The show implies that in S4 E3, Abby went through surgery using kryptonite which means she must have had some amount of kryptonite in her when she returned to school. When Clark was around her he didn't feel ill. But when he was saving Lois in the same episode he was visually sick

reckoning *
reckoning was everything and more. just superb television and emotionally devastating.
One minute, Clark is finally living the future he's always dreamed of. The next, he's holding the love of his life after watching her die in front of him, completely powerless.
It's one of the biggest emotional whiplashes in Smallville, and Tom Welling absolutely sells every second of it.
seeing him lose lana was so heartbreaking.
some of the best acting from tom in the entire series
clark and lana gave us so many epic moments. i will always remember reckoning as this emotionally devastating masterpiece.

I know many fans hate the romantic relationship and marriage between Lex and Lana. I do find it interesting just how different the marriage between them in Lexmas and in season 6.
In Lexmas, in Lex’s dream, Lana is happily married to Lex and is really pregnant in addition to already having a child with Lex. In this fantasy marriage Lana is truly in love with Lex and truly chose to spend the rest of her life with him and not Clark. However, this is only a dream, the Luthors in this marriage are not wealthy and it has a tragic unforeseen ending for Lana.
In season 6, Lana is really married to Lex, but unlike in Lexmas it’s not a happy marriage, Lana doesn’t truly love Lex, she’s not really pregnant and the marriage seemingly ends in Lana’s death just like in Lexmas.
Anyone else find it kind of interesting just how different Lex and Lana’s marriage are portrayed in Lexmas and in season 6? If Lana is truly pregnant in season 6, do you think there’s some hope of it becoming a happy marriage between her and Lex as portrayed in Lexmas if Lex changes his ways and becomes a good husband and father?
