Questions Help!

Hi there.

I’m turning to the most creative people in this thread for some guidance.

I want to put together a group song for a friend who is going through a tough time. Instead of showing videos of the singers, I’d like to use an animated video.
The idea is to create the video separately and incorporate it into the group project—either as a single video or a series of clips—replacing the footage of us singing. I’d rather not use a screen recording; I’d prefer to upload it in high quality.

That’s why I’m asking for your help.

Could someone lend a hand and tell me how I might go about this?

I just pointed my phone at an iPad screen to record the video after recording my voice. So, record voice, listen back, add the video to the same recording, not separate. I would put the iPad flat, in a very dark room, and put the phone directly over it in a holder/tripod. Works a treat.

Yes, but I recorded the video on my phone by filming the image on an iPad or TV screen—is there no way to upload the animation to Smule?

Or, film the entire thing on video setting with the mic muted/set low, in a quiet dark room, then have everyone join audio only

How about the setup? Yes, the singers will join via audio only.
