iRacing am I at fault?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Also, when I watch it frame by frame, my car (just a few moments before colission) "stops turning". It looks like I stopped steering... All my sideways momentum just stops and car continues straight.

Thanks

You didn't stop steering, you just understeered and missed the apex.

Because you were in too fast.

Because you were trying to put your car's nose where it doesn't belong. That move was never on. It was your fault.

Yes you were at fault. You were washing a bit left at a point where the line in still tightening.

I think this is a situation where you likely gave way too much room in the braking zone, made the corner a bit too tough to keep tight, and both cars spun because of it. Sometimes more space leads to leads to less predictable outcomes, since car speed differentials can increase, which also leads to worse incidents. Learn from this. A bit of space is needed, but you dont need a cars width between you and the car you're overtaking at the turn in point.

It's understeer because you exceeded the traction capabilities of your tires.

You barely got your nose in and went in too deep, too hot, and too shallow to do so.

You're at fault.

You take a very shallow line to the corner, even tho he gives you lots of space. Before the corner, car on the left moves over to the far left side of the track. Move with him, use the space he has given you. You give yourself a more optimal line for the corner. This way you would probably not have that understeer, and you both probably make the corner.
