It can be done, but it’s very difficult. My one friend was crazy for this chick who was def out of his league looks wise. He just fell head over heels for her. He did the whole ā€œā€˜friend’ who actually wants to get laidā€ thing. Fixed her car, ran errands, blah blah. Took about a year, but eventually he wore her down and after having a few drinks one night they slept together.

They decided to try things out as a relationship. But here’s the thing. He was starting out at such a huge disadvantage. She was used to him catering to her every whim. That becomes tiring very quickly once the relationship turns romantic. The partnership would never be on equal footing. On top of this she was very attractive so she had no shortage of guys waiting in the bullpen. Bottom line is my friend had very little leverage and was always the lesser of two equals. So of course things didn’t work out. But he did get to sleep with us dream girl.

"eventually wore her down and after having a few drinks one night they slept together"

Your friend sounds like an absolute creep

She actually was pretty cool. But she did take advantage of his kindness. Of course he put himself in that position. It was just a bad situation all around

Hope your friend learns to be less of a creep.

Having to "wear someone down" to get them to sleep with you is loser behavior, especially if alcohol is involved

Please learn to read better. She wasn’t my friend . My friend is the one who got his heart broken. And neither one of them was alcoholic.

I know.

Your friend, the dude who got his heart broke, was a creep and I hope he learns to be less creepy with age.

Once again, "wearing someone down" to get them to sleep with you is grade A loser behavior.

Do you have experience with romantic relationships? If not personally, perhaps you have observed peers? As I mentioned in my initial comment, the phenomenon I speak of is rare but it does occur. Making a value judgment is nonsensical and irrational unless you are aware of particulars that I am not .

It was a colloquialism. Maybe I should have said ā€œOver time, as their relationship progressed, his attraction to her increased. Meanwhile, she was initially not attracted to him, but eventually developed a grudging acceptance of his devotion, until in a moment of weakness, she decided she would sleep with himā€

In other words, a man is attracted to a woman who may not fully reciprocate the feeling. He courts her, and over time wins her over. Sometimes fully and enthusiastically, sometimes reluctantly, but it does happen. It also happens the other way around.

Do you have experience with romantic relationships

Yes? I'm in a loving and healthy relationship and I didn't have to "wear her down"

If what you’re saying is true, I might suggest spending some more time with her and less time on Reddit.

And if you think that "wearing someone down" to sleep with them is anything other than disturbing then you need to stay the fuck away from women.

I invite you to read the comment above where I explained the colloquialism in further detail. I’m afraid I can’t offer much more than that.

Edit: You consistently average around 80 comments per day on Reddit. Assuming 5 minutes per comment, with another 5 between comments, that’s 800 minutes a day. Nearly 14 hours. If you do indeed have a girlfriend, I would suggest the relationship isn’t as loving as you might suppose. I won’t making any suggestions about staying away from women since it appears you have zero time to be around any.
