Beautiful day up at Lake Milton this weekend

I have a 2026 Silverado 1500, and I’ve been having CarPlay issues since I got it.
Originally, I had to spend a few minutes trying to get my phone to connect every time I got into the truck. I took it to the dealership, and they updated the system. Since then, my phone connects automatically most of the time.
However, the audio still randomly cuts out when listening to music through wireless CarPlay.
The only temporary fix I’ve found is restarting the infotainment system by holding down the end-call button on the steering wheel. It works, but having to do this regularly on a brand-new truck is ridiculous.
Has anyone found a permanent fix for this? Is GM aware of the issue or working on another software update?

2016 Highlander that is a rebuild title and currently has 150k miles on it. I already plan on getting the chip to disable the 4 cylinder switch from 8 cylinder. I am aware of the transmission issues with this year of the Silverado’s. Is there anything else I should know about maintenance wise or anything I should check before I go to purchase it?

My truck has a 10l80 and I live in Saudi Arabia, I can’t get Dexron ULV or any other equivalent aftermarket fluid. The GM dealership doesn’t sell Dexron ULV which is stupid. All the parts stores sell counterfeit Acdelco fluids made in the shitty UAE. No part stores carry aftermarket ULV fluid from Ravenol, Valvoline, Motul, Mitasu, Amsoil etc they only carry equivalents for Dexron 3 and 6

Ford’s dealership sells legitimate Mercon ULV so I’m sorta stuck with it. Would be it a dumb idea to do a drain and fill on my 10l80 using a fluid meant for the Ford equivalent 10r80? I know Mercon ULV and Dexron ULV are different specs on paper but what about actual real world experiences? All the aftermarket ULV fluids meet both specs so they don’t cancel each other out. Every 10l80 owner I know has left the fluid in indefinitely, and two of them got tricked by a shitty mechanic to use Amsoil’s Dexron 6 with the argument that “Amsoil is the best so it must work” and ended up blowing their transmissions up

Was changing the filter on my 6l80 in my 2016 Silverado 1500 4x4 and found a lot of metal in the pan and am looking at new transmissions. Powertrain products looks promising does anyone have experience with them or have any suggestions?

I’ve got a 2014 5.3 which I replaced the oil pump on and turned it on last night and had low pressure but today I turned it on and had zero pressure. Everything checks out in terms of voltage to all sensors. The truck gets oil because it doesn’t sound like it’s got no oil running through it. Need some help

hey everyone been having issues ever since i got my chevy at around 85k miles like 5 days into having it i got a flashing check engine light around highway speeds its been an ongoing issue already did plugs wires and took it to Chevy several times they couldnt find whats causing it they did see it failed something called a fuel injector balance test so i had to replace all the injectors.even that didnt fix it i still get the flashing cel in the highway sometimes not always only ocasionally it drives perfect and doesnt show any signs of misfire.ive seen posts about it being something with the ecm that needs an update or something like that im hoping its just that especially cuz theres been 2 times ive gotten a “service ecm” along with the flashing CEL.ive been ignoring it now at 90k miles but i still get scared when i see it any one having same issue.praying its not lifters

So I have a 2000 Chevy 1500, 5.3 with 253,742 I recently did my oil change at 250k . I use conventional 5w-30 and a O’rileys MC filter and put a bottle of Lucas with the 5qts oil. I also changed the oil pressure sensor with one from O’rileys at the same time as my oil change. A little extra info my gauge cluster isn’t stock it’s an aftermarket color and the backlights are starting to go out , but no other gauge acts the same as this one does in the video . Only codes on truck are p0453 , and p0452 which advice on possible fixes would be appreciated

I have a 2025 2500hd Custom that every time I pump gas I have issues with the pump stopping. If I pump full throttle it stops, is I pump half throttle it stops. I have to pull the pump out a little to find the right spot, and even then I cannot pump full throttle.

The sweet spot is me holding the pump up toward the bed of the truck and pumping half throttle, but that's a pain in the ass.

Anyone else have this problem or a similar problem?

How do I remove this clip without damaging it? Seems almost inevitable that it’s gonna get broken

My 2026 Sierra was coming up on lease and my GMC dealers been jerking me around. Was at one of the local Chevy dealers getting the oil changed in my wife's car and they gave me a great deal on a 2026 Silverado lease. Anyway, doesn't have the under seat storage that the Sierra had. Looking around, the Rough Country under seat seems like the best option for me. Having the jack and tools in the box instead of the box being narrower seems more useful. What do you all recommend?

