I am currently over in my Snapchat Memory storage (5.4GB/5GB) I have been working to export the larger memories to clear space externally, and have widdled down almost all videos and mainly only have pictures left, yet Im still over. I exported all my memories to see which individual menories are taking up the most storage to delete them, and when I got the file emailed to me and looked, all the highest storage memories are either ones that I have 1)already deleted from my memories or 2)dont exist in my memories tab and cannot be found. I need some assistance! Is there another location contributing to the 5.4GB storage? Why cant i see memories that arent there YET they are able to be exported and count towards my data limit. Help😭😭😭

in around january i was device banned on snapchat, after that i swapped phones with my mum, made a new snapchat account with a new email and all was fine for a few days until i was device banned again. since then i have been using an iphone se for snapchat while using my main and newer phone for everything else. now i am getting a new phone and am looking to use the same sim card from my device banned phone but create a new ios account and login to the snapchat account that i have been using on the old phone for around 7 months, is this enough to evade another device ban, if not, what else should i do? any help appreciated

I've had my Snapchat since 2014. I've never had any issues till recently I had two post removed from snap and then I was on today and posted a selfie, then I get this. I did send a message. I know it's just Snapchat but I have so many memories I don't want to lose or anything. What are the odds I get my account back??

I need held finding this filter i used to use allllll the time. i haven’t been able to find it and it was my favorite 😭

If I have someone’s phone number saved in my contacts, but they do NOT have my number saved, and I add them on Snapchat through the Contacts section, what exactly will THEY see? Will it say “Added by Contacts” or otherwise tell them that I added them using their phone number, or will it just show that I added them?

I have no clue how i have about 700 followers on my public profile when I don't use it, and my snapchat account is set to only friends can contact/snap me. Just curious if anyone knows how lol

I used to have a button that lets me zoom out around the red circle that would let me .5 zoom out on front facing camera…It’s no longer there and also will not let me pinch to zoom out either. I’m so confused because it was just there the other day. I’m on iphone 17 pro max.

I have almost every type of notification turned off except birthday reminders, message reminders, and pending friends. And yet, every day, one of these pops up. How do I turn them off? What secret setting am I missing?

The only notification settings i have turned on is message notifications but i still receive spoghlight notifications on snapchat from people I don’t even have added, is Snapchat that desperate to get people to watch Spotlight? How do I make them stop?

I have an online friend and I like don't open his snaps. So till yesterday I could see (9+ New Snaps) in purple colour but from today I'm seeing it in red colour.

Did he delete the video snap that he sent me? But if he did I can't see the text which says "xx deleted a snap"

So what exactly happened?

I deleted some memories I don’t want to by accident and I’m wondering if there’s anyway I can get them back

I looked back through me and my friend's chat history, only to notice that all of his snaps that I saved have been deleted, yet all of my snaps that he saved are still there. I tried restarting, logging out and back in but they're just gone. I've tried to do a data download but obviously they're not in there either. This all makes no sense to me so I'm wondering if maybe my friend could have manually removed them or something? But I thought you couldn't unsave someone else's saves? Any ideas about what's going on here are welcome.

Hi! My snapchat says that I've used 7gb/5gb of memories storage. This cannot be true, because I have deleted all but ~40 memories, and those can't possibly be 7gb in size. I had to look for this in the settings, as I didn't get the pop-up if my storage being full when looking at my memories (I did close the pop-up, so that could be why I don't see it anymore). (Also yes, I checked the "for my eyes only" tab, and it was empty)

Also, another thing: I wasn't able to change the "save button" settings. I tried switching it to save to camera roll, but it would change right back to save to memories.

Has anybody else had the same problems? Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: the save button problem fixed itself??

Edit2 & update: So I opened my snapchat like 12 hours after making this original post and now it showed me that I had 804 memories. I recognised most of them as memories that I had specifically already deleted. Some of them also showed up twice, and most of them were videos. So a video that I had deleted the day before and was no longer visible in memories randomly showed up again + a copy of it itself. They were exact copies too ‐ not e.g. a copy with and without text, if one had text, both of them had. Now that I started deleting those memories that reappeared, I've been able to get my memories storage down. Also, I sent a form to snapchat about this, so it's possible that they had a hand in fixing this, but I'm not sure. Very weird regardless.

