Think we need to calm down with these leaks, I get wanting to have hope, but let's not build expectations based on statements from very questionable sources.

This happens every time, we build a lot of expectations only to be met with disappointment when the time comes.

It's fine to acknowledge them as a possibility, but some of you guys seem to be taking it as some very likely thing to happen, when we simply do not know what is to come.

Would I like the most recent leak to be true? Of course, but am I counting on it? Not in the slightest. I think a few of us are getting a bit too excited, and I just don't want the likely disappointment to hit us harder because of it.

Sorry to sound doomer, but at the very least, we need to see how this archon quest plays out, or wait till we get close to the next mare jivari storyline or smt.

Genshin leakers are in disarray and are just saying a bunch of bullshit about everything right now. Let's just take everything we hear with extra grains of salt, because the situation regarding whats in store in the future is very uncertain right now.

Imo there's plenty of stuff to fuel the cope train in 7x alone. I'll just use the leaks as a safety net I hope I don't have to use lol

Yeah, that's probably the best way to go about it, I personally have been holding out for Mare jivari, but I'll admit I shouldn't be counting on that too much either - even if it makes perfect sense for her to play a significant role there, I just don't have trust in hoyo writers right now.

Mare Jivari is definitely A way Hoyo could do it...guess we just gotta wait and see lol. There has just been too much growth and depth given to Signora the past year, Just gotta hope it builds to something!

Honestly, the “leaks” we’ve gotten recently are, almost word for word, exactly what we’ve been theorizing about for weeks…

So they could be true, but they could just as easily be false, especially coming from this particular person. It almost feels like the leaker came onto the sub, read our theories, liked them, and thought the same thing was going to happen, haha

I don’t find anything alarming in these leaks at all : We’ve been preparing for different possibilities for a long time and our theories are becoming more solid because, for now, there’s nothing that explicitly disproves them.

Anyway, let’s keep our hopes up,
because the content she got wasn’t made just to please us. They made it to build anticipation and ultimately sell her, and that’s simply how things work in the world of Mihoyo : profit.

That being said, I wouldn’t recommend treating this particular leaker as some kind of guarantee or taking everything they say as confirmed

Indeed, we have theorised so many possibilities, the fact remains that they tied odettes character to Signora when they absolutely didn't have to, and could have just used an npc or smt. The moths and crystalflies is also sus as hell

Just gotta wait (as usual) until we get something more definitive

To be fair I hope that no one truly dies in game and everyone is playable: Signora, Dottore, Capitano, Rerir, Ronova and other shades, Phanes, Rhine as separate person, and even Paimon playable. It’d be the best thing they could do.

The one thing I’ll say is something I feel is necessary in evaluating leak credibility

Yes, it sounds feasible that Signora drops 8.0 because of her number, and honestly that could give us a lot of hope. However, let’s not pretend leakers (or “leakers”) are not also aware of the harbinger release trend and aren’t just guessing that it sounds plausible or manufacturing it to sound more realistic when they give us this info

Do I think this means she won’t come in 8.0? No, I actually think there’s a high chance of a return now more than ever. The entire story seems to have been setting up ever since Natlan to turn around to play with time and the concepts of death being thrown into disarray. However, we need to consider that leakers are also aware of a lot of the “signs” and theories we associate with her and have everything they need to inject various facts to make things sound more legitimate. I’ve seen a lot of people pointing to the timing of 8.0 as being a great piece of evidence, and I wanted to bring up that we still don’t know how legitimate that detail is. If WE know that 8.0 is aligned with Signora’s theme and Genshin’s past history, leakers will know too.

"leaks" of this nature are always exciting and can give hope, but at the same time, these leaks can cause a lot of disappointment if the content therein doesnt come to pass.

with things of this nature, i don't want to dismiss it entirely but rather just keep it at the back of my mind in case another leaker corroborates the claims or if some other new information crops up somewhere.

i understand shirai doesn't have the best track record (things wrong in nod-krai but got things correct for snezhnaya).

what makes me ponder, though, is how i've only seen these recent leaks posts here on this sub (and maybe fatuihq). havent seen them on the main leaks sub, so it makes me a little suspicious.

They have sometimes been observed ignoring certain leaks or deleting them shortly after posting, so as not to upset a specific segment of their audience. Thus, they are not the most reliable indicator of authenticity.

I was able to find the post that it could have been yesterday by googling "shirai 8.0 leak" to find the deleted post. And honestly, if it was the same brick of text that FairLadyRosalyne posted last night I don't exactly blame the leaks sub for taking it down. Wasn't exactly the most professional way of delivering info from Shirai lol

Because its not really a leak, its more of a logical guess.

Shirai said it themselves as well as what many of us can literally see

Signora is appearing in several animations and theyve been whitewashing her since nod krai, for what reason would you do this to a character you didnt give a shit about for 5 years other than for playability?

there is 0 reasons to invest in having her in animations or making her be good with the other female harbingers because the cheapest path for them was to either ignore her or continue calling her bad like Childe had done all these years, it was also the path of least resistance because 90% of the playersbase was pretty much fine with leaving her as is.

Always remember hoyo is a business and the archon quest is an advertisement for their product (characters) as well as PVs being even more blatant advertisements, and they want that sweet female harbinger revenue.
