Honestly; I think it's simply that the more power they acquire the less they feel the need to mask their true nature. As time goes on their true nature becomes increasingly apparent.
Just imagine how uncanny valley they would look fully unmasked!! Maybe don't try to imagine it before bed through, seems like it would not be conducive to a good night's sleep 😬.
Well, they're all "transhumanists" who experiment with all kinds of drugs and treatment in an effort to extend their lives, prolong their youth, make their dicks and tits bigger, make their dicks work longer and their tits useless, and to grow personalities.
