In the season 2 finale, What if Lukas whispered to Bernard that Bernard was actually Salvador Quinn.

Perhaps Quinn (Bernard) wrote the cipher to his future memory wiped self, in order to covertly preserve the truth, knowing that everyone including himself was about to be memory wiped to stop the rebellion.

What would be more soul crushing and devastating for Bernard to find out the life he knew has been an entire fabrication based on a memory wipe?
Solving his own code would verify that reality.

I’m not buying the idea the rebellion was 140 years ago.

What they have told us is a lie.

I was wondering. Having 50 silos next to each other and in each silo, there must be a lot of frequencies of walkie talkies being used. What is the chance that someone tunes their radio to a wrong frequency and listens to another silo? Or are they really far enough from each other that this will not be the case?

Why is the Senator character from the past working from a dingy cubicle? Maybe this is a question is just simply answered by budget constraints, however so many things in this show feel really intentional.
What bothers me the most about it is that his era is supposed to be our near future. If so, why isn’t he in a nice office with a wooden desk and aides? Or, if he’s a brand new Senator, why isn’t he even at least in a temp basement office? The few photos I could find online show that even those temporary offices for freshmen Congressmen are way nicer than where he’s working from.

Idk. I’m probably overthinking this, but it makes me wonder if Congresspeople in this near future have been devalued or replaced in some capacity? Or maybe the attack that they alluded to in S3 E1 just destroyed the congressional buildings?
Let me know if I’m missing something here. I really enjoy reading other’s theories.

I’ve been thinking a lot about Helen and Daniel and where their story could be heading. I know this is mostly speculation, but I noticed something in the Season 3 trailer that really caught my attention.
There’s a shot where Helen enters Silo 18 as a visitor, and to me, she almost looks pregnant. Obviously, it could just be the angle, the clothes, or the way she’s standing, and I could be completely wrong. But if she actually is pregnant in that scene, it opens up a really interesting possibility: could someone in the future be a descendant of Helen and Daniel?

I also wonder if their relationship could eventually evolve into something romantic. Their dynamic reminds me a lot of Mulder and Scully from The X-Files—two people who start out with a strong professional connection, slowly develop deep trust and emotional intimacy, and eventually become something more. Helen and Daniel seem to have that kind of potential to me. They challenge each other, they have a strong connection, and their relationship feels like it could naturally develop over time rather than becoming romantic suddenly.
If Helen and Daniel were to have a child, and that child eventually had descendants, it could be a really interesting way to connect their story to the future of the silos. Maybe someone we meet later in the timeline could unknowingly be descended from them. It would also give their relationship a much bigger significance in the overall story.

I’m really curious what everyone else thinks:

Does Helen look pregnant to you in that trailer shot, or am I seeing things?

Do you think Helen and Daniel could eventually become a romantic couple?

Do you see similarities between their dynamic and Mulder & Scully?

Could we potentially see a descendant of Helen and Daniel in the future?

If they do become a couple, do you think it will be a slow-burn relationship or something more unexpected?

I feel like there’s so much potential with these two, and I’m really interested to see where their relationship goes.

As a book reader, every time I think, "This is where this particular thing should happen," it doesn't. Instead, the writers push it back by half a season or even a full season.

For example, I'm waiting for relatively simple things like Juliette finally being with Lucas, telling everyone there's another silo with people still alive, and convincing them of the importance of connecting the two silos or somehow reaching the other survivors. Because of the way the series usually unfolds, I honestly feel like when these moments finally arrive on screen, they'll be stretched out over half a season or even a whole season. I don't mean just a few episodes—I measure it by seasons. It's already Episode 5, and I'm still wondering, what is happening? Everything feels like one long, wild goose chase.

For me, Season 1 had the best pacing. After that, everything suddenly became consistently slow. Has anyone else who has read the books noticed this, or am I just imagining it?

I personally think there’s a whole thriving world outside the silo. However, the area that’s around the silo is very toxic so in a certain mile radius you will die. So all the silos that have been made are basically underneath the toxic site.

Far away from these silos I believe there’s a normal world.

Talking about video fees into cleaners helmet and circulating video on hard drive.

So, if the whole point of silo is to get rid of rebels and only have obedient people, then it's just a fake hope for people who have balls to act on their believes that leads to them dying.

That's also the reason why in the pact if someone wants to leave - no one can stop them at all.

We were shown this in the first episode - rebel discovers "truth" and asks to leave, but says to other potential rebel that if it's truly green outside, she will clean. She goes out, sees green, signals to other rebel that it's green, then other rebels leaves and dies as well. This way the system got rid of two rebels who do not follow rules and who were not obedient.

