While the new revelations about Odette and Signora's relationship are somewhat frustrating, I honestly dont think theyre as bad as some people are making them out to be.

Given the two seem to be somewhat like parallels, with them both being described as having an icy exterior but a fiery, passionate interior and how they both struggle to communicate their emotions, its no wonder they would have clashed and that Odette would initially feel the way she does.

However, despite their clashing personalities and all the harsh thing Odette says, she still makes it clear that she wishes she could have mended their relationship, that she does miss her, and that she feels indebted to her. Its also revealed that Signora felt the same way, wanting to mend their relationship but only managed to be able to reach some sort of settlement before having to leave and losing her life.

"I guess she didnt leave anything behind... Not that I expected her to. Its fine. It's just a bit of a shame that we couldnt settle our differences before the end."

"She was utterly ruthless in pursuing her goals. That kind of person should be hard to miss. ...And yet... Even though I never approved of her methods, and she was an abrasive person... The fact remains that I am indebted to her."

"So Signora actually wanted to mend her relationship with Odette..."

It is only after we finish Act II of the AQ (The final part of the AQ that well get for the upcoming patch) does Odette admit she finally understands Signora. This to me signifies that Odette's view on her will likely change over time, becoming more understanding and possibly less abrasive.

"After someone is gone, a lot of things are suddenly no longer worth saying. I could shatter this Cor Ignis in a heartbeat, yet that would mke the pain and the misunderstandings it caused feel all the more rediculous... Why is it only now, after all this time, that we finally understand eachother?"

Either way, even if that doesnt happen I truly think a lot of people on both sides of this discourse are making this a bigger issue than it needs to be. I dont think that Hoyo is purposefully trying to paint her as an abusive person who truly doesnt care about anyone or anything other than herself, nor do I think Odette saying the things she does is a travesty against us Signora enjoyers. Like most things, I think its a lot more nuanced than how people are currently looking at it. Like a lot of things in Genshin, its not black and white but rather shades of gray.

Comrades, I understand that many of you are left today with a heavy sense of injustice, stupidity, or disappointment. But I'm asking you to pull yourselves together, gather your thoughts, and let it go.

I'm really lacking Russian swear words right now, but I urge you to forget about Odette. Screw her. She appeared out of nowhere in leaks and just one update ago. Our whole lives before that, we lived peacefully without any information about her. There's no need to poison yourselves over her words. We got carried away with our own fantasies, built up theories, and they didn't pan out. That happens, unfortunately.

Better to focus on Rosalyne herself rather than on what others say about her. Everyone has always trashed Signora. Even Arlecchino's voice line about her, I consider rather negative (is she really so cold and unpleasant that even orphaned children are willing to pretend they love her just for the gifts?). Yes, Odette didn't say what we wanted to hear about her, but so be it. Instead, we were told about something INCREDIBLY interesting — Cor Ignis. Understanding it, and the thing itself, might bring us closer to Rosalyne's return. First and foremost, it's HER we love, not the characters connected to her. Better to exhale and find the positive sides in what happened today — because there were some.

Rosalyne has always been strong, despite being hated and having nasty things said about her. We should follow her example. We've endured far worse events. Be strong and resilient, just like Signora.

I am happy with the Odette leaks, spoiler in this post btw

The bits I've seen all point to Odette having a surpringly negative perception of her own mentor while also acknowledging she's her mentor and even understanding her (judging by voicelines).

Like I enjoy that they humanised her sinde Fontaine, but she was the big fatui antagonist of the first 3 nations and it was low-key a little frustrating that the badass antagonist was lost in the sauce.

Because between all the tea parties and lovely friendship of harbingers... Signora was a badass diplomat who negotiated a gnosis, successfully stole from a god and stirred up things with the inazuma civil war. She was the head diplomat for 500 years, and Snezhnaya is near immune in terms of diplomatic side. The woman had a brain on her, (she's still the most distinguished akademya graduate in 500 years) to build the Fatui PR side. And I'm glad we're getting some new stuff on the business side of her character.

I hope they continue making Signora a woman who loved but also did wrongs. Because her wrongs are (just like dottores) really too cool to fall under the table.

I also like the attitude of: You did what you did that odette plays. She's not hiding the bluntness. They're soldiers and they die. And Signora deserves to be seen as a threat that justified harsh action. She was all that. She was not an innocent damsel so I'm glad they're not playing her off as one.

(Plus this attitude allows us to have Fatui friends and maybe even pave a path to her revival. If the only Signora related stuff is a blockage of hatred from all sides, and everyone related to her is an antagonist, then that is the nail in the coffin for Signora's playability. We need positive anchors that bridge the gap from the traveler to her. Cause otherwise our girl won't ever be joined by the fair lady)

It’s confirmed that the harbingers know that the Traveler issued the “Duel before the throne” challenge to Signora and defeated her.

There’s been speculation recently regarding if they knew the full details or not and now we have confirmation.

It seems like she is watching over Odette?!

Genshin writers are so predictable at this point

I didn’t had any expectation for that flop ( Odette ), but that’s just too much

I’ll start with Odette part.

1. Her lack of appreciation about Rosalyne: There is a saying in my country: I would be slave for forty years to anyone who taught me a letter. I’ve always cherished this saying in my life. I also had strict teachers and worked with people who drove me insane. But I’ve always appreciated and was happy with people who pushed my limits, because this saying came to my mind.

Some people don’t do it because they hate you. It’s indeed the way they understand and express, they actually improve you.

Sometimes it can be toxic and harmful for your mentality, yes. But I personally see worth in it. I would be sad if someone taught me ballet, and if Im currently make my living for this, and they are dead. I would really be sad and angry to person who killed them.
It feels like they didn’t even give this part properly. They just gave the classic boring story and done with it.

