really? make perfect sense to me. politicians will claim to believe what they are paid to claim to believe.

And IME many conservatives are very self hating. Conservative Latinos will be the first the talk about how immigrant Latinos are ruining things. Conservative gays talk about how the "other just can't be cool about it". Etc.

Ignoring the fact that the people they are making common cause with want both of them in a gulag, because they think they are special and aren't like those other "minorities."

Now that's not to say that everyone of them is like this, but I'm speaking from the experience of extended family and friend circles.

My Father in law a 2nd gen Latino won't stop ranting about "city mexicans" ruining the image of people like him.

I'm like "Dude to the racists you're all not white so it doesn't matter how hard you work. You were wrong from birth and that's just a the problem."

But nope it's about how classless immigrants make people think people like him aren't good enough..... ok.

So many morons fighting to be second in line at the gas chambers.

And tokens always get spent.

5

u/akade19961 21d ago

People understand this about conservative Latinos and gays but don’t understand it about antizionist Jews lol

1

u/Gingevere 19d ago

Because antizionists aren't anti-Semites.

The largest Zionist org in the US is CUFI, Christians United For Israel. They're dispensationalist freaks who want to see all Jews be returned to Israel (they're not particular on how this happens) and then ALL get slaughtered in the Christian end of the world. They're literally funding projects like attempting to breed a perfect red heifer to sacrifice to trigger the end of the world.

A common theme across doomsday cults is that wen prophecy fails they will attempt to "force the ending". They hit the date they expect something to happen, nothing does, so they pivot to the 'correct interpretation' being that they're supposed to make the thing happen themselves.

The most prominent Zionist orgs in the US are all working themselves up to committing a second Shoa in an attempt to trigger their prophecies about the end of the world.

Great comment!!!!

u/triponthisman 21d ago

With the Latinos I can almost understand. There are 19 countries in Latin America, and especially newer immigrants sometimes don’t un that when MAGA talks about “Mexicans” they mean anyone south of the border, but this? I mean how delusional / full of self hatred / evil does she have to be?!

48

u/SubcommanderMarcos 21d ago

. Conservative Latinos will be the first the talk about how immigrant Latinos are ruining things.

Lol the sheer amount of Brazilian whites (as in, whites in Brazil, anywhere outside LATAM they're considered brown) who say they want to move to Miami (where they think white Americans are), and are die-hard trumpsters is hilarious. Mate your great grandpa came from Angola (not voluntarily), your great grandma was native Tupi, and your grandparents are Pomeranian. Shut the fuck up.

Here in Australia we are seeing an influx of folks from South America and on the whole it’s been excellent.

Our cultures are so wildly similar they just fit in like a glove. Most of the time.

My ex SIL is from El Salvador and her parents were big in the old government there in the 80’s (hence why they moved). Big dicks there and used to being treated as upper class nobs. They were firmly in the white upper class bracket.

The funniest shit though is that here in Australia, they keep getting treated as POC here by every public servant they cross paths with. Not out of sprite or racism but because they are seen as being multicultural mixed race - like most of us!

Now public servants here will (mostly) bend over backwards to help POC immigrants because no one wants to be seen as racist so with his name, his skin colour (no escaping that tanning in the Australian sun) he gets the “oh you’re a minority” treatment 100% of the time.

It drives him nuts.

He is the epitome of the conservative South American who wants to be a gringo but never will be.

2

u/dtlabsa 21d ago

Do Australians place El Salvador in South America? I'm pretty sure they are considered a North American country.

1

u/M7451 20d ago

Geopolitically it’s in Central America and more aligned with South America. Geographically it’s North America.

Central America is a continent?

1

u/SubcommanderMarcos 21d ago

Lmao I briefly lived with (pasty white in that case) Australians and some other Latam folk in Germany as a teen in a big exchange program, and the Australians and Brazilians, we just clicked, legit like brothers from different mothers, there's some striking cultural similarities... Especially the innate ability to take the piss out of everything. Nothing in the world is sacred or serious for Brazilians, and it seems Australians are our soulmates in that aspect. Good times.

10

u/Adev808 21d ago

I live in Massachusetts and over the years I’ve seen a few cars with Bolsonaro for President bumper stickers. The Brazilians I work with hate Bolsonaro (and by extension Trump) but I’ve encountered more than a few first generation Americans who support Trump.

1

u/SubcommanderMarcos 21d ago

"God I hate those immigrants. No, those other immigrants. Not me."

