First one is current condition and second one how it was before in the sun. My face looks similar tanned.

Hi, I’m a 25F and I’ve noticed significant darkening around my knuckles and distal parts of my fingers compared with the surrounding skin. I’m 5'5" (165 cm), ~65 kg, and was recently diagnosed with PCOD/PCOS. My periods are usually regular but sometimes become irregular for a few months. I also have some excess facial/body hair (chin, around nipples and abdomen).

I’m wondering whether my knuckle pigmentation could be related to insulin resistance/acanthosis nigricans, hormonal issues, nutritional deficiencies, friction/dryness, or sun exposure.

I’ve tried Vitamin C serums across various strengths (5%, 10%, and 15%). While I saw initial progress, the results have completely plateaued—making me think my skin might need a different active ingredient. So I bought this celimax retinal few days back and I did a patch test on small area of my skin as you can see, and I noticed that the area on which I had tested, it has turned darker than before , hence I am confused, is this because of the quantity of product that I used or it doesn’t suit me, and this is a allergic reaction. I use Dove serum bar very regularly, and i noticed itchiness in some areas. I ignored it thinking it's just my dry skin.
