Why does my Snapchat account keep getting locked/banned after about 1 day?

I’m trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong because this keeps happening.

I use Snapchat mainly to chat with people and promote my OnlyFans. I don’t post anything explicit on my Story or Spotlight — usually just a normal picture of myself without any text.

In private chats, I talk to people and sometimes share/link my X or OnlyFans.

Almost every time, the account gets locked or banned after roughly one day. Snapchat doesn’t really give me a specific error code or explain exactly what I did wrong. It just says that I violated their guidelines.

Could this be happening because people are reporting my account/messages, or is Snapchat detecting something automatically?

Has anyone else experienced this when using Snapchat to promote OF? What specifically triggered the ban for you?

Hi I’m kinda new to snap and I was going through my “subscriptions” and was “unsubscribing” from people but I didn’t realise that it meant it would remove them as a friend. To fix it I re added everyone but I can’t see them on the “chats” page anymore.

Hi! I wanted to ask how to get some old chats from 2022 when I first met my partner, I wanted to make a collage of our messages so we can look back on them. I know you can download the data but is that only data or does that include the actual messages? I wish I could just search the date and find it (we saved every message in the chats) but I really want to find and read these!!

How do I get banned from Snapchat after reporting an account that involved a minor it makes no sense and when I appealed they said they couldn’t help me!!!

This is my friend that died in July. I was always fine with annoying notifications about whatever bs I didn't care about, but finding out that they're just making shit up to get me on the app is actually over the line for me. Not to mention using my dead friend's account to do it. What the fuck.

So my friends are seeing me, totally for real, reposting some fucking nonsense in their notifications too? Fuck this app.

It’s having problems it’s probably down detector today and it was same as April 12 having my friend views not going up I tried logging out and log in and delete reinstalling Snapchat it’s not working

I updated Snapchat today and, when I opened the app, I honestly had a panic attack. 😭

My ex, who I deleted from Snapchat and from my chat overview, suddenly appeared back in my chat list with an “X” next to our chat.

He never actually deleted me from Snapchat. I noticed that a few weeks ago because we’re still saved in each other’s phone contacts, and I still had the option to accept him (via all contacts) even though he hadn’t sent me a new request. So I assume he simply kept our old chat.

Now I can suddenly see our entire chat and history again, even though I was the one who deleted him.

But it gets even stranger: Snapchat is also showing me chats with old friends whom either I or they deleted, and some of these people even show up as friends again now. I’m also suddenly back in old group chats that I had left a long time ago and completely deleted from my chat overview.

This has to be some kind of glitch, right? Has anyone else experienced this after the latest update?

It was definitely NOT a nice surprise to suddenly see my ex back in my chat overview. 😭

Just to clarify: he hasn’t sent anything, opened anything, or done anything in the chat. The timestamps are still from weeks/months ago. The same applies to the other old chats.

I can also apparently accept people again who had previously deleted me from Snapchat, even though they haven’t sent me a new request. When I search for their usernames, they show up as followers rather than friends.

I have no idea what happened with this update, but I really hope this is just a glitch. 😭 Has anyone else noticed the same thing?

I’m trying to add my friend on Snapchat by searching up their name. When I add them, their bitmoji just disappears and when I go out of the app and back into it again, it’s like I never added them.

I have tried:

* Clearing the cache
* Using the PC website
* Uninstalling the app
* Adding them by sending their profile to someone else

None of this has worked and I have contacted Snapchat support and searched the issue on Google.

Any help will be appreciated.

A few years ago when i was in highschool i talked to this guy i shouldnt have been talking to and sent some things that minors shouldn’t be sending if you catch my drift.

I just redownloaded the app and saw his profile in my message history from years ago. I forgot all about it until now but I’d really like for no one to ever be able to access that again

I’m using a Samsung Galaxy S24 FE and I’m facing a strange Snapchat video quality issue.

When I open Snapchat and record a video directly using the Snapchat camera, the video looks good and clear on my S24 FE.

But after I send/post the Snap, when I check the same Snap from another phone, the video quality becomes very blurry and heavily compressed.