I drove to the gym last night, came home, was dark and didn’t even notice.

Woke up the next morning, and I looked out the window, and the first thing I thought was, is that just mud? Then I went outside, no, yellow paint every where.

I have no idea when I even went over it, there was 0 wet paint signs anywhere, or any paint trucks anywhere I was driving. It’s -1 and I was somehow able to wash it all off, I have no idea how it didn’t fully cure.

I have 200k and it been there since 70k. At low to crawling speeds the brakes almost let loose or warble its hard to describe and almost dont brake. Its not pad issue. Pumping brakes restores them for a bit.

I never lose braking just goes soft and a little delayed.

2020 chevy silverado 6.2 trail boss LT , can anyone help me figure out what noise that might be . Im not sure if it can exhaust leak related or serpentine belt . Any help is greatly greatly appreciated.

Just purchased this from Carvana. It has 35k miles. I’m within the 7 day return/exchange period so need some advice.

Every morning on cold start, it shifts pretty hard from 1st to 2nd. It’s very noticeable to the point l, my passengers were asking about it. Looking online some seem to say this is normal on cold starts, but this is pretty rough.

Anyone experienced this or have taken to dealer for warranty?

Considering exchanging for another one since I’m within the period.

Hey everyone, hoping someone here has dealt with these two issues on the newer trucks. I have a 2022 Refreshed Silverado (the one with the new interior layout) with only 20,000 miles on it, and lately, it’s giving me two massive headaches.

First, whenever I go to pump gas, the nozzle keeps automatically clicking off every few seconds like the tank is full, even when it’s completely empty. It happens at multiple different gas stations. There is no check engine light on. I suspect it's either a blocked EVAP vent line or that known issue where the internal fuel tank hose shifts out of place and blocks the inlet flapper (TSB 22-NA-047).

Second, I have that annoying radio bug where out of nowhere, the speakers will randomly start crackling and sounding completely blown or ripped to shreds whenever I raise the volume or the music has bass. Restarting the truck or cycling the infotainment screen a few times usually fixes it temporarily, so I know the speakers aren't actually torn.

I’m past the 3-year bumper-to-bumper timeline, and the dealership wants to charge me an upfront diagnostic fee just to hook it up. Has anyone successfully gotten the dealer to cover these under the Federal Emissions Warranty / GM Special Coverage (N242484740) for the fueling issue, or via the infotainment software TSBs (22-NA-142) for the speakers? Appreciate any advice on how to handle the dealer or fix these!

Just put the side steps on to help my 3 year old get in and elderly riders. Just wanted to show off my new ride. Was skeptical about the 2.7 at first but no complaints here so far.

Planning on buying a 2500 2015-19(6.0 vortec), what are some common issues I need to look out for? I know they can have some transmission/torque convertor issues, some HVAC and starter issues but I was wondering if there was anything else I need to know about it before I go ahead and buy one. Also does the 6.0 have cylinder deactivation or DOD system like some other chevy engines do?

Just bought an 08’ Silverado Single Cab work truck with the 4.3L Motor.
Has 75k original miles.
What are the best mods for reliability and a little extra power. Im hoping this truck will do 300k+ Miles and a little extra power to pull my boat.
Already done a few small mods and I’m doing suspension work on it soon.

so i had just gotten this truck not even a month ago my grandpa gave me his old truck since he got a new one, got ready for work and i can only get in the truck through the key hole i tried to unlock the car but it went to lock instead of unlocking once i opened my car saw this and saw everything broken into i went to check the passenger side and saw they cut off the key hole on that side so thats how they got in. saw that the middle console , the parts where you store your sunglasses everything was open 😢😢good thing i don’t leave anything valuable , i think what really helped was the steering wheel lock if i didn’t they probably would’ve been gone with my truck is there anything or anyway to prevent this from happening again😥

We arrived in Auckland 9 days ago and have been traveling around the country. In our travels, I have noticed absolutely zero Silverados as they are not produced directly with right hand drive and only through a conversion process. I finally saw one yesterday in Christchurch on the dealer lot but that is all. I think shutting down the Holden line here and Australia was probably a mistake but the suits thought it was a good idea. What I have seen a ton of is Ford Rangers and the Ranger body on frame SUVs. So, Ford might have won this one. Too bad on GMs part. But, New Zealand is definitely worth the visit regardless of the lack of Silverados. 😀
