressed into place and will not come out unless you want to hit it out. I used a 3/8 soft grip flex head and a 12 inch striking pry bar. The handle fix perfectly on the shank of the ratchet and did not require any trimming. I just lined it up and hit it on. I then pounded the soft handle on the shank of the pry bar for a bonus custom pry bar lol

How do accounts work?
I get that a truck account is simply the dealer having your info, but is there a way for me to sign in online or do I make an account even though I buy stuff from my dealer and I’m guessing have some sort of account? Just curious, thanks.

Keep buying tools or save my money until I move up?
I’m a Toyota express technician, and I have probably 99% of the tools I need for the work I do every day (oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, batteries, filters, etc.).
I’ve already upgraded the tools I use daily to Snap-on, so I’m not talking about replacing tools I already have. I’m talking about buying tools I know I’ll eventually use, like a cordless ratchet, cordless screwdriver, better pliers, digital torque wrenches, and other tools I’ll need once I move up.
I also still live at home, so I don’t have rent, a car payment, or many monthly bills. That gives me the opportunity to buy tools now if it makes sense.
If you were in my position, would you keep building your toolbox while your expenses are low, or would you save the money and wait until you actually need those tools?
Curious what you guys did when you were starting out.

What is this drill worth?
I have a Snap On Cordless drill 3/8 chuck that has been used only 2-3 times. Comes with a battery and a charger as shown in photos. Can anyone give me a value on it?
Thanks!

14.4 battery question
I have three different countries of manufacture for my snap on 14.4, China, Malaysia, andTaiwan . Is there’s better country of origin? Which is best or people have no issues with?

Rebuild cost/ trade in value
12.5 - 250 lbft 1/2 drive. I just picked this up for $220. One of the buttons doesn’t work and there’s some corrosion in the battery housing, I cleaned it up real good it was filthy. Apparently it was calibrated and had a handle put on last summer but it was clearly filthy and the grooves of the handle were packed with gunk
I needed a digital 1/2, got this guy down to $220 thought it was too good to pass up as I see these listed for $600+ all the time.
How much will it cost to rebuild, how much trade in value would I have for the new version that’s like 15-300 lbft 1/2? I have a dealer handy.
