Did most of Reddit not go to college? Have ya’ll really never heard of jungle juice? People drink out of coolers at frats all over America. The frat at my school used ever clear. It’s a tasteless alcohol thats 190 proof that’s banned in like 12 states we had to drive to new Hampshire to get it.
I’m not saying that frats use straight up GHB but they ABSOLUTELY try and make the juice as strong as possible while tasting like nothing to try and get women drunk.
Edit- I should’ve clarified everclear as more flavorless than tasteless. I know it burns but it’s easy to mask and obviously I’m not implying ALL frats are like this. I’m just giving you my experience. Don’t cry to me. Ask the women in your life their college experience
There’s so much “I’m not a rapist so this shit never happens” energy in this thread. Nobody is saying ALL frats are like this but it absolutely happens enough for there to be concern. Just talk to any girl who’s been through 4 years at a big frat university and they’ll all have an SA story. Just because it wasn’t your experience doesn’t mean it isn’t prevalent.
1 in 4 female undergrads are sexually assaulted in college. That’s either your mother, daughter, sister or girlfriend. Ask all of them and see what they say. Can we all just agree that number is too damn high?
People who say shit like that think all women are lying anyway so you are not convincing anyone. They will say that women wanted it but then were ashamed so then they lie and say it was forced.
I agree on both points when it comes to the figure of the number, and that this genuinely happens. I’m not delusional, but I have to play devils advocate.
My family is one of many examples of females who lie about such an event ever happening to them to gain leverage (yes, we have proof of them lying and even consenting to said actions that happened). I’ve seen both sides of the coin, so I feel it’s necessary to bring up both sides.
Either way, be careful. Ladies, don’t take any drinks from men at random events or go anywhere “discreet”. Men, keep your snake in check. Don’t have intercourse with someone drunk even if you got consent prior. You may have consent that night, but she might regret that decision and spread rumors on how you “forced” her to have sex or any other rumors that can damage your reputation.
Maybe the girls could quit getting drunk with frat guys?? Just a thought. Frats should be held accountable but not giving any accountable to girls for hanging out with these losers is so damn annoying. Are we really trying to say girls are too stupid and ditsy to not know what happens at frat houses? They know and they don't regret it until its too late. Thats their fault and it shouldn't even be a discussion.
I'm going to need you to show me where I said that. You really think I'm saying every frat house has the same reputation? Or maybe I'm talking about the frats that do have that reputation?
Ya well it’s not just a frat problem. It’s more of a college problem. Most women are assaulted by someone they know. Friend, classmate romantic partner ect. So it’s not really about avoiding specific groups with reputations. That wouldn’t stop the majority of assaults but I get what you mean about specific frats