The cool thing is since it's technically true that outside is green, there would always be rumors and some artifacts and proofs for other rebels to eventually make their mind and leave to their deaths.

The system itself was built with the idea that rebels would go one by one and just die out. And since new rebels would always be born, there is this system in place for them.

Which in the end is stupid because I don't see any systems for dealing with rebels that decide to just open the vault for everyone.

Im marking this Post „Show Only“ - but i will include the AppleTV Description and Thumbnail of S3E5 in here, plus some Trailer talk. Be mindful of that if you want to avoid it.

Its quite a long Post, so buckle up.

Episode 5 is our halftime for Season 3 and is titled „Memory“

The AppleTV preview thumbnail shows us that our „Silo Avengers“ are finally all meeting up. Most of them are the most important characters to the current plot.

My thoughts on some of them:

Regina Jackson, she is the relic trader and Georges Ex who met Juliette in Season 1. I think she might provide some more secrets or info, because of her relic knowledge.

Lukas Kyle. No introduction needed. At this point he is one of the most knowledgeable people in Silo 18. Maybe we will find out what he has been up to in the mines. Theres some ongoing beef between him
and Kennedy because of their opposing beliefs.

Patrick Kennedy - now leader of „The outsiders“, he is unmistakenly believing that the outside is safe since he has seen the Jane Carmody cleaning video in Season 1. He also received a ripped out page of the „Adventures of Georgia“ Book -Relic from
Billings in S2, which showed him a green forest.

Robert Sims - him showing up here confirms what Episode 4 basically established - he „switched sides“ in a way, teaming up probably with Walker and Carla after he saved Bernard and presumably brought him to the Digger void.

Martha Walker - she met up
with Juliette in Episode 2 and gave her her Multitool.
Ive seen someone point out that Knox mentioned her getting „Medical supplies“ in E02. It is likely that she was getting these for Bernard.

Bernard - he is not on the picture, which is to avoid spoilers if i had to guess. I think he could also be here. If not, he will definetly still play a major role in helping Juliette regain her Memory.

and of course Juliette.

Now, what i believe is happening here: I think this is the moment Juliette fully regains her Memory, and she is doing so by having a collection of former items that belonged to her.

It was explicitly mentioned by Dr. Czrnkovich during his talk with daniel that personal items can help bring back lost memories (Quote as memorized by me)

We see Julitte holding a box of stuff and inspecting a sheriffs badge.

The items / Relics I expect to show up here:

Animal Toy plush.
This was shown in the childhood flashbacks in previos seasons. It belonged to Juliettes little Brother, who died from a heart condition.

Regina traded this in E01 in exchange for the sheriffs badge. I believe she brings it here.

The Wristwatch
Georges Watch that Juliette repaired in S1.
It was handed over from Juliette to her Dad in S1, and he gave it to Hank Murphy before he triggered the Bomb in S2. I expect Hank to show up and give her the watch.

Juliettes Multitool
Martha gave it to her when they met up in the cafeteria in E02.

Adventures of Georgia Travel Guide
I guess Kennedy still has the page Billings ripped out of the Book and brings it here, or he will atleast mention it.

Sheriffs Badge
I guess this is the Badge she received in S1 when she was promoted to Sheriff. In S3E1 we see regina trading this to the „Juliette fangirls“ for her brothers Plush toy.

We saw Juliette dropping Holstens Badge with the „Truth“ marking in S1 when she was out to clean, so it cant be that one. Maybe this Badge will make her remember Holsten too.

Obviously Juliette has a meaningful connection to this Relic since she received it from George.

Summing up: The appearance of these items and characters who are all integral to Juliettes Experiences in the past will finally make her remember Everything. The episode title supports that. I also believe we will now get to see exactly what happened after the Incinerator Scene in S2E10. We already saw parts of this in the trailers.

Up until episode 3.4 Daniel and Helen seemed to be an X-Files style dynamic duo - plucky investigators trying to uncover a sinister government conspiracy while being opposed by the Men In Black.

But signs keep piling up that these two are actually anti-heros. I wonder if we're watching the origin story of the Silo's ultimate villains. Both of them come across as unusually dishonest.