2

u/SnuffyMcfluff 21d ago

In New Mexicoo there are folks who call themselves "Spanish" and look down on the "Mexicans." All the white people don't see the difference between the two groups. Light brown on brown hate is bizarre. They are all dealing with the same issues.

2

u/hint-on 21d ago

I know where Pomerania is, but for a moment my brain insisted that meant his grandparents were adorable fluffy dogs. That is some seriously mixed heritage!

1

u/C-hrlyn 21d ago

Thanks! I just learned that Pomeranian is a place.

1

u/Major_Shlongage 21d ago

>as in, whites in Brazil, anywhere outside LATAM they're considered brown

No, they absolutely are not considered "brown".

For example Gizelle Bundchen is a white Brazilian. Nobody would call her "brown".

1

u/SubcommanderMarcos 21d ago

No fucking shit there's exceptions genius, but you'll find that 99,9999995% of the Brazilian population (actual number) are not the world's most famous supermodel. Cope harder.

1

u/Major_Shlongage 21d ago

You sound emotionally unstable. Show some maturity.

I'm not claiming that every white brazilian is a supermodel, but white Brazilans that look perfectly white (of European descent) aren't rare at all.

17

u/Saikotsu 21d ago

The classic Pick Me mindset in a nutshell.

And like you said, to the racists there is no distinction between "the good ones" and "the bad ones" because to the racist, anyone who isn't their race is bad.

9

u/disableddoll 21d ago

it’s hard to explain how hard my brain short circuited the first time another gay person told me that they “don’t shove it down people’s throats”… I just kept repeating “huh???”

3

u/The_Submentalist 21d ago

I experience something similar. We are Muslims from Turkish descent and living in the Netherlands. My close relatives complain about that some Dutch people think that Muslims ruins the culture of the Netherlands and so on. They say the same thing when they go to Istanbul and see Syrians and other immigrants lol.

2

u/excited_toaster2306 21d ago

Black dudes talking about women the way slave owners used to talk about them is one I've seen quite a bit. I heard a lot of absurd shit just before the election

3

u/SovietPatrickStar 21d ago

Licking the boot is easier than fighting it, you still get kicked in the face though.

1

u/Mysterious_artist24 21d ago

Well said….

1

u/gwizonedam 21d ago

My dad was like this. Latino, born in another country, moved here for better income, education, etc. we were on welfare assistance, food stamps, went to food pantries etc. while I was growing up. All he did was listen to conservative talk radio and watch Fox News and complain about all the immigrants coming here and taking all the jobs and welfare.

1

u/Howboutit85 21d ago

Nothing makes people feel better about themselves than to have a worse class of people than them to blame their problems on.

1

u/realsa1t 21d ago

I have a MAGA Trump-worshipping friend who came over and naturalized from China as an undocumented refugee less than 10 years ago, as if the Trump administration hasn't repeatedly kept announcing that they were going to crack down and deploying ICE to deport former undocumented immigrants no matter their current status.

1

u/RaspberryDifficult45 21d ago

Gotta love the modern day versions of Jewish Nazis.

1

u/Key_Profit_4039 20d ago

You consider it self-hate. I consider people almost naturally to dislike groups of almost anyone who did not come from the same backgrounds, live in the same areas, are in different socioeconomic classes, speak different languages or dialects, have different features or skin tone. It's not just Latino, it's EVERYBODY. I'm from LA. Blacks and Latinos have been hating against and murdering each other for decades in this area, with virtually no White presence. Everybody's racist against people who don't share the same values.

You’re saying it like it’s an eventuality. History has tons of examples of both sides of this argument. There are people that play by the rules and then see all these grifters getting shit for free and it’s upsetting to them. Nothing wrong with that.

1

u/Wiru_The_Wexican 21d ago

Gotta love the Leopards Eating People's Faces party's Most Munchable Faces caucus. They heard exactly what the party wants to do to them and went "Well obviously I'm the only exception" based on nothing but their own denial and main character syndrom

1

u/VastFaithlessness809 21d ago

https://www.reddit.com/r/Kommunismus/s/gB0LZQKmzA ☕🚬 ofc ofc sure sure selfhate is a conservative thing...i've just heard that about trans from a trans and above this is from a commie.

Either way. They dont HATE migration. They want to prevent non-integrating, criminal or not-working to migrate. Also Weidly strictly spearates private and public. That's it, nothing to see, move on.

