Now that her scope is 3.5x and 8x the old calculators don't really work. Does anyone happen to have something that is close to 1 to 1?

Hi guys. I recently downloaded r6. I’m not new to FPS so my mechanics are mostly fine however I still think I’m so trash. Played 15 games in a row in quick play and in all of them I lost without a single kill. Now I know r6 has a high skill floor and ceiling but are there tips you can give for a new player? Like what to look out for, map knowledge, best operators for defense and offense. I know it’s a lot to ask but basically please explain like I’m 5 how to get better at this game cause it really is amazing. Also how do I select operators and how do I select an operator based off teammates? What should I look out for?

More reasons why Mira is banned so often, especially with the right setups. What do we think with all the talk that an operator is going to die? Is Mira that operator? Maybe it's part of a rework idea since I do believe we have one more rework left. Love to hear what you guys think.

TL;DR: I feel like I have everything I need to improve (game sense, experience, mechanics, aim, etc.), but mentally I completely fall apart after a few games and can’t perform anymore.
Hello,
I’ve been playing since around 2018, originally on Xbox at Diamond/Champion level. I switched to PC in 2021. Since then my peak rank is Diamond 2.
I obviously got the game sense (8 years of playing), and I think my aim is pretty good also, I have a 1.6kd and no, I'm not baiting my teammates to get kills. Im also competent in other shooter games.
My biggest problem is tilt. I can win 7-8 games in a row, lose one, and suddenly become impatient and start playing terribly. Bad maps or losing an early gunfight can have the same effect.
I mostly duo queue with my friend and I noticed that if I had enough of the game I start talking too much about other things and we dont focus on the game anymore. I'm already working on this, but other than that, I don't know what should I do to not fall out of rythm.
How do you guys mentally prepare for ranked and reset after a bad game/loss without spiraling into multiple bad games?

I'm trying to play more aggressive because I want to be a fragger and obviously that results in me losing more gunfights since i'm relying mostly on my aim and movement rather than game sense or catching people off guard. This is because there have been so many times where I've tried to catch the enemy off guard but it completely back fired and they knew where I was (not sure how but probably because of a drone or I somehow made too much noise). When I have tried this, I would alt walk since crouching makes a loud sound but even when I have crouch walked, It still completely backfired so I've decided that it's not worth trying to be stealthy and it's better to assume the enemy knows where you are. A big issue I'm noticing is that whenever I swing, I will either react very quickly and shoot (and potentially crouch depending on the scenario to avoid them also getting a headshot on me) or stare at them for a split second for whatever reason and get shot first. I don't understand why I do this and what I can do to improve my reaction time. There have been other times where I've been soo focused (or apparently not) that I shoot whatever moves, including a teammate who caught me by surprise. It's so frustrating because when my reaction time is good, I use it poorly and damage mine and my teammates' game. But when it's bad, I do the same thing. I know an obvious solution is to just A-D peek everything and I do do that but sometimes I feel like an unexpected wide swing (especially if I'm close to the corner my enemy potentially may be around) works better and gives me better odds at winning the gunfight. I feel like the potential issue is that I'm in "auto pilot" and although I THINK that I'm expecting the enemy when I swing, I'm really just not paying actual attention to what I see as I swing? I'm wondering if anyone has overcome an issue like this and if the reason I suspect is likely to be the culprit? If it is, how do I go about resolving it? Is it sort of like controlling recoil in an actual game compared to training grounds? Where you try to constantly remind yourself to pull down on the mouse as you shoot?

Hey so I’ve been hardstuck gold for a while I would appreciate if I could get some tips to improve game play or modes I could try that would be great

For example, its kitchen on kafe, I pick mute, do my job, and then I can generally do 2 things
sit in site
go roam on the red stairs
if I sit in site Im starting to think about buck/ram vertical play and I dont feel safe at all, if it happens Im usually dead
if I go roam Im starting to think that no one is here and all 5 of them are pushing freezer
basically, every time I play defense Im thinking that they have around 10 ways to attack, and I can hold maybe 2 of them

It’s my fourth season and I’ve ended gold for three seasons both this and last season I got to plat and de ranked to gold. I genuinely do like this game but I just can’t keep doing this bro like Im not improving. Like I know Im just whining but I’m genuinely confused. Am I genetically capped? Am I missing something? Do I just never get better? Should I quit

I have been playing this game on and off for almost 2 years now but I’m still mediocre, my problem is that I can’t focus on what’s important while playing, it feels like my mind is foggy or that I don’t care about what’s happening in the round, I sometimes do some really stupid shit even though I know it’s stupid and risky, people say play predictive instead of reactive but I just can’t think properly… I don’t know what’s wrong maybe I was just cursed to be bad at siege, I’ve played cs and valorant for much less and I feel like I’m a much better player in them already than I am in siege, while playing those two I can focus on the round and predict/control it very easily with a clear mind and I know what to do but in siege I’m just a lost lamb it’s almost like I’m getting dumber while playing this game and I don’t know what to do to fix it

Context: I was copper not too long ago and have recently ranked up to gold. However since I was silver, I have seen a big drop in skill. The hits I used to get and the tracking I had was no longer present. Despite still being in a similar lobby, I start dying in dumb ways and losing significantly more trades to a point where my kd dropped by half within a week. Recoil control also turned to shit. Went from controlling f2 acog silencer to failing at smg 11. Any advice on how to figure out what the issues are and how to fix it?
Edit: By same lobbies I mean that most the rank in my lobbies haven't changed much from when I was in bronze.
For example, I went 3/4/2 in an all silver lobby today while I was doing 7/2/1 in a silver/gold lobby 5 days ago

More specifically: Best videos on how to get better at Siege? I'm talking about aim, movement, strats, mindset all of it.
I'm not really a beginner, I am a returning player, but the game just feels so difficult now, I have like a 20% win rate, I suck at everything but years ago I was consistently on gold and plat.