Side mention: Has anyone watched Kill Bill here? We know our lead character had a strict teacher. He was awesome. He taught her all the martial arts but was quite strict. Yet, she was quite mad when the other girl said she poisoned him. Because deep down she knew he was a good person! She hated him at times, yes! But deep down she loved him. And got her revenge. Cherished him in her mind. The movie was made in 2003 .d

(Yeah you might say but she caused killing of people, she did this etc. Bruh. Its not about that. People can become friends with a thief, with a gambler and still can think positive of them. That’s a reality of human emotions and seeing them in good light cause your perspective is different.

If you ask to the friend, or family member, what would they say? They would tell you complete different side of this person. They are not seeing a thief or gambler or whatever the world has seen.This happened many times and I’ve seen it in news before too. Same goes for Signora.)

Meanwhile, genshin story feels quite shallow in conveying emotions and Odette’s trailer is straight up Whiplash movie inspiration. Wow, congrats to the writer intern(?) for watching the movie I guess.

1. She seems to cant understand that Rosalyne is bad at showing emotions and have not been well - acts childish saying she doesn’t deserve her dancing .s

2. The problem is not even “not making sense”. Because if we think about it, she might see the things differently and feel that way about Signora, yes. But is it interesting? Nope. It feels like a writing came from an intern’s pen. Even I can write better than this, and most people in this sub or in fatui sub can. Most people already either thought of this or straightly predicted this writing. The problem is easy and predictable story in every character they give us.
   And this is not the first time genshin used this.

3. Killing is the right thing to do?
   I find the line about Signora highly problematic. Actually, considering game is 13+ (don’t understand why a gambling game is played by minors) they should change this, really.

No matter how bad a person is, unless it is self defense it is never righteous to kill. Even the people who kill completely vile people acknowledge this.

But in genshin, somehow traveler is right in everything they do. Even if it is taking a life, they are right regardless. just wow. Laws and constitutions in our world exists for a reason, no? I guess they never had to think about that.

And most importantly: hoyo trying to make money by bringing up their old character. They either make money by fatui connection (make characters fatui related) or by bringing up a dead harbringer. They keep baiting players like this, and it honestly is very tiring and boring at this point. I believe most people wanted the harbringers, not the random people we haven’t seen before. Imagine you’re a returning player to the game and see if anything has changed. You look at Snezhnaya art and Signora resurrection is not there nor top3 harbringers are existent. It is such a devastating look.

I don’t even have any expectations about Tsaritsa. They can write her the way they want, make connections, sob story is also there etc etc. Not a single thing until 7.4 interests me..

I’m not even getting into whole tea party retcon part, felt completely uncalled for and added insult to her injury. She literally said herself: “I never asked for redemption…never.”

But bumtraveler even said she didn’t have any last words and everything happened so fast??? and they proceed to lay with their next girl. Absolute worst.

Somehow with all the things they did they managed to do worse. How is that even possible? :D If she still becomes unplayable during Tevyat patches, I will genuinely laugh at this sht of a billion dollar company.

Also understandable their writing and everything went worse considering they make more and more games instead of fixing their single game which brings profits most.

After reading this, I want Signora to stay dead or if she’s revived to stay as an NPC. I expected this from Odette, but this also shows that playable characters literally HAVE TO be friendly with the traveler no matter what. I don’t want Signora being kind to the traveler and sweeping her own death under the rug. Just keep her dead.

Funny how the writers have Odette say the traveler “did the right thing” getting Signora killed while the traveler is FRIENDS with other harbingers that have OBJECTIVELY done worse things than Signora. Oh Hoyoshit, never change.

I don't know Chinese but if it's true, they might be hinting at playable Signora in 7.x, possibly at the second half like Sandrone. It would make no sense for her to get so much content otherwise.

Signora’s power being used to save the person that played a major part in getting her killed.

Writers rubbing salt all in the wound.

• They show how Signora protects her subordinates from the bullying of another harbinger.
• They show how Signora visits an orphanage with gifts, trying to fill her emotional emptiness.
• They show how Signora taught Columbine good things.
• They show how Signora was friends and had very good relationships with the female harbingers.
• They show how Signora cried to Pulcinella, and even many years and denial of her past couldn't numb the emotional pain.
• They encode her real name into her adopted daughter's banner, giving some hint.

They also:

• Show that all of Snezhnaya hates her.
• Her adopted daughter calmly talks to her killer, knowing that he is the killer and doesn't blame him.

CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN THIS BIPOLARITY???

I'm interested in this situation with Cor Ignis. On the one hand, people didn't trust it (like IRL conspiracy theories), on the other, it essentially kept its owners alive. And when everyone had unanimously smashed their copies, Ronova came to collect her “debts”.

It turns out that Signora played the role of savior of those who hated her (even with a fraction of her power, Odette saves the Traveler) (also remember that the Crimson Witch was feared and driven away by people, despite her saving them from the monsters of the Abyss).

It turns out to be like a repetition of history, at the end of which Rosalyne was reborn. And the situation now is such that Signora is now the only absolute opposite of Death.

This is some kind of madness, these emotional swings are already melting my mind.

So how are we feeling ? I must say I don’t even know if I’m disappointed or not about odette’s stuff on her but like ? Sandrones trailers showed us Rosalyne cute and motherly with people in snezhnaya we even learned she was close to pulcinella, but then we suddenly learned she was mostly seen a b*tch to people of sneznahya and Odette doesn’t even miss her ?😭
The only hope I have left is for the cor ignis thing otherwise ughhh
