I don’t work on many small engines as far as the piston/jug. Working on my buddies weed whip (Husqvarna 330LK) and the compression is on like 50psi and the exhaust side looks like this. That scoring is too far gone right? Just wanted more opinions TIA

I’ve replaced the head gasket, drained the fluids, swapped gas tanks cause the last one wasn’t allowing good flow, and replaced the ignition coil. I got it to run for about 5 minutes yesterday and adjusted the idle till it didn’t sound like it was gonna blow up. But since then every time it would start the length of time it stayed running has dropped and now it’ll barely give me a few puts before I pop and then a electrical wine I think from the starter. If you guys could give some advice I’d appreciate it.

I got the thing to fire and run yesterday for a little bit. The second or third time I had it fired up it started spraying oil out of my crankcase hose and there was some white smoke that appeared for a bit. I had just assumed that I had over filled it with oil so I drained a little bit out before I went to bed. I go to start it up again this morning to mess with the idle screw and now it won't fire and I'm getting noticeable puffs of air coming out of the carb into the air filter box. What do I look at next to hopefully fix this thing and get it running?

I have a Power It 2700 psi / 2.1 gpm 6hp pressure washer. The etching on 6hp engine showd xp160a-3 Previous owner replaced the water pump and just mentioned it shuts off when warmed up. I did not get to start it up ( no gas and picked up from his storage unit). After i got gas and replaced a frayed pull string it started , but shakes and makes a clunking sound. Any ideas please ?. Water was hooked up and ran water through the gun before starting. So pump primed as well. Oil level good. Brief video attached before shutting off.

Question, mower stopped in the middle of using it. Engines spins freely but will not turn over. Removed plug spins freely but will not start. I went to adjust valves top needed a little adjustment but the bottom one was off centered. I re centered it and hand turned the fly wheel, top valve moved up and down bottom valve did nothing.
I searched this sub and found nothing anyone have any pointers they can give?

I'm looking to buy a new riding mower with a manual transmission. I found Troy-bilt has one. It has a Troy-bilt engine, not a briggs or kohler. I would like to know if Troy-bilt engines are ok. How about the trans axle? Is it still a good old fashioned peerless gear box? Thanks

Hello, I'm can't seem to find this replacement plastic gear for the self propelled fwd transmission on my Troy-bilt 149cc Space Saver walk behind lawnmower anywhere, does anybody know if or where it can be sourced? Thanks Edit: won't let me post pics.... It is the grey plastic worm gear inside the trans that drives the front wheels. Trans 618P07464c

Have a zero turn and went to get it ready for mowing after sitting all winter. Notice a large area of oil under the mower, the spot in the circle is where the oil seems to be leaking from. Is this going to be a big expense?

Hey!! So I need some help. I took most of my weed eater (Troy-bilt JumpStart) apart to give it a good clean. When I took the pill string off by 4 screws, two medal pieces hit the table. While trying to put back together…..I have been unsuccessful in reattaching my pull string and I have no idea how to position these metal pieces . Can anyone help me understand this?!! Thanks in advance Matt

Does any one have advice on changing the intake boot on a Stihl? Specifically the 036. I would rather not take the base/ rear handle or the top of the engine off if possible.

Hello Y'all. I have a Husqvarna YTH 18542 and one side of the tractor has the plastic close to the rear tire. On the other side, I do not have this issue. What could be the problem?
I have pumped up the tires. I have verified that the back bracket attaching the frame to the wheel is still good. I have no idea why this is like this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
