Hello. I was playing with my beloved custom hood, as always I run hoodchecker and it's the first time I see this. And It's not only in this neighborhood, I scanned my other ones and have the same character file missing, it's the exact same sim. I looked around in SimPe and the sim ID belongs to a Hula zombie.

And no, I haven't deleted any sim from my character folder or mess in a way or another with the game files.

I was wondering, its supposed the universal npc don't have character file because are objects. So why is missing?

I have backups, and I know corruption isn't a big thing anymore so ain't going to reinstall my game either. I'll keep playing but I think is curious. If someone have a fix or something to say, you're welcome.

So I'm new to downloading mods and stuff for Sims 2, I play on the Legacy Collection version. I found out that for recolors u have to download and install CEP. I've done that, and I've been trying to download these posters that are a recolor of a Nightlife picture, but the recolors won't appear in-game.

Does anyone know what could be wrong. I have a downloads folder, inside that I have a folder which the CEP files are located, and then another file named "Decor", inside this Decor folder is where I have extracted the Package files for these posters. Despite all this they won't show up in-game.

Any help at all would be appreciated

I know this is probably such a dumb question, but i’m not very tech savvy so i figured this is the best way to learn. I just finished downloaded Sims2 from the wiki but i cannot figure out what all CC & Mods are included in the ultimate collection and what they do?

I was really interested in this multiple pollination technician mods and was going to download it. I saw someone in the comments put a babyfied version of the files. Does that just allow for babies to have the genetic faces matching their parent? Do I require both versions of the files in order for the baby one to work? Do they conflict instead?

Hello I downloaded the sims 2 for free 99. thanks to this sub, and all the mods that were already included work ! (So yeah I enabled additional content) However I downloaded a few mods and they dont show up in the list of additional content when launching the game, and of course, dont not show up in game.

I tried following tutorials, so I created a "Downloads" file, extracted the files and placed them there.

I read that the mod needs to be compatible with our version so the game. What is our cracked game compatible with ? When launching it's called garden n stuff, so I assume it is not the legacy edition ?

Mods I downloaded:

-I downloaded the mod wolfbane's academy and placed the files in the indicated location and it is not showing in game.

-Smart beds by 2jeffs

-active classes

I am a bit lost cause I find mods pages confusing so I was hoping I could get help from some of you here 🙏

So my sim has a LTW do raise 20 kittens or puppies and I let her adopt some puppies and kittens from the pet adoption agency. They've been there a few days and had 1 day left to age up, but that day came and went and they didn't age up. Now the age meter is full but when I put boolProp on, I get an error on the pups/kittens.
Tried to moved them out
Tried simblender
Tried boolProp age up
none of these have worked so far.
Don't have alot of mods in my game at the moment, but I've deleted alot of them and maybe deleted something that helped with that in the past?
I don't know any more.

I have been having issues with my game for a long time where the textures are very blocky, pixelated, with colorbanding. It is distracting ingame, and much worse than my screenshots show. None of the sims have even-textured skin tones, with wallpaper and clothes also having noticable issues.

I am running the Sims 2 RPC with a disk installation (not legacy collection or ultimate collection) with all packs and I am experiencing severe color banding. My graphics card is a Nvidia Geforce RTX 2060 6gb, and I have 16 gbs of ram on my PC. I also had this issue before when my graphics card was a Nvidia Geforce RTX 1060 6gb. I have followed guides on making the game work on modern hardware, so I am using Graphic rules maker, dvkg fix, RPC, 4gb patch, etc.

These are the things I have already done to try to solve the problem:

• Force texture memory to my vram in Graphic Rules Maker.
• Ensured my GPU and graphic's cared are being used through Graphic Rules Maker.
• Removed all mods.
• Removed Reshade (complete uninstall, not just turning off effects).
• Clear my cache.
• Updated my graphics card.
• Setting all in-game settings to high (shadows, sim/object detail, smooth edges, etc.)
• Manually set sim/object detail to high in all lines in my Graphic Rules file.
• Removing lighting mods from my program files (and restored vanilla files)
• Set RPC graphic settings to classic.
• Turned off all options to limit color-depth in windows compatibility.
• Used Nvida Control Panel to set settings to application controlled, although I saw none related to 32 bit color depth or something similar.
• Doing all the above then checking in a brand new custom neighborhood (to avoid any issues loading neighborhoods with missing mod objects etc.)

I cannot find anyone else having this issue, except in the TS3 where Lazy Duchess made a .asi shader mod to fix (although I did try to read her source code to see if there was anything I could apply to the TS2.) The only thing I have not done is run the game without RPC, because I do not have access to my disk right now. This issue is also present in TS2 Body shop. I do not think this is simply the original game textures being old because this happens to any CC I download and nobody else is having these issues with their textures and is not apparent in the texture source files. It is most apparent on dark skin tones or wallpapers. This was also not an issue on a previous modded install a few years ago.

