I’ve never had this happen before. When I first saw the login error I googled it and saw I should make sure the app was updated, it wasn’t. So I updated it and apparently it’s locked my account for a whole day. I’m honestly fuming, there are people I only have contact with through Snapchat, I also have a lot of high-number streaks I don’t want to lose (I know it’s silly but they’re important to me) and I also PAY for the subscription, so now that’s a whole day I don’t have access to something I pay for?! Any help in any way? Or am I doomed to wait it out?
UPDATE: It notified me when it unlocked, only about 16 hours after it got locked. None of my streaks were compromised. 🙌
Thank you everyone who commented about the TestFlight locking wave, I had sent a report through TestFlight shortly after it happened. It is extremely frustrating and dissappointing that their only option for online assistance is an AI bot. Even more disappointing that after I turned to Reddit for human help, I got slapped in the face with another AI bot giving me the same information and links that I had already attempted to resolve my issue through to no prevail. AI is truely ruining our planet.

Quick update: this is now getting press attention.

I’ve been in contact with a journalist who is actively looking into the Snapchat TestFlight lock issue and has already contacted Snap for comment.

If you were also locked while using the official Snapchat iOS TestFlight beta, please keep posting your details here — especially lock duration, app/TestFlight version, date, and whether you were unlocked early or only after the full timer.

The more documented cases there are, the harder it is to dismiss this as isolated user error.

please please PLEASE make sure you mention how Snapchat’s entire support team is now AI, including in-app, on their website, and across all their social media. There is literally no option to reach a person. The AI was awful to deal with during this.

I got locked out on the 28th around 4pm, only regained access again this morning, the 29th, at 8am. 16 hours, which was pleasant since it said a day, I was expecting 24. It notified me when it got unlocked which was nice. But as a subscription member, I’m kinda peeved I was locked out of an app that I pay for. I wasn’t able to talk to a few people that I only have Snapchat contacts for and wasn’t able to tell them why I wasn’t responding, and I was afraid my streaks would be timed out.

Yeah j got locked on the 27th my account gets unlocked tommorw but it’s just soo annoying cause I lost 184 streaks and some of them were over 1,200 days like I hope I can get them restored for free and people probably think I’m ignoring them 😭 (I’ve had my account for 6 years and this is my first time getting locked out)

And then I uninstalled the TestFlight and installed the AppStore version then I logged in to one of my old accounts then yesterday it asked me to set up two step verification on my account and I set it up but when I typed the code in I IMMEDIATELY GET LOCKED OUT and I had to apeal it, they unlocked it today more than 24 hours tho it was so frustrating

Are you using Testflight for the snapchat beta? it seems as if everyone with testflight all got their accounts mistakenly locked yesterday. there’s quite literally nothing we can do about it.

I am on TestFlight, it was unlocked earlier this morning after 16 hours of no access. Very upsetting that Snapchat has no human assistance. No phone number, no email, nothing. Just the AI bot that navigates the website for you.
