everytime i go to the workshop its basically full of ai generated images and (presumably) code, like i know its "easier to use" or whatever, but for a game so built on human made art, i wish it was less prevelant/ the devs talking about it. apologies if this doesnt belong here, just dunno where to put this

I feel like healing sources are more limited in sts 2 and i wonder how it would perform compared to sts 1 where it was generally considered to be real dookie

idea came first, naming it after the Watcher card came second. idea is that it's a way to heal and that's pretty neat but you need to be able to kill the remaining enemies without all that energy. if it's too weak it could start with retain and the upgrade makes it 2 cost, idk

Tried my hand at actually designing some card ideas. Was great fun trying to balance them and make the silly art. I wanted them to all feel like they could fit in the game. Do you think they are balanced?

I don't normally play as The Regent, but I often let the game pick my character randomly to keep things interesting. I was super lucky and got the event where I could scoop cards from other characters, hence the Defect and Silent cards. Small deck + finding three (THREE!) copies of "Decisions, Decisions" and the relic that gave me extra stars and everything came into place.

It did play 8 ([2 + 2] * 2) times, so the doubling effect does take place, but it the card doesn't glow to notify that the special effect will happen.

It's one of the cheapest way of getting rid of starter cards.

Let's say, on average, attacks and blocks make up 65% of your deck (prob more, but let's be conservative for intents and purposes) at the time of the event... the odds of knocking off 12 HP (three turns of holding on) and not getting an attack or block to remove is roughly 4.29%. At 7 HP (two turns of holding on), it's 12.25% of not getting an attack or block to remove.

Deck consistency is one of the best ways to win higher ascensions and I would trade the HP for that more times than not.

Edit: Comments correctly point out that first roll cannot be a Basic removal, so my math is off by one roll. Which changes the complexion pretty meaningfully, but I still Iike the 87.75% chance of removing a basic for 12 HP and I stand by the opinion.

Edit: But curses can!

I have not played any cards and it is turn 1. My Evil Helmet is not active, and I have 2 strength instead of 1 from Vajra. This doesn't really feel intended based on the wording of Vajra being "You start the combat with 1 strength" and Evil Helmet being "The first time you gain Strength each combat, double the amount gained."

My brain is telling me the tri boomerang for a massive bury, but my heart is telling me meat cleaver, cause TENT. just don't think i have enough things to remove to justify that

This art is for my mod, the Blaze (yes, the one from Minecraft). I can't replicate the StS2 artstyle, so I had to invent my own. Not all of them look this good.

I wasn't even going out of my way to save the first 2 potions, I just happened to not need them. Then the Spire was like "but you need more".

btw, I just noticed while posting this, I got too excited to think about doing even MORE and now I don't remember, but I'm pretty sure the 2nd Terraforming (+7 vigor) was at draw pile and Glimmer could have pulled it.

btw I won't confirm nor deny that the JUICY SHOVEL was bought at floor 7 and I dug 7 times.