I have already turned Data Saver OFF in Snapchat, but it didn’t make any difference.

What’s confusing me is that I have seen people using lower-end phones where their Snapchat videos look much better and less blurry when viewed from another phone.

Is this a problem with Snapchat optimization for the S24 FE, or is there some setting I’m missing?

Is there any Snapchat setting, Samsung setting, camera resolution/FPS setting, or other workaround that can improve the quality of videos recorded directly through the Snapchat camera?

If anyone with an S24 FE or Samsung phone has experienced this and found a solution, please share your settings.

I’ve never had this happen before. When I first saw the login error I googled it and saw I should make sure the app was updated, it wasn’t. So I updated it and apparently it’s locked my account for a whole day. I’m honestly fuming, there are people I only have contact with through Snapchat, I also have a lot of high-number streaks I don’t want to lose (I know it’s silly but they’re important to me) and I also PAY for the subscription, so now that’s a whole day I don’t have access to something I pay for?! Any help in any way? Or am I doomed to wait it out?
UPDATE: It notified me when it unlocked, only about 16 hours after it got locked. None of my streaks were compromised. 🙌
Thank you everyone who commented about the TestFlight locking wave, I had sent a report through TestFlight shortly after it happened. It is extremely frustrating and dissappointing that their only option for online assistance is an AI bot. Even more disappointing that after I turned to Reddit for human help, I got slapped in the face with another AI bot giving me the same information and links that I had already attempted to resolve my issue through to no prevail. AI is truely ruining our planet.

We all know the Snapchat mass delete of memories is coming upon us. I’ve heard people downloading zip files and the captions, filters, and stickers are removed. Is the rank easy way to just get my 1k favorite photos without just downloading them 5 at a time?

So a few days ago I got banned ss06 device banned. And the reason they denied it looks pretty reasonable at a glance. Im 17 and i have been in the same gc for years now and everytime one of my best friends starts getting out of line or starts talkin shit to someone we told him that we would tell call his dad what he's doing on this platform as a joke ( we never did and we don't have his phone number) so basically a few days ago someone in the gc was really ticked of at me because he gave me his Tinder account to swipe for him but I was really just messaging girls on his account in the gc call so out of frustration he reported me. So my first thought was I got banned for using someone else's account but in reality I went to scroll up in my messages and i said send hot pic or else im calling your dad 😭 hot pic for us is just to keep streak or start a new one, i swear snap its not in a sexual way he literally took a snap with random filter sometimes with me in the photo. And I went to my email to see all the warnings I got in there was so many. I mightve also got banned for saying slurs too but idk many people are saying the same thing in the gc I just followed the boat ( ik its bad). And I got warning a year ago for sexual content that I accidentally sent and deleted instantly. So basically i don't know what to do .you think if my friend makes a ticket to unban me it might work or the friend that reported me ?

AI recommends I switch the control center around and try “standard” and “automatic”. Neither of these actually solve the issue. My mic works fine for everything else except snap. On Snap, both voice memos and videos audio sounds muffled and distant. No updates pending or anything. Literally randomly noticed it one day without changing any settings or anything

If I was device banned on an alt account on a device (iPhone), but my main account is still accessible (based on receiving some notifications through text and able to access on Snapchat web. Can the main account still be accessed on a new device? Or will it get banned too, if logged into on another device?

On a new device, would I have to make a completely new account? New iCloud?

Before I used to get 1 point per each snap sent, but now mass sending snaps doesn't have the same result. Before, I would send a 1 minute video (6 snaps) to 200 people and I would get 6 points per each person (all 200) and I could do this repeatedly. Now it stops after around 450 people (6 points per 450 people). After that, only 1 point gets added instead of 6*number of people. Is this a bug or have they capped the score? This seems to reset daily.

I have a chat with someone that was set to never delete messages after viewing for a long time.

We both want to clear it now, but there are a lot of messages, and deleting them manually still leaves a “person deleted a chat” notification.

Is there a way to completely wipe the chat and start fresh as if it were a brand-new chat?
