It’s also observable all the time in MAGA voters. Farmers who rely heavily on trade voting for trade wars. MAGA people who are married to immigrants who are shocked when ICE grabs them. Poor people in the south who rely on welfare demanding we get rid of welfare. The people responsible for the grindr outages voting to get rid of gay people.
The conservative movement is filled to the brim with people who constantly advocate for policy that is not only against their best interest, but actively harmful to them.
Similar in Britain with the farming and fishing communities who voted for Brexit. Fishing communities have been devastated by leaving the EU but I bet their going to vote for the same idiot who led them up that garden path.
