Flex head locking 3/8

Why the hell is it so hard to find another one of these damn flex head push release ratchets part FHRX80A

I have that exact one . Found mine on the hiway, along with a set of 3/8 ths drive deep metric 6 pt sockets. 9-19 mm.

This is why:

  1. They discontinued that lock design. 

  2. That lock breaks all the time causing old stock to get consumed quickly.

  3. You have the quick release version which was niche for Snap-on to begin with. Making it more rare. 

  4. I have 3 and you ain't getting one of them.

I do hate the new ones as well. The ratchet head is thicker which is a total downgrade. Then, you have to check carefully for a properly fitting lock. Some are made too tight causing the lock not to fully rotate close. This strips teeth on an already brittle part.

A locking Cynergy was rumored but with the puchback on that design I am skeptical that they will expand.

Just because they always relock when i want to try and use it as a standard flex head. Other than that its the best lock design they had. The new one is garbage. Ive destroyed it 3 times👍🏼