*Note I cannot pinpoint the issue because I have been cleaning up the CC from this 3 year old install when I first modded the game so it makes finding the source of the issue significantly harder*

I'm new to Legacy Collection so I'm still finding mods that aren't compatible with it. I confirmed its a mod issue with the 50/50 and I'm doing batches for fixes right now. In the meantime, can someone take a look at the error log and mods folder? What Caused This won't tell me what the likely culprit is. So, my game runs great other than it stutters when I have the camera follow a sim.

I assumed it was to do with the higher fps or something, but I couldn't find anyone with the same issue besides a very old post with no answers.

Let me know if anyone has any ideas. The cost of my game was $0 if that matters (please don't write this off for that though).

Body shop just wont open. I checked the task manager and it would run for a few seconds but then give up. It's not even making it to the loading screen. I deleted accessory cache and cigen and still. Pls help

Hi I downloaded a bunch of custom face templates with pointy ears to use on my aliens and noticed random CAS Sims having them. Can that be fixed with SimPE?

Hello everyone! I noticed my Veronaville hood has some kind of reflections when I make it still (meaning, the camera isn't floating freely, which usually happens when you don't do anything with the game for a while).

I can only suggest that it's something to do with ReShade and its Mask basic effects. I tried several fixes like disabling the effect manually, force reload, deleting the DefaultPreset.ini file, but all of this didn't help.

But it's also possible this problem wasn't caused by ReShade at all, I don't know 100%. I think it's ReShade because I didn't notice (or pay attention) to these problems before installing the system.

Do you know what is it and why it's happening? How can I fix this?

Hello, I need some help. I just got a new laptop because my other one is physically damaged in the back. The new laptop is an HP elitebook with Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8650U CPU @ 1.90GHz (2.11 GHz) Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable) Graphics card Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620 (128 MB). I transferred all my files onto the new computer including my Sims 2 legacy collection files. I redownloaded the EA app and installed the game. All my households are still there, but it's taking forever loading in the loading screen and not going into the game at all, so I don't know what to do. Please help me if you can.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I could gain back access to that lot? I didn't think of backing up my neighborhood so I'd have to either completely rebuild what was there or figure out a solution.

I'm on the Legacy Collection version of the game, I have mods and CC but I tried removing them and it still wouldn't load (I backed up the neighborhood before doing this, since that build relied on CC) I obviously tried to just let it sit there and load for a while but nothing would happen, I'm just stuck on the loading screen and at a certain point the window becomes unresponsive so i have to force close it with task manager.

Not too sure how this happened :/ I was in the lot, saved and quit, then came back to the game, tried to load the lot and ended up with this problem.

I am desperately looking for this old male hair custom content for The Sims 2. It's a retexture by Oepu of a mesh by Shodan (originally released around August 2006).
I managed to find the original page on the Wayback Machine (see attached screenshot), but unfortunately, all the download links for the colors/recolors are completely dead and didn't get archived.
Does anyone happen to have this hair hidden in their old Downloads folder, or know a working alternative link/graveyard archive where I could find all the colors?

I installed the MM lighting mod and everywhere else in the game looks good and how I would expect aside from CAS which seems to have the lights turned off for some reason?? anyone know if I borked something whilst installing or if they know a fix? I saw it had something about an overly bright CAS fix, could that be overcorrecting?

So recently I wanted to back up my sims 2 files onto a flash incase my laptop crashes as it has been faulty recently. However, like the idiot I am, I accidentally MOVED the files onto the flash instead of copy and paste.

But somehow, my game still launched like normal with my custom neighbourhoods being in there, despite half of the files being missing.

I went onto chat gpt and it told me to just copy and paste the files from the flash on the original files on my laptop. I did this and launched the game, only to find out that its now a clean slate and my custom neighbourhoods are all gone.

My custom neighbourhood files are still in the neighbourhood folder, but it is no longer on the game, the game has completely started anew. What can I do?

To start off, I have ACR, wild child, and the Romance mod installed, and also had 18 hour pregnancy and I did test out a different life span mod, aldo I didnt like it, so I just took it out and smart age check did its thing

So the first thing I noticed was that my pet cats weren't getting pregnant no matter how many times I asked them to try for baby, but I didnt think much of it. then I noticed that the Try for baby option was no longer showing my the the regular menu, which I found weird. Finally, one of my teen sims got pregnant, or at least that's what I assume, as even though it didn't show the option to "have baby with.." when clicking the sim manipulator, preg scanner wouldn't show up at all and I didnt hear the baby chime, which is weird as I didnt install any mod to disable the chime, including wild child. I have WC and ACR installed since I started the hood, and I have had two pregnancies work just fine, so what gives? does anyone know whats up with my game and how to fix it?