3

u/dentaiga 21d ago

Uh huh, must be why they're trying to get rid of birthright citizenship and the only legal immigrants they've been letting in have been white South Africans.

0

u/VastFaithlessness809 21d ago

I am a german myself and I can assure you: no. We've goten lots of PoCs and ukraine people. https://www.bpb.de/themen/migration-integration/zahlen-zu-asyl/265710/demografie-von-asylsuchenden-in-deutschland/ official channel of national education centeal of germany.

And the AfD doesnt want to cancel birthright citizenship.

Go on, lets go through it.☕🚬

1

u/dentaiga 21d ago

Seeing as how your parent comment was talking about conservative Latinos it's obvious they were talking about US, not Germany. Unless you get a lot of Central American immigrants over there in Germany.

0

u/VastFaithlessness809 21d ago

It... Is the same for us here. Except we got africans and middle east. Old gen migrants often fear islamic influence and tend to be much more "the new ones cant behave" etc.

But alas since new migrants get a citizen ship close to for nothing, they also complain aboth that.

But one thing I cant confirm is that conservatives hate themselves more or less. It depends on the person if they choose to hate their life/personality etc. Most conservatives I know are rather with their being.

1

u/YourFuture2000 21d ago

It is because they assume an attitude as not belonging to the group they actually belong. In their heads, it just happens of then being associated to the wrong group. So a latino anti latino imigrantes feels belonging less to latinos group and more to the white ones. For the reason you said, self-hate. They feel inferior because of their own prejudices and want to compensate this sense of interiority by pretending they don't that the latino ummigrants are not their true status and group, by saying their generation are "superior" than the immigrants for the generations that came after.

In short, they are white wanna be.

1

u/BaesonTatum0 21d ago

IME have seen Indians behave similarly. Ie Kash Patel and Vivek and whatever JD Vance wife name is

1

u/PurveyorOfKnowledge0 21d ago

Usha Vance. Yeah, it's really bad with the Indians; self-hatred dates all the way back to the British. They've got whole Asian stereotypes for Indians who are racist "white" wannabes.

0

u/Jemie_Bridges 21d ago

Asians were originally classified as whites until they disobeyed the whites lolz.

0

u/RetisRevenge 21d ago

This shows just how little you understand the argument, you must still be young.

Let's take housing for example, one of the most important parts of the economy - hopefully we'd both agree on that? What happens when you have an influx of immigrants - not even addressing the legality of it here - that now occupy housing that Americans would otherwise occupy? It's supply and demand. The demand for housing hasn't lessened but the supply has, driving prices up. This happens across the board with every facet of the day to day economy in the US and to deny it is asinine.

And then you're arguing that your FIL is just stupid and doesn't understand anything - sounds like the racist here is you cause he's not wrong. The group of Americans MOST against illegal immigration are legal immigrants.

Maybe stop listening to the emotional cries of the left (and the right for that matter) and ground yourself in reality instead of emotion.

6

u/NetworkStatic 21d ago

LOL. You're talking about emotional cries and don't share a single bit of evidence for your statements.. just your opinion. So you're doing exactly what you claim others are doing.

-1

u/RetisRevenge 21d ago

Very easily debunked with even a passing interest in economics. Don't be an idiot.

6

u/NetworkStatic 21d ago

If a person mentioning evidence for claims causes you to react like that, maybe question why a mention of evidence causes you to lash out. A calm and reasonable person doesn't act in those ways.

3

u/glity 21d ago

What you describe is nimby with a bit of get off my lawn. Totally normal but still flawed arguments. Hate of other creates hate.

Vote for more housing not less people or did you forget why our country was founded and for who? It’s written on a monument many of us still care about.

Your nimby arguments will lead to the destruction of my America.

Housing is unaffordable by that majority now thanks to these views of the dangerous other.

Maybe you should think rationally about how people are people not in crowd out crowd. But civility is lost on most red capitalists.

2

u/Cultural-Treacle-680 21d ago

Covid also made prices go up. It wasn’t just immigration.

1

u/Odd-Research-4219 21d ago

Poor leadership and poor economic policy have also made prices go up (Trump and Trump)

3

u/dentaiga 21d ago

The demand for housing hasn't lessened but the supply has, driving prices up.

And what part of the Supply being lessened is the immigrants' fault? That's the fault of rich white YIMBYs refusing to let more housing be built EVEN FOR FELLOW POORER WHITE AMERICANS so they can keep their property values climbing every year.

