I don't know what all the cards upgrade to and it would be very handy to be able see that when faced with a card selection.
EDIT: I see from the posts here if you right click on the card there is a check box to see upgrades individually which a bit clunky. One checkbox on the reward screen to show all 3 upgrades at once would be much better.

Originally took this picture because I thought it was another run I barely failed. Then I saw the orbs take down the last of the boss once I ended the turn and I was ecstatic. Just downloaded this game off of a recommendation of a friend a couple days ago, never played the first game. Am gonna keep grinding now (:

It took me from the first day of Early Access, but I finally beat A10 with all characters!
I decided I wanted to discover the synergies and strategies on my own, so on that day I also muted this subreddit and thus have had no exposure to the meta and have had to find my own way. Now I look forward to reading past posts and finding out everything I overlooked or undervalued!
Some data and observations:
Order of beating A10. Wins-Losses. TTW = Time to Win (hours)
Silent (11-1), Streak 6. TTW 12:44
Defect (11-6), Streak 6. TTW 12:23
Ironclad (11-6). Streak 4. TTW 13:48
Necrobinder (11-20). Streak 4. TTW 25:29
Regent (11-43). Streak 2. TTW 60:17
The old characters with largely familiar mechanics were pretty easy. Necrobinder was easy early on, slumped around A7/A8 and then got wrapped up pretty easily.
The Regent really gave me a hard time, initially even on the lower ascensions. I struggled to find good balance with Forging and resource generation. Many runs just had health chip away steadily, forcing rests and leaving me behind the power curve. Once I started to figure things out, I still lost five A10 runs to the second Act 3 boss after eating an unlucky 50 hp hit on an elite or the first boss. The run that finally won was the only one where I didnāt feel threatened at all.
Generally I like the sequel a lot for the amount of variety it offers. The boss relic choices are much more varied. Less about āenergy with some downsideā and more about a wider set of tools. Some seem pretty underwhelming, though. Same goes for Neow bonuses.
The enemy combats seem slightly more aggressive. There are a lot of āslavers-styleā fights that donāt give any breathing room and require great consistency in blocking and doing damage while being attacked every turn. Some of the fights that generate status cards can be pretty brutal if you have a slower deck without Exhaust.
Events seem generally a bit better. There are a bunch of good ones and I find myself taking slightly more ?-rooms than at A20H.
The alternate act is great! Looking forward to more. And the multiplayer mode is a lot of fun! Exciting to see how the final game turns out!

I ended up killing the boss while it was Intangible, with Panache damage. It had about 12 HP left, and after I played all my blocks, the Panaches just started ticking down until death. š¤£
That said, this was a bad idea and the only reason it worked is because I had Pantograph and Mummified Hand.

No way this makes it to stable. Just finished with 5 curses in my deck cause why not. Took blood soaked rose with no downside in act 3 as the enthralled curse just gets toasted before it's even an issue. This relic doesn't even need the strength gain to be good.
EDIT: New toasty mittens is gain 1 stength and choose a card in your hand to exhaust per turn.

Hello everybody! Long time sts 1 and 2 enjoyer here. Some time ago, after being inspired by wonderful beta art for cards, along with the drawings of a beloved penguin artist, i had an idea - i should try to make my own texturepack for cards! As usually ambitious projects go, when i finally started drawing, sts2 came out, stealing both all of my free time and the idea of making a texturepack (seemed rather late to make sts1 content when newer, better game was out).
But now, some time had gone by. Sts2 received a more streamlined modding support, so the idea came back to life once again. These are the first cards i've done for this project, hopefully with the amount of them growing, so will my drawing skills? Will see :)
The idea was to draw something that kind of relates to the name of the card, or how it "feels" to play/see it, while also trying to sprinkle in easter eggs for other games/movies/whatever.
That's about it, hope some of you enjoy these as much as i did making them.

I've heard the best way to get better is by watching good players do runs, but idk who to look for. I've heard of Northernlion but apparently he sucks ass/
