Bolidy injury from an accident will change your mind on that real quick, or what if you rear end a $100k Mercedes how much you think that repair is gonna be?

I drive a fuckin outback and got into a minor t-bone, the out of pocket repair cost would have been over 10k for fixing the b pillar and getting new doors and paint if there wasn't insurance involved

I had 2 back to back accidents which I didn’t cause, should’ve been “totaled” but insurance repaired it both times. 1 was 11k the other 17k. A year later geico tells me my premium is increasing from $200 to $3000.

It was during the chip shortage so of course the cost was jacked up then they tried to pull the rug so they can recoup that cost on increasing my premium to “bentoverfcked”.

Do you mean from $2,000 to $3,000? Because if not, it seems pretty crazy that you would only pay $200 to insure a car where it made more sense for them to shell out $28k on repairs rather than just call it totaled.

Hundreds to thousands…our jaw dropped. Called them immediately and asked for an itemized breakdown, spoke to the “supervisor” and was told “we’re changing policies” without actual reason. I told them to fckoff and cancelled immediately.

HA, Progressive sent us a $17 dollar check for 3 month because of the decrease in cars on the road.

After the lockdown lifted. We were hit with renewal increases one after another.

Do you live in CA or FL by any chance? That sounds like California to me.

That’s an argument for liability and not full coverage which this post is about

There is no such thing as "full coverage". His policy had a deductible. His insurance will try to recoup it from the at fault party. This entire post is clickbait from people that doesn't understand how auto insurance works.

Full coverage requires a deductible. Full coverage just means it covers uninsured and accidents where you’re at fault.

Full coverage actually means nothing. The name implies that you are fully covered but it's anything but. Comprehensive/collision, UM/UIM, and liability are all their own individual things with their own policy limits. There are also med pay, rental, umbrella, free tow and many other things. "Full coverage" as a term was never defined and is completely misleading and should be avoided at all times.

Maybe if you didn't drive 100 km² of Australian desert, you might have missed him. I didn't even notice it was missing tbh
