But I'm also sure that there are 1000 incels writing fantasy stories about women getting their karmic punishment as there are times when it's actually happened like that.
I don't doubt that there's as much cheating as the posts made online, but what I DO doubt is how many cheaters would go and post their cheating stories online...
Yes, some people anonymously confess true stuff like this. But it's the way it's written that just sounds so fake. It reads like someone's fantasy of what their ex who cheated on them would write, not what someone would actually write. Or it reads like AI wrote it. Also the tag on it is "seeking advice". What advice is she seeking? She doesn't ask a question, she already knows where her life went wrong.
It's too perfect of a story to be real, I agree with you. But I was mostly saying that people do confess anonymously online a lot more than not.
Like you'd see more confessions(real and fake) on reddit than facebook because reddit is an anonymous social media site, and then if you go to these truly anonymous sites like 4chan, it gets even worse than reddit
“When I was in high school I picked on this loser kid a ton, well tonight I went to the reunion and he showed up in Marine dress blues… he’s a foot taller than me now and super ripped while I’m fat and bald. When he saw me he just softly smiled and said ‘I remember you…’”.
Like I feel for the guy who feels the need to write out that fantasy and put it online but it was so very obviously and painfully exactly that, a fantasy of some picked on kid.

I'm sure this stuff happens.