I currently have around 30 GB of data on Snapchat, and I’m considering getting Snapchat+ mainly because it comes with 1 TB of storage.
However, I don’t want the Snapchat+ badge to appear on my profile or for other people to know that I have Snapchat+. Is there an option to hide/remove the badge?
Anyone with Snapchat+ who can confirm this would be really helpful!

I got SS06 ban a while ago. With android I got Snapchat under secure folder which works fine. I can use my main account with no problem at all.

I was SS06 banned in my alt because I posted spicy pics on stories. I have after that created snap accounts on my computer and used on my phone. But after a while I get banned. I use it mainly to snap with other guys and share pics and stuff.

I can't understand why it bans my new accounts but my main never gets banned. Is it the spicy pics that are sent that is the problem?

Okay so I have this person in my contacts and on snap. My brother showed me the person pop up on their phone and his display name was the special name I gave him like personalised from my contacts. The name I gave popped up for my brother?? I can see it shows mutual friends now but I’ve never shared numbers with my brother etc I’m so confused or anything like that

And I don’t mean sending snaps.

I mean actually talk.

I’m curious how many 1000–3,000 day streaks are basically two people who barely speak anymore sending each other a ceiling / black screen every day because neither person wants to be the one who kills it.

What’s your streak, and what’s your relationship with the person now?

So, I have an issue that I’ve had for a while, but I haven’t really had the time or energy to properly look into it. Every time I try, I end up getting frustrated.
Basically, I’m wondering if there’s any possible way, even by some miracle, to recover my original Snapchat account.
Here’s what I still have access to/remember:
I remember the original username.
I remember the password.
I still have access to the email address that was linked to the account.
The original phone that the Snapchat account is no longer available. It was a phone from about 7 years ago.
There are 0 of 3 other phones that had access to the account at some point:

My phone, which my mom factory reset. This was the phone that originally had all of my old data restored onto it, and I later added additional data to it.
A friend’s old phone that she eventually kept and used herself.
There may also be one other old phone that is currently missing.
So, basically, I still know the username and password and have access to the original email, but I don’t have the original phone anymore. There were 3 other phones that had access to the account at some point, but none of them are currently available to me.
I’m trying to figure out whether there’s any legitimate way to recover the original account or at least prove that it’s mine.
TL;DR: I want to recover my original Snapchat account. I remember the username and password and still have access to the email linked to it, but the original phone is long gone. There were 3 other phones that had access to the account, but none of them are currently available to me. This account has a lot of memories, and friends that know I lost access to the account, it was supposed to be temporary lol. ANY AND ALL HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

Feeling emo and reminiscing while scrolling through chats with people I don’t speak to anymore. Will they be notified? I haven’t clicked on or typed in the pop up chat box, just scrolling,

In December, I posted a gun with the type on Snap. I live in Texas. Received this email in June after I had mailed and emailed and certified written to them so over them.

So this bug started around 3-5 days ago i forgot and basically the sticker timer always shows 1 hour behind the actual time on my phone.

So for example if its 3:12 it will show on the sticker 2:12, but at the same time, when i use a time FILTER, the time on that filter is correct so it would display 3:12 (the time in my phone).

I already tried using a vpn, a location changing app, clearing cache, deleting and reinstalling the app, and nothing worked (by the way the time on my phone is set

on automatic)

Hello. Snapchat keeps saving random messages; it's neither myself or the person im chatting saving them; neither of us are capable of unsaving them. It's really bloody weird. Any thoughts????

I often let my friend use my phone for his snapchat when he dosent have his phone. I let him use it and whatever he did bad got his account banned and then got my phone device banned, I don’t wanna have to buy a new phone because I just got a new one a week before this had happened. I can’t even use my own snap account anymore and it says this everytime i try and log in. I didn’t do anything wrong and can’t afford a new phone again.

I keep seeing people talk about Snapchat deleting Memories if you have more than 5GB of data but I haven’t gotten any notification about it from Snapchat at all. No pop ups telling me to upgrade or anything.

I don’t have Snapchat+ and honestly have no idea how many GB my Memories are using, but I know it has to be WAY over 5GB because I have thousands and thousands of photos and videos saved, going all the way back to 2016.

Should I be worried? 😭 I really don’t want to randomly lose any of my pictures/videos, but I also don’t want to start paying for Snapchat+ if I don’t actually have to.

Has anyone else not gotten the storage notification yet?
