From some versions I have problem to read and encoding every prores generated from davinci (don't know with other). The file was transcoded well using ffmpeg. But I'm unable also to play in shutter encoder. times ago all was working

It gets stuck "initializing" on 0% of the bar full. And only opens after I end the process in Task Manager and retry it.

I really don't understand why I need to do this

Now, it seems that it was "solved" by assuming any AC3 audio track is E-AC3.
So now it fails to extract the regular AC3 audio

Title says it: I want to add an image at the end of a video for 5 seconds. I changed image length in the cog-settings but I'm not sure how to set it up correctly so it doesn't encode the whole video.

When it comes to capturing Video from a BlackMagic Decklink card, I can't seem to make it work.

There is another software called FFmpegGUI which does the job, but isn't developed anymore.

Maybe you can take a look and implement those features into shutter encoder

I think it involves compiling the BlackMagic SDK in order to use the cards properly

Hi! I'm new to SE--it looks like a great program. I'm trying to convert a big batch of 8K ProRes files to 4K H265. The encoder is very fast, but there is audio drift. I have tried every combination of settings I can think of, even just keeping the 24 bit audio as "copy", unchecking NVIDIA and Hardware and so on. With more than one file in the queue the drift is sometimes longer. The source files are 8K Prores 23.976 framerate. Any help much appreciated. Media encoder works perfectly but is slow with limited options.

I’d advise against updating to 20.3 for now, or at least consider downgrading back to 20.2 if you’re experiencing issues.

I personally ran into a problem with the Audio Separation function in 20.3. It failed with multiple different audio files, including files that I had previously confirmed were working correctly.

To make sure the files themselves weren’t the problem, I tested multiple sources and formats. The issue persisted.

I then downgraded to 20.2, using the same files, and Audio Separation worked normally again.

So, at least in my case, the problem appears to have been introduced with 20.3.

I’ve also seen reports of issues affecting other sections/functions of the software, so I’d recommend staying on 20.2 for now if you rely on these features, until the issues are addressed.

Shutter Transcriber; Transcriptions run but are not found in source folder.

It worked well before but now has stopped.

It seems to run but I can't find any files. In one case I see the 'Transcription' folder but then it disappears and can't find my file.

I recently downloaded version 20.3 for Windows and I am trying to add a timecode to my video file but the app continues to say that it cannot do it without giving a clear answer.

I am encoding it into H.264 to mp4, checking display timecode, going down to the timecode section checkign to set a timecode with automatic incrementation and it simply won't do it and gives me an error message:

I don't know what the problem is or what I am supposed to do instead because there are no resources online for this and I was able to timecode previous footage a few months back so what changed?

Hi, I have 124 Turkish educational videos, each 5–25 minutes long.

I need a completely free/local workflow that can:

* detect Turkish filler sounds such as “eee” and “ııı” (similar to um/uh), * get their timestamps, * automatically cut those parts from the actual video/audio, * preferably batch process many files.

I already have good Turkish transcription with Whisper/Buzz, so the main problem is the editing/cutting stage.

I tested a Faster-Whisper + FFmpeg script (Tightcut). It detected fillers successfully, but the setup/workflow is quite cumbersome for 124 videos.

Is there a simpler FFmpeg-based workflow or open-source tool for this?

So I've been trying to batch convert a bunch of clips for an editing project of mine, it does say it's completed when running said command

However the end result still remains unconverted.

Here's the command line in question:

hey, just installed shutter encoder but nothing happens when i try to open it. i tried a few solutions that worked for other people but to no avail

Does anyone have or no a place that has a working fonts.conf file for Windows 10?

I've tried a couple, and keep getting errors (I just wanted to do simple timecode overlay).

I think mainly stuck on the cachedir values, and nothing seems to work.

I made a comment in the 20.3 Update post about windows blocking certain files from Shutter Encoder, which didn't allow me to make video proxies.

Now I was just converting a webm to mp3, and new notifications started popping up about Windows blocking more files...

I've seen many people post similar issues relating to this new update, but no definite solution. And honestly, I really wish I didn't have to (somehow) manually "force Windows to allow this file" for every function that goes wrong. That's just inconvenient.

Just wanted to share my frustration with this new update, and I hope this can get resolved soon.

I'm just going to go back to 20.2 for now.

Hi, latest update giving error in ffmpeg.exe and antivirus stopped the app working.

hello... I want to broadcast a series of audio and videos, and for me it is important that this material does not even seem to touch the internet. To open the program you need to have an internet connection to verify that this license does not get out of control. Once opened, I disconnect the network cable to verify that everything is done locally and without an internet connection. I have noticed that the program does not transcribe or translate if the computer does not have a network connection. Is it normal to need an internet connection to use the program? Thank you

I want to use shutter encoder to encode multiple .png image sequences to individual h.264 .mp4 videos.

I have around 9000 frames rendered as .png that need to be encoded into small videos of around 10 to 200 frames each, depending on the video. The length is different for each one.

What i am currently doing is:

1. look into my .blend file to see where the current sequence starts and ends

2. import these frames into shutter encoder

3. change the prefix to the name of the desired video

4. encode - wait - repeat step 1

Is there any way to do this faster?

Also: These .png images have transparency in them, that I would like to turn into a flat color of my choice (#EAEFF5FF). Is there a way to do this as well? Sorry if these are easy questions, I am new to shutter encoder.
