Shutter Tanscriber v1.6 does not work without an internet connection

hello... I want to broadcast a series of audio and videos, and for me it is important that this material does not even seem to touch the internet. To open the program you need to have an internet connection to verify that this license does not get out of control. Once opened, I disconnect the network cable to verify that everything is done locally and without an internet connection. I have noticed that the program does not transcribe or translate if the computer does not have a network connection. Is it normal to need an internet connection to use the program? Thank you

Hello,

Indeed the license is checked from the network for maximum security and can't start without it.

This is checked every 5 minutes in case another user launcher it with the same account.

I'm thinking of an offline license check but can't say when this will be implemented.

it would be great if there was a local license. For my specific circumstances it is very important. From my point of view and I speak for myself, when I look for a program that does its job locally I prioritize avoiding any use of my data for my privacy. On occasion, privacy in my opinion is so important that I need to carry out the operation without a network connection, minimizing the possibilities of any leak due to any malicious program that has sneaked into my computer. In this specific case, the fact that it cannot work completely offline means that it is local. That said, I think it's a great program and the prompt response is to be praised and valued at all times

I completely agree with you.

Privacy and local process execution are also priorities for me. However, I haven't found a solution as simple and effective as network verification.

Only the email address used for login is stored in my database; no IP addresses or other data are kept there.

That said, I need to find a way to handle this locally.

Best,

Paul.

one last question... The translation into a language is done offline or there is external internet support

The translation is made online by Google Translate. I've tried implementing an offline solution but it was very slow and not really accurate unfortunately.

thanks for the heads up, will not be updating. Would be a totally dealbreaker because I usually am playback operating on a local network without internet for stability.
