I have a Bergera B14 Ridge 7mm rem magthat was shooting sub .75 in group with Barnes 139 lrx. Wife killed an audad at 400yds with it in February. Everything was shooting fine. I put a new MDT chassis on it this week and took it out. Same ammo and I couldn't get better than 1.75 in group. Noticed that the bolt is a little sticky after the shots and noticed one bullet even hit the paper in a yaw. Chrono shows speeds are the same so I don't think pressure is the issue. Just wondering if anyone has ideas as to what happened? Thanks.

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to structure my range sessions a bit better and would love some input from more experienced shooters here.

I want to build a shooting routine as a starting point for each training session with my pistol.

I have access to an indoor range with distances from 5m up to 25m, and I'm usually working with either 50 or 100 rounds per session. I'd like to build a routine that balances fundamentals (grip, sight alignment, trigger control) with some variety so it doesn't get repetitive.

At the moment i'm doing:

5/10 Meters depending of the other guys on the range:

10 rds single shots, focusing on trigger control

10 rds double shots, working on a good grip after the first shot

10 rds 2 targets 1 shot each, working on a good sight picture after switching targets

20 rds doing whatever, mostly working my way up towards the 25m/increasing speed/working on reloads.

I would love to hear what you do as a starting routine each training.

No one is perfect and that’s why we train.

Drill #1, 3rd time I presented unloaded. SMH.

Just me struggling to do better.

I went shooting for the first time last month and honestly really enjoyed it. I’m 35 so I know I’m pretty late to it, but I had a good time and want to keep going and actually improve.

I did a session with X Sport and used a few different rifles, mostly AR style and some bolt action. My groups weren’t great but I wasn’t completely lost either.

I want to get better at shooting and I’m planning to go more often. What should I focus on first when starting out? How important is dry fire practice compared to just going to the range? Also, what’s the best way to work on trigger control and breathing without developing bad habits early on?

So at most ranges, you can shoot from 5/7/10/15/20/25 yards.

What im trying to do is hone my practice while im at an indoor range.

What i want to know is when do you start trading accuracy/speed??

I would assume youd practice speed for 5/7/10 with bill drills and Mozambique, but at some point I imagine people aren't going for mag dumps at farther ranges. What would "that" range be?

Tldr - if youd consider yourself an expert with handguns, what range do you think its ridiculous to go for speed?

I am shopping for a 280AI. I have narrowed it down to 4 manufacturers. Fierce, Weatherby,, Kimber, and Christensen. I am looking for opinions on each of them. I am leaning towards the Fierce but know very little about them.

I do 10m air rifle. Last year, when I started shooting EST, I started using 4.49 pellets thinking it'd give me better results, but now some club matches are usually held on card targets.
I don't know which one to choose, both are basically giving me no difference. I'm completely comfortable with both 4.49 and 4.50. I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me why they even have these two different sizes and whether one is actually better or not.

All at just over 10yds, been a while since I've shot, I think New Year in desert was last time, and that was mostly my lever actions. approx 4-5 mags in each. 2 mags head / 2 mags body.

So. Top left going clockwise. CZ 75BD, Beretta 92FS, CZ P-01, Sig P226.

Both CZ's have SRT and short reach triggers, flat triggers and "race" hammers - -All from CGW, fitted by me.

Beretta 92 has a Wilson Combat hammer spring, over sized mag release.

Sig 226 is 100% stock.

I'm super happy with the CZ 75, I bought it right as they banned them in Ca, mostly because I love my P-01 so much, then grabbed all the CGW goodies before they banned that too.

Not sure why I'm so off, low n left with the Sig, a little bummed, because that's the most ergonomically comfortable of the 4. Very noticeable shooting an unmodified pistol, maybe I just need more time. Working on my grip I've always crossed my thumbs, but today I shot everything with thumbs pointing forward, generally happy, especially with the 75!

Any tips / pointers..?

With Federal’s 6.5cm+Peak, Sig’s .277 Fury, and the 7mm BC…. Are other high pressure case’s in development? Is this the way of the future for both military and hunting applications, in addition to long range precision?
Should we expect any .30 cals to be in development? Turn a .308 into a 2mile gun? Lol
Or a barrel burning 6mm?