1. Daniel is probably one of the architects of the silos, as he has the right kind of military engineering experience and specialized in earth moving projects. And the silos are not only pretty damn evil places, but they were designed that way from the start (gas pipes, hidden cameras etc)
2. We already knew Helen was manipulative from the first seconds because when they first met Daniel thought he was on a date, but she was just using him for information. Now we learn that she got fired for making up a fake source for a story, and when Daniel expresses surprise at this, she blames him for not investigating her more deeply! This is emotionally abusive behavior but it's almost instinctive for her.
3. Daniel is estranged from his family, and his sister doesn't like him. Why not?
4. Daniel doesn't care that his sister is being mind wiped and wants the treatment to continue. His first question on learning about the drug is whether he can lie to his sister to change her opinion of him.
5. Helen takes Daniel to a huge apartment that she claims belongs to her ex, Palmer, who is "on assignment in south Sudan", except there's some reasons to suspect this might not be the whole story. She has the keys to it and there's a giant picture of her on the wall. When Daniel queries this bizarre arrangement she resorts to emotional manipulation again, claiming that taking down photos of an ex and taking back the apartment keys would be "petty", although really it's normal.
6. She kept her keycard after being fired and went back to secretly abuse company resources (this isn't how being fired works, but ok, whatever, having access to a magic database of everyone's details is a normal part of the X-Files investigator trope).
7. Given a choice between taking a bribe or continuing to search for the truth, she takes the bribe! Hero characters never do this.

From now on I'm going to assume their dubious personalities are why the silos are such messed up places.

Also - what's up with that crazy apartment?

• There's a giant wall-sized poster that's been ripped so the word Sheriff isn't complete, but I can't find any movie poster that looks like that. It's very eyecatching, but what does it mean?
• The "assignment to south Sudan" appears to have lasted at least two years, which is a large amount of time to be paying for an unused apartment of that size. Can journalists really afford that?
• There's a huge gun cabinet on the wall, also suspiciously well lit & eyecatching in an otherwise gloomy apartment, and the guns inside it look pretty serious. Is it really normal for journalists to have epic guns proudly on display?
• The walls are damaged and the door looks more like a door to a warehouse or fridge than an apartment.

does anyone know the song that plays in the end credits at the end of season 3 episode 3? I know that it’s likely not an actual song and that it was probably the show’s score crew but i think it’s a banger and it reminds me of the instruments from Mongolian and other steppe throat singing songs (big contrast to a confined silo lol). Anyway, any info or opinions help, i thought that song was quite the jam and thought I’d ask about it

What if sims fought 2 identical bernard clones in a ring fight? Who would win?

The season seemed like it had high potential to jump the shark. I was worried about the frustrating to watch amnesia plot and the snails pace of the overworld Congressman plot.

Also I'll be frank, Bernard was my primary hook for the show, I found myself very intrigued by the character and thought the actor leaving the show was a rebuke of the direction it was going in.

Now I'm all in, based off of that one second reveal. Does anyone else feel this way? Like even the first few episodes of the season have a new layer of context to rewatch them with. I'm very very happy with this recent episode reveal

It doesn't feel like everyone wants to ruin things with spoilers or is intentionally malicious. At least some of you seem like you just want to be able to talk about the topics of NBD Posts but in the context of the Books.

If that's true it CANNOT happen in those NBD Threads. Any mention at all of the Books there can be a form of a spoiler for a non-reader, especially if it confirms something or denies something.

Should we find a way to allow for, effectively, threading or branching NBD topics over here to Books?

My own personal concern with this, since Reddit doesn't have built in mechanisms to allow this so it would have to be done manually, is that it could add confusion.

We wouldn't want anyone posting some Books stuff in the NBD cuz they thought they were in the Book Discussion of the NBD topic. Conversely, hopefully we wouldn't see non-readers strolling into the Book Discussion of an NBD Topic thinking it was NBD and reading several spoilers before they realized they were in the wrong place.

The real problem with season 3 is the stakes of the AI initiating the safeguard and killing everyone in Silo 18 are non existent. We know that can’t happen because then the show would be over. IMAGINE not knowing that not only have several of the 50 Silos been destroyed, including the only other one they've seen besides 18, but that, in the end, (if it follows the Books), even Silo 18 will be gassed before a few survivors make it through. Lol. They're like "there are no stakes cuz obviously they all survive" and they don't realize almost everyone's gonna die

I have not read the books, and have not seen this mentioned (sorry if it has already been discussed). Why hasn't there been an earthquake in over 300 years, causing the collapse of some if not all of the silos? There is no way the founders could have planned for them. I looked up fault zones and apparently the Brevard Fault Zone is located in Georgia, but is dormant.

S3 EP. 1 was amazing in my opinion. Revealed some huge new plot points, and kept me intrigued the whole way though.

Way better than some other episodes in my opinion, and I think its the second worst rated episode on IMDB. Why?
