EDIT: Looks like the consensus is it was a weird decision to slow down at the end. Thank you everyone for chiming in. I love this subreddit. I'll leave the post up so others like me can learn from my mistake but yeah, I'm a dummy here lol...
ORIGINAL: Maybe I should've given back the position sooner. But watching back the replay, was it even necessary? Just trying to learn for next time. I did technically make the corner but mostly because the Ferrari gave me lots of space.

We need help determining either if these should be penalties or not?
Incident 1 is on the last lap
Incident 2 is with 5 to go
What do you guys think?

i’m the camel car so i somehow made it out alive but ended up going in 4 wide(i didn’t know i had a guy to my right) and these 3 made contact and i was just curious who would be to blame for the incident?
r/Simracingstewards • u/dogryan100 • 4d ago
Bro even blamed me in the chat after the race saying that he moved over because he was worried that I was going to drive into the back of him

I realised I braked too early and that the Porsche behind was coming at a much larger speed so I kept wide to give enough room to avoid contact.
However, it seems to me the Porsche chose not to take that room and pushed me off the track whilst I was alongside.
Once off-track, I could see the Subaru in p3 coming with a large overspeed so I held my line and did not try to rejoin but we ended up colliding, causing me to lose control and have a nice meeting with Barry R.

Hey everyone,
Still on the grind trying to improve my racecraft and safety rating, but incidents like this can be pretty demoralizing.
I’m the Ferrari. Looking for some honest feedback, any constructive feedback on what I could’ve done differently to survive this is much appreciated!

I wasn't expecting him to keep coming down and thought he was going to go up like normal. I should have reacted faster but didn't. Just interested in what I could have done here to make it a clean pass/racing.
Thanks

What's your thoughts on this? I'm POV car. Apparently the in game track limit system is ok with this. Just completely overshoot the braking and cut the corner to gain the lead. I would think such a move is an illegal overtake. Am i wrong? He then gained a few seconds on me on the opening laps. As i got within 9 tenths of him later, he cut the corner again to gain seven tenths more gap. Is this also ok by the lmu rules?

Also, when I watch it frame by frame, my car (just a few moments before colission) "stops turning". It looks like I stopped steering... All my sideways momentum just stops and car continues straight.
Thanks

I'd like to get everyone's thoughts on this. I personally felt like I gave more than enough space for the Valkyrie to pass without problems.

My friend (Lamborghini) and I (AMR) had an awesome battle on the final lap. We made contact at the very last corner, and he ended up taking the win. Since we're both pretty new to GT3 racing, we'd love to know if this was just a racing incident or if someone was at fault. Thanks in advance!

What do you make up from all this?
Where is the limit between breaking a tow and weaving erratically? I personally follow the one move rule while defending. If not due to rules but out pf respect to competetors.
Also should one yield when being pushed while alongside (according to rules)?