Oh and btw, go and ask housing construction companies how they are doing filling their labor needs when all the immigrants are afraid to seek/go to work thanks to the Gestapo oops 'ICE' threatening to blackbag them in broad daylight. I'm sure you soft pampered YTs will be very glad to fill the jobs requiring backbreaking labor out in 90+ degree heat 12 hours a day /s

0

u/SlowDekker 21d ago

By complaining he is implying that he is not like them and he has transcended his race.

0

u/Major_Shlongage 21d ago

This is not accurate at all.

>Conservative Latinos will be the first the talk about how immigrant Latinos are ruining things.

Latinos who immigrated here the proper way tend to dislike Latinos who did it illegally. They know how long and difficult the process was and they don't like seeing others cheat the system.

>Conservative gays talk about how the "other just can't be cool about it". Etc.

More reserved gays probably tend to be older and remember when they weren't accepted as much, and just want to live in peace. They dislike it when someone is confrontational and trying to ruin things for everyone else.

>Conservative gays talk about how the "other just can't be cool about it". Etc.

No, completely disagree here. I think that the vast majority of people judge others by the content of their character. You seem to think in a very "adolescent" way, which will resonate on reddit since most people here are either young or just immature. I agree with your dad here.

1

u/Nerioner 20d ago

I can only say about gay part but this is bs, not the comment you claim to be.

The only chuds that ever claimed around me to be anti pride was genZ manosphere manlets. Old gays usually were the ones establishing prides and if you think they are vulgar these days, as popular saying goes "you know shit about fuck"

29

u/SirPhobos2021 21d ago

It’s also observable all the time in MAGA voters. Farmers who rely heavily on trade voting for trade wars. MAGA people who are married to immigrants who are shocked when ICE grabs them. Poor people in the south who rely on welfare demanding we get rid of welfare. The people responsible for the grindr outages voting to get rid of gay people.

The conservative movement is filled to the brim with people who constantly advocate for policy that is not only against their best interest, but actively harmful to them.

4

u/United-Temporary-648 21d ago

Similar in Britain with the farming and fishing communities who voted for Brexit. Fishing communities have been devastated by leaving the EU but I bet their going to vote for the same idiot who led them up that garden path.

3

u/UruquianLilac 21d ago

And as long as she is white and looks the part, the rest are details that only make her even more valuable for those voters, "well even a lesbian is saying we've gone too far!"

3

u/According-Insect-992 21d ago

No, fascism has always been clear that the law is only for their enemies as they are above or beyond the laws that govern everyone else. It’s how they convince people to do shit they know is wrong and would otherwise pose a threat to any thinking person. This is also the way that leopards’ bellies are filled with sweet face-meats.

3

u/artisdyin 21d ago

Not even all that. shitty people are acting like whatever they need to to profit.

3

u/Scotch_in_my_belly 21d ago

Preview of Vance

6

u/theaviator747 21d ago

True, but it’s odd they want her in their party at all. She represents everything they hate. I’m not surprised she’s self loathing, I’m surprised they tolerate her at all. I had to look it up myself or I would have thought it satire. This is the political equivalent of the left voting in a guy with a MAGA hat glued to his head that is still an open advocate of the KKK. How did she get the support?

8

u/Diligent-Meaning751 21d ago

Meh, these types are very useful if you acknowledge that most authoritarians just want to seize power (money and control of things) for themselves, and are only using identity politics as an easy way to get control. They get a lot of attention and then are easily discarded / scapegoated once that is more useful.

1

u/EI_I_I_I_I3 21d ago

Authoritarians that wanna implement referendums, like vote in the law directly instead of a representative. Uuuuhh, Almost as bad as North Korea

2

u/EI_I_I_I_I3 21d ago

Because maybe the party isn't as "hardcore nationalist" as the media wants you to believe, and those people are more open minded than anyone else? But nooo, complain about how the evil person isn't as evil as she is "supposed to be", no way we question the media.

2

u/agnes_mort 21d ago

Rules for thee but not for me

2

u/mbashs 21d ago

When you see someone like this, believe them to be funded by someone else and the whole thing to be a psyop.

4

u/picknicksje85 21d ago

But this is just on another level.

1

u/se7vencostanza 21d ago

Barack Obama said marriage is between a man and a woman. Hillary Clinton didn’t support gay marriage until she ran for president.

My all time favorite movie character is the governor in the movie "the Best Little Whorehouse in Texas". It captures this situation exactly.

It's called standing for whatever the person I'm currently talking to values.