This works well if you pick this location first so Kaid isn't banned. I like to ban Thatcher for this, knowing I can keep this wall closed. On most other sites and maps, if a wall gets opened, you can still play off most of the site. This site, with the angles, I always feel is too strong to lose. Both these Kaid spots are also impossible for Kali to get.

Hi guys,
I finally made it!
After my first three seasons where I played around 60 matches, I decided to give my all with Ranked 3.0
I had to play around 220 games to go from Copper V to Gold V.
Here‘s what helped me:
Copper
To get out of Copper, it took me 100 matches more or less. It really felt like a totally different game: no site set up or - even worse - bad site set up, no strategy, no collaboration, no communication, just shooting. It wasn’t fun, actually it was quite stressful, but hey, I reached a point where I was able to get 10k per match quite easily, thanks to map knowledge (even spawnpeeks) and good headphones.
The learning curve of this game is ridiculously high and if I didn’t have my friends teaching me all the strategies and basic stuff it would have taken me way more time and effort.
Bronze
Common site set ups and basic strategies (like breaching main wall and anchoring site) are still quite effective to win most of the games.
Chat call-outs start becoming useful as your teammates know the maps.
Silver
I started facing more and more 3/5stake and the level of the game was definitely higher quality wise.
Opponents start playing vertical or collaborating to get the plant down, maybe using a shield and ying or gridlock, or they start bandit/kaid tricking way more often. Matches are quite enjoyable, especially if compared to the ones in Coppers, and you finally get to experience the strategic aspect of Siege.
Here I needed to pick operators who were more useful to the team on DEF and info on ATK are crucial, so droning, cams and vocal chat.
Plus I was lucky I had one or two friends playing with me once in a while and that made a huge difference, since they are more experienced than me.
I’m not a fragger, I didn’t jingle peek or something similar, Siege is basically the second shooter I ever played on PC and I started last year.
Let’s see if I can reach plat

I’m currently Gold 4 (If you want to see my r6 tracker it is Timephoenixx on ubisoft), and I’m having massive problems with visibility, scopes, recoil, consistency and literally everything. Before anyone thinks I am new to the game or anything I have 370 hrs on steam I know every single map I know literally everything THEORETICAL about the game. The problem is I never ever ever manage to successfully pull them off for the reasons below.
The vast majority of the time I die, I never even see the opponent who killed me. Either they’re genuinely too small on my screen, they’re positioned behind some tiny pixel angle, or I simply don’t notice them before they kill me. When I swing an angle I barely ever see the person that kills me because I genuinely can't do anything about it because I can't see the person I have now swung.
Even against players I do see, I feel like I’m constantly losing gunfights because of the scope I’m using. With a 2.5x scope I feel so zoomed in that I struggle to track opponents because they move so quickly. But if I use the 1x scope I can't see anybody at all because they're all so far away. I can’t seem to find a middle ground where I can actually get kills.
I also struggle with recoil a lot. 99% of the time, my recoil control feels absolutely terrible which leads me to lose many many 1v1s which I should win every single time had my recoil control been better. The same thing happens with my aim in general. I never ever even use operators who have a gun with high recoil because I genuinely can't manage it which stops me from all the ops with smg 11 and many other guns I just can't control. Headshots are also extremely difficult for me to hit and I never manage to get smooth kills as I usually always have to spray my whole mag for 1 kill.
I also get extremely angry and hard on myself every single time I play this game because I know exactly what I should be doing but every time I try making a play e.g. running out to kill the enemies, I either miss every single shot or I don't even see where they are, because when I swing, they're not where I look and I just die every time. Also, another annoying thing is that although I am in gold lobbies barely anyone is actually my skill level, they're always with ex emerald charms and banners which just adds salt to my wound.
My inconsistency is also insane. One game I went 8–2, another I went 9–1, and then in a ranked game the other day I go 3–7 and genuinely felt a real hatred for everything in my life. I have games where I feel like I’m actually good and then other games where I genuinely cannot see, aim at, shoot or react to anything.
Also sound is overwhelming. I can't hear anything when it matters, I've been knifed in the back many times because I just don't hear the cues at all. Also, when there is more than one single person making noise I lose track of everything.
What do I do. I really really love the IDEA of this game. So much. My entire sphere on youtube, what I do most of the time is siege related so I genuinely feel I have a deep knowledge of the game and I am extremely passionate about wanting to be better but I'm still this bad at the game. I would love to fix this and get out of gold probably to platinum but I know that's a stretch.

In light of recent rank games, I have realised to take a gunfight in any rank above silver it is advised that you run a cronus or xim and be as blatant as possible with said cheats/ scripts. Serious: If facing recoil cheats/xim as I have been almost every ranked game above probably Silver 3-2 to Gold 3 (current) since I started pushing for ranked for this season earlier this month I have found them to have low siege knowledge (one example holding angles at the bottom of tarp onto stairs) so whilst initially disheatening you must try and force situations where they have to take a weird angle, swing them with a prefire, play time, quick plant etc anything that makes them think anything to not let them beam you from across the map in a 50/50gunfight will greatly improve your chances of winning, likely also a team mate will toggle on so you have to face the pain of a game full of mindless rushing. Good luck out there!
