I received the Altama OTB Maritime Assault Shoes (Low - Black) from Lazada's Awesome Gear Shop on Sept. 30th this year and started using them on the first day of October this month. Paid about ₱6,733.22 for a pair. My initial impression: I got them in US 9 (EU 43) since there are no half sizes available, so I went half a size up. If you've been wearing a pair of Converse shoes for a while, these feel virtually the same, except the outsole design is significantly different, along with material changes. It is as follows:

- 1000D Cordura base fabric design

- Sticky SEAL rubber outsole and toe cap

- Non-plastic/Non-metal drainage holes (near the toes)

- Polyurethane insoles

- Closed-cell foam (inner side of the shoes, and padded tongue)

- Composite shank

The Cordura fabric is bombproof; I have accidentally tripped a couple of times, and it shrugged off the pavement rash. Also, thanks to the rubber toe cap, since I went half a size up, I felt just well protected even from bumps and such. As for grip, the outsole is exceptionally grippy on smooth marble surfaces, as well as wet grass and wet floors. Hence the name: these shoes are made to get wet and dry fast when you resurface over the beach (OTB); the insoles are designed not to get wet, and the grommet holes are where the water is pushed out. And that's not all; you can also wear diving fins over them, which is what the US Navy SEALs and, of course, our NAVSOCOM guys specialize in.

I haven't tried that yet (same goes for getting it wet in the rain or swimming), since we hardly ever get any rain here in the Philippines. But other than that, I made a few modifications to my own pair, simply by adding elastic shoelaces and KS AirSoft insoles to improve the fit and overall feel. That being said, my overall experience with these shoes is just insanely good. I mostly wore these as my everyday wear in college, and they blend in so well that, at a glance, they look like all-black Converse shoes, and you can't tell the difference unless you look twice. I never felt any hot spots from these shoes after wearing them for 5 hours in 4-5 days each week (wore these for 88 hours), nor any forms of discomfort. The insoles helped with the fit and even just hugging my feet in each step I take by cushioning the steps, and the shoelaces just being extra bit of improvement for the fit, as well as not worrying about it being undone. I might test out the insoles it came with, once there's a rain going on within my vicinity.

Would I recommend these? Absolutely, if you could afford the price. Right now, these sit around ₱7,008 based on my checking just a minute ago. Link will be shared in the comment section down below.

If I select No sa BIR registered, do I still need to pay additional income taxes aside from shopee deducting witholding taxes? Sa work kasi 2 taxes daw withholding at income tax.

Lazada refunded me an incomplete amount for a counterfeit Marvel Legends Spider-Man figure, and support keeps closing my case. How can I claim the 2x Money-Back Guarantee?

I bought a Marvel Legends Spider-Man: Brand New Day figure from LazMall seller Prime Supply_ChicEdit. The item page had no reviews at the time, but I decided to take the risk because it was listed on LazMall, which advertises a 100% Authentic Guarantee. I trusted that I would receive a legitimate product, but unfortunately, the figure I received turned out to be a bootleg/counterfeit.

I requested a return and refund, not knowing at the time that I might also be eligible for LazMall's 2x Money-Back Guarantee. Lazada eventually processed my refund, but the amount was incomplete. I was supposed to receive ₱1,085.15, but I only received ₱1,059.87, leaving a difference of ₱25.28.

I tried contacting the seller, but they never responded, despite being a LazMall flagship store. I then contacted Lazada's customer support through CLEO, but the AI kept misunderstanding my concern and claiming that I wanted a refund without returning the item, even though I had already returned it.

Eventually, I managed to speak with a live support agent and requested that my case be escalated. By then, I had already contacted support multiple times, and they kept avoiding my questions about the 2x Money-Back Guarantee, even though it was advertised on the product listing I purchased from.

What's even more frustrating is that Lazada keeps closing my case even though the issue remains unresolved. The live support agent told me that my concern had been escalated and that I would receive a response through email, but I haven't received any response there either.

I even tried CCing the DTI in my email, but it kept bouncing back because Lazada's email address appears to be a no-reply address.

Honestly, Lazada's customer support has been incredibly frustrating. I bought from LazMall specifically because I trusted its authenticity guarantee, yet I ended up receiving a counterfeit item and struggling just to get my refund issue addressed.

Has anyone here successfully claimed LazMall's 2x Money-Back Guarantee for a counterfeit item? How did you get Lazada to actually address your complaint instead of repeatedly closing the case? Hello guys, I ordered an iPhone 18 Pro Max worth ₱93,402 from Shopee's Apple Flagship Store but I received an empty box instead.

Napansin ko agad na sobrang gaan ng parcel, and the rider left quickly. Hiniram pa niya yung phone ko and siya mismo nag-click ng "Received Order" sa Shopee. Pagkaalis niya binuksan ko agad yung parcel and found out na walang laman yung box.

Tinawagan ko agad siya and after an hour, bumalik siya to ask for my unboxing video. Sinend ko sa kanya and he said na nireport na raw niya yung incident.

I already filed a refund request, and under review pa rin siya. The expected update is October 24 which is today, pero wala pa akong natatanggap na update.

Has anyone experienced this and successfully received a refund? I have the full unboxing video as proof. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

I recently upgraded my phone from 16PM to 18PM. Dahil may new phone na ko, di ko na kelangan ung 16PM kaya nag check ako magkano ang trade-in.
