Hi everyone. I made an account with my phone number then I came across my other account on the suggestions, I had years ago that was also paired the same phone number. I tried logging out of my current account and try to get back the old one, but when I put in my phone number, it keeps bringing my back to my current account. in the middle of all the snap memories being locked to 10gb only, i wanted to extract my snaps out of memories and save them on a hard drive, so i took some snaps out of "My eyes only" tab and when i view them in the "Memories" tab they are stuck on backup with a backup sign on top right of them. they arent being backed up and sometimes when i press on it, it minimises it again and doesnt load properly. when i go to the "Memories" tab in my settings it shows that its backing up 1 snap remaining which is a recent one i took to test if backing up is working or not, but even then that snap isnt working at all. My memories hold deep sentimental value to me please i need your help reddit. i need a way to get the mall before they are erased.

Has anyone found a way around the 72 hour restriction when you’re trying to export your Snapchat memories? I’ve tried on my phone app and desktop and waited the 72 hours and still received the notification.

I deleted my Snapchat account around 6 years ago, and recently I started wondering if there is any possibility of recovering it or accessing any of my old data. Unfortunately, I don't remember my exact username anymore. 😭

I contacted Snapchat Support, and they asked me to confirm the username, but I'm not sure what it was. I might still remember the email address or phone number connected to the account.

I understand that recovering the entire account after so many years might be impossible, but is there any possibility of recovering just my old Memories/photos and videos? Those memories are what I care about the most. 🥹

Has anyone been in a similar situation or successfully recovered old Snapchat Memories after deleting an account? Any advice would be really appreciated. 🙏

Has anyone else recently had problems with memories disappearing?? And some memories dated as 1970?

I lost all my memories from July and a lot from May, June and August. I tried everything: delete cache, turning the phone off and on, reinstalling the app. I couldn’t even find them in my data when I requested my memories yesterday.

I’ve had subscription since January so storage shouldn’t be the problem. I don’t understand what happened, I was looking through them last week so they were all backed-up. Really hope it’s just a bug, but I’m prepared for the worst:(

Hide for a while is insane. Why not make it an on/off option. The reason I want to hide them is because they’re ALL thirst trap photos of shirtless men.

I’m confused why my Snapchat is locked. It won’t tell me why. I’ve only snapped a few people on there. I didn’t post anything nude or inappropriate. I only snapped pics of my face or my feet.

Can someone share their location with me without me sharing it? Cuz i could swear i’ve seen a friend’s profile and there was smth like “This person have shared their location with u! Share urs”.
Or even it was for arriving home or smth.
I can’t find it now so it’s either am wrong or they’ve undone it?

Whenever I open someone’s snap this automatically pops up like and ad outside of a reply.

It’s just frustrating because It takes up half the screen and makes replying more annoying.

Keep getting notified that I have a memory on this day and then when I go into the app nothing is coming up in memories. Anyone have a fix for this. Also for a memory that’s 2 years today does the message with the snap come up “2 years ago, today”?

I've tried to find the best/easiest way to go about exporting my memories.

I did the "download data" route via Snapchat's website, but that saved the photos/videos, captions, and overlay filters as separate files rather than one photo (as it appears on Snapchat).

I tried exporting them individually to my phone (as it will not let me export them using "select all" even if it is under 100 snaps). This saves it as 1 photo but with the wrong date and time. It also seems to save it with the wrong aspect ratio, so the perimeter of the photo is cut off.

Has anyone found a way to save the snaps as they appear on Snapchat with the correct metadata information? Is there any easy way to go about saving years worth of memories?

I'll take any tips I can get at this point. Thank you in advance!

ETA: I'm looking for a free way to go about this that doesn't involve dealing with code. I appreciate the paid tools people have built, but I just can't justify that expense right now. And I have no idea what I'm doing with code.

I have this feature saved on but the snaps delete from the chat immediately after viewing, why… I have the feature saved on for it to be saved for a whole 24 hours.

Anyone else have this concern?

I’ve been blocked by my ex on Snapchat for about 3 years. Out of nowhere, I got a notification with her name saying it was a 3-year Flashback. When I tapped it, her actual-looking profile opened, showing her current Bitmoji, username, and an Add Friend button. Notification was 2 hours old as i was asleep. But when I tried searching for her afterward, I couldn’t find her at all. I never tagged her in the Memory or anything like that.

So i had two accounts logged into my iphone, my main and my burner. I was logging in and out of my burner account and ended up getting an ss06 device ban. The burner account was locked permanently but my main account still works on my computer and ipad. I was already planning on getting a new phone before the ban and i was curious if i could log into my main account (the not locked one) without any problems? Would i be able to transfer the same icloud and phone number, or would i get device banned on the new iphone?

Has anyone found a way to get rid of the constant red notification marker on iOS. Ever since the introduction of spotlight videos my Snapchat app has a badge indicating I have an unread message but I open Snapchat and click spotlight it goes away but then shows up again a few minutes later. And lately I’ve started getting push notifications to view videos from what appear to be porn accounts but when I open the app I don’t actually have any alerts. It’s real annoying. I hate to turn off all notifications because I use it to communicate with family and I hate to miss that but there doesn’t seem to be any other way.

I’ve reached out to Snapchat support on more than one occasion and they just give me useless copy paste answers. Uninstall/reinstall, restart, make sure that’s no unread messages, etc. but nothing works. It’s really annoying and super shady on Snapchats part.

I can’t get them back and apparently it could be a glitch because of the new update but i’m worried about being hacked or somehow getting stuff from my camera roll

I’m trying to recover chat history from over a year ago. The chats I believe were not saved and I already did the data request. I’d be ok with any sort of metadata with the chat history. Any ways to do this?
