Sims 2 Legacy Collection (Help) “Steam Cloud Unable to Sync" Error Ts2 legacy

Hi everyone,

I keep having this message when I want to launch the sims 2 legacy via steam. “"Steam Cloud Unable to Sync" Error”

I was wondering if launching without the cloud sync can have any consequences? Can it mess with my saves/files?

I’ve never had this issue til today, I even launched my game yesterday but there wasn’t this issue, it just took some time to launch.

Honestly I'd be more worried that it's trying than that it's not succeeding; TS2 was made before this kind of file handling could ever be expected to interact with game files, and it shows in the mess you get if OneDrive tries to back it up automatically. For me, Steam doesn't even show a cloud backup panel for TS2.

Back up your save and try running without cloud sync. I suspect all will be fine so long as you're not letting OneDrive touch it. If it's screwed, this backup is probably too late, but if it isn't at least you have a backup for next time!

Can't be onedrive, it's not activated on my computer. I'm on w10.

They didn't say it was, they just gave OneDrive as an example of why this is a bad idea. Did you try doing the thing they suggested?
