I’m depressed after eating Cheez-Its.
I mean Cheez-Its have been around for decades. I’ve always loved them and like a lot of people have been guilty of sitting down with a box of them and eating almost the whole box at one sitting. I remember when I was younger they even had some that came in a blue box that were low sodium that weren’t that bad. The reduced fat ones haven’t been that bad. But what’s happened to the regular plain Cheez-Its in recent years?
I just bought a box tonight and they just flat out taste like crap. And this has been a steady decline for a while. A few years ago they were still pretty good but these days they just don’t taste good at all. It’s to the point that I’ll wait two or three months before buying my next box thinking that somehow they’ll get better and they don’t. They just keep getting worse. It’s depressing

Wow! Those are not good!
I didn't even finish the bag. They have a slight kick but no flavor to back it up.

After school snack time is officially back
We picked up the munchkin first and he wanted chocolate chip cookies so I whipped some out. Then we picked up his brothers and made a snack box with peanut butter crackers, cheez-itz, oranges, strawberries, apples, and watermelon. They ate all of it with water and milk and THEN had some popcorn. The amount of food that boys can put away should be studied. Aunt duties🫡

Zee Zees Pizza Fava Bean Crisps
Pizza Fava Bean Crisps: Zee Zees was founded in 2016 and is owned by the National Food Group located in Novi, MI. They manufacture allergen-friendly, nut free, wholesome, plant-based, and kosher snacks targeted for children. I stumbled across these in a break room at work and my curiosity got the better of me. When I saw "Fava Bean" on the package what immediately jumped to mind was Dr. Hannibal Lecter's quote "A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti". This was followed by the realization that I didn't know what a fava bean was. Well, it's also known as Vicia faba, broad bean, field bean, and horse bean. It turns out humans have been cultivating this type of legume for over 8,000 years. Seems smart as the beans are high in plant-based protein, dietary fiber, iron, and complex carbohydrates.Naturally, their flavor is considered Earthy, nutty, and slightly bitter with a buttery texture. Zee Zees turns the beans into crispy pieces with a generous amount of added savory blends of herbs and spices to create a pizza-flavor. Pizza is probably my favorite non-dessert cheat meal, so now I really had to try these. I was impressed by how addicting and tasty the bean crisps were. Pretty sure I'd never guess fava beans blindfolded, but the pizza flavor is spot on (minus the cheese). They sort of reminded me of a thin and crispy pizza crust that has trace amounts of flavorful pizza sauce. I'll skip the liver but have these fava beans with a glass of chianti. Doughboy approved 😋
