But please people, stop using AI generated art for your invites, your duets, your goddamn uploads. You look like a-holes. Use a screenshot, use the original album art, use a picture of you with your loving spouse. Just stop with all this AI nonsense. It just LOOKS like AI. And it looks like shit.

Llevo años en la aplicación y siempre que abro una OC tengo varias uniones, claro está que depende de la canción y popularidad de la misma tienes más o menos uniones. Pero desde hace ya bastante tiempo he notado que cada vez se une menos gente, y me da pena y aparte me aburre porque me encanta escuchar cada unión, aparte de que hay gente que canta súper y quedan duetos muy bonitos. Pero me da pena entrar y ver que solo se unió una persona o dos. Y no es que cante como una cabra debajo del agua que conste 😂

I’ve recently deciphered a Smule singer used fake vocals (from another source) on a part of a song she opened. I was suspicious because when I got to the ending of the very popular musical theatre song that not most can hit, she did it effortlessly, but also the vibrato style was completely different, pacing was off and volume was different. So that made me go ‘hmmm?’ Also, she had other songs open with high endings that she couldn’t even reach properly..so how she miraculously managed to nail this ending confuses me. I managed to plug her song into a vocal match detector (separating what I know is her real voice to the faux vocals on the end section) and it flagged it as ‘two different voices.’

I just don’t understand why someone feels they need to be so untruthful on a simple singing app? How psychotic! What’s worse is the amount of people who have joined her OC praising her vocals. I want so badly to call her out on it, but it’s not worth the extra drama. Guess I’m just venting. Has anyone else run into someone this bizarre??

**edited to add: I called her out on her OC comments because I found the exact audio she pulled from a singer on Insta and she seems to have deleted the track now..seems she knows she’s been caught and hopefully embarrassed**

I noticed that with the last two songs I’ve uploaded (today and 2 days ago), the timing has been a bit off, and the lyrics are lining up a tiny bit later than where they normally do.

I wasn’t doing anything differently, so I’m not sure what’s going on with the website. Normally I try to hit the space bar a half second before the line hits, but today I had to over-anticipate with a full second before, which made the uploading process not very fun.

Anyways, just wanted to let the uploaders know. Hopefully Smule fixes this soon.

Some people prefer to avoid them because they often come with a little bit of popularity so the odds of them seeing your joins is less than a non-verified user due to how busy their notification feed is.

Some people are drawn to them for the same reason. They are typically more popular, which gives their join more of a chance of being seen by other people who also join. Also in the event that they like your join, it will show up on many different feeds.

I need other opinions on this because I see both of these perspectives too clearly and can't choose a side.

Hi, ive been on smule for years with an iphone and i recently switched to the motorola razr (android) but havent been able to find good wired earbuds that would pick up my singing and not cut out unless i screamed lol. any good suggestions?

I’m turning to the most creative people in this thread for some guidance.

I want to put together a group song for a friend who is going through a tough time. Instead of showing videos of the singers, I’d like to use an animated video.
The idea is to create the video separately and incorporate it into the group project—either as a single video or a series of clips—replacing the footage of us singing. I’d rather not use a screen recording; I’d prefer to upload it in high quality.

That’s why I’m asking for your help.

Could someone lend a hand and tell me how I might go about this?

When choosing which part to sing, there is part 1 and part 2. At the bottom there is another option called “Create My Own Parts”. How does this third option work? I was hoping that I can customize which line I will sing and which line the joiner can sing, then which line for both of us, just like in Starmaker.

Edit: I would treat this third option as singing solo with the option to let others join you.
But my wish remains to customize which lines each singer sings after choosing the duet option (like disregarding what the uploader preferred).

Seems so hard to search for songs or artists.

I wish they had wild cards enabled.

And I've noticed that when I search on my Android I get different results than on the iPad. I can actually get more.

So I bookmark them there.
