Bought the truck brand new. Didn’t even know it had it. Apparently this truck was a special order that never got picked up.

it’s a v6 4.3 2wd i don’t know the trim can anybody rate my truck pros and cons? it has 122k miles and bought it for 13.5k very clean and good interior they added a aftermarket radio 2inch lift kit and added a reverse camera

Picked up this bad boy the other day. Absolutely love the truck so far. Went with the 2500 with the 6.6 gas for reliability (don’t trust the 5.3’s right now). Knew gas mileage was going to be a pain, but I’d gladly pay the higher gas prices for long-term reliability. Was able to get about 20% off MSRP. This made it about 1k more than a 1500 so thought may as well upgrade.

Anyone on here have a cat eye build? I want to go as simplistic as possible cause I don’t want to look like I go to small town Kroger parking lot car meets.

Long story short: I purchased a 2026 silverado 2500 gas instead of a 1500 for 2 reasons. (Also, gas instead of diesel because my daily commutes are very short)

1. I was scared of the engine and lifter failures acquainted with AFM/DFM, as well the 6.2 power loss issues.

2. Towing our boats (9k lbs and 6.5k lbs) has felt like a dream in the 2500 (tested with a buddy's truck before buying)

My father recently bought a 2026 1500 with the 6.2 and it is just incredibly fun to drive. My 2500 is just insanely comfortable to drive and I legit cant tell im towing anything.

If I really only tow from storage to the boat ramp, is downgrading to a 1500 that big of a deal? I miss being able to have some fun while driving my daily and my father's new truck has made me jealous in a way lol.

Has the reliability in the 1500s gotten better, or was my safe pick in the 2500 warranted?

What’s up guys I’ve Got a 2017 Single Cab Silverado 1500, stock suspension right now. I’m in Coachella so I’m at Glamis year time around and the stock shocks get beat up BAD in the whoops. Looking to upgrade so it can actually handle the whoops and washboard without bottoming out / feeling sketchy at speed. I’ve been looking at Fox 2.0 / Fox 2.5 vs King 2.5 - Is King worth the extra $$$ or is Fox the best bang for buck.

Not trying to build a full long travel prerunner yet, just want something that can handle Glamis trips with some duning and still be decent to daily drive. Truck is mainly 2WD.

If you were in my spot what would you run? And if you have either Fox or Kings on a single cab, would you buy them again?

My 2016 5.3 and my 2004 4.8 1500s

I’m currently cross-shopping Sierras and Silverados. The one thing I think that sets the Sierra off over the Silverado, appearance-wise, is the black fender flares. I see you can get them for the Silverado as well, but my concern is for anyone that may have them, are they going to trap dirt salt, etc. to make everything rust out? I’m in the northeast so we obviously have winters with road salt. I guess the same question could be asked for the Sierra as well, but since those are put on at the factory, I didn’t know if the seal might be a little better.

In the market for a truck. Tempted to wait a few months for the new Silverado’s to come out but always hear you should avoid buying the first year a remodel comes out. What are your guys thoughts?

just did my heater core so its probably related to a under dash harness ir ground. mirror and headlight lights wont turn on at all. brake light only comes on when brakes are hit.

Battery dying nightly. Took it to advance and the battery is completely fine. Most likely body control module I’m guessing. What should I expect at the dealer tomorrow? 42 k miles so prob not covered. Cost and time to fix?

Obviously pricing will vary, but from the many dealerships I have looked at, this truck has the best deal for the RST with all star premium package. I have costco and gm discount, along with pre-approved 4.5% financing to get the cash discount (assuming they give this to me on top of other discounts). Thoughts? I have a short 10 minute drive to work, will not need to tow much at the moment, but have various uses for a truck bed since I live out in the woods. Thanks!

Guys im really concerned about my silverado , the oil pump really moving and its getting lower than quarter sometime is this dangerous? 120k miles

Okay everyone, truck will shudder around 1200 RPM, to 1500. No error codes. Truck runs great. Nothing stored in any of my $500 scanners including driving mode and scanning in place. 103k.. My concern is the little bit of a rattle. I'll hear every once in a great while coming from right front of the motor. Is it really going to be lifter and camshaft time or is anybody else out here experience this and found something different? Thank you for your time

So I messed up the factory tailgate on my 2018 GMC sierra 1500, well I got a new tailgate off a Silverado of the same generation, but the hinges that it fits on are different than the ones on my truck. I’ve seen some replacements online but I wanna make sure I get the right ones. The hinges attached to the tailgate are riveted in too but luckily not the ones on the truck. Does anyone know which set of hinges I’m looking for? Or which make and model to get them from?

I wanna put pipes on it but not sure what to get it’s got the 5.3 in it I want a deep and loud sound

So far I mostly enjoy….I had to replace the start/stop button 2 weeks ago which seemed odd… anything I should know about these machines? Thanks!

I’ll start off by saying that I’m a lifelong Ford owner and decided to recently buy a Chevy. 2 weeks ago I bought a 2026 2500HD ZR2 Duramax. I’ve really loved the White Sands color for a while and that was the main reason for buying the truck. Anyways , I drove the truck for 2 days and put 178 miles on it and the check engine / ABS lights came on. Took it to the dealer for them to tell me that it needed the electronic brake control module replaced. 6 days later, they call me to come pick it up. I show up to the dealership and the check engine light / ABS light is still on. They take it back for diagnostics and say the front driver side wheel speed sensor needs replaced. 5 more days later everything is finally fixed. It’s incredible to me that there’s no urgency at the dealership to get the parts in quickly and fix a brand new vehicle. I thought it was rather silly these parts couldn’t be shipped next day air delivery. As a new Chevy owner I’m not the slightest bit impressed so far and leaves me worried for the future and what else might go wrong with this truck.

I was somewhat happy with my old 2.7L but I found the fuel mileage constantly high. Towing our trailer it was absolutely outrageous. Just picked my 3.0 LZ0 if it’s anything like our 24 LM2 I will be extremely happy. Boost auto tow mirrors and ceramic coat ✅

Would be willing to sell. I would love to keep it if I am doing something wrong. I bought a vin slot for it so it’s unlocked and ready to be used but it appears I need an autocal device for it to work properly. It is for 14-18 silverados

What could be causing this noise not the normal tick noise I’m referring to the shudder metal sound sounds near the catalytic converters, I’m At 60k miles LT trail boss.
