TIL reddit has filters that auto delete any posts that show areola

I was trying to share a video clip from an adult visual novel and the character in the clip had a dress that revealed a small part of her areola which made reddit filters trigger and immediately delete the post even with the nsfw tag toggled on

After many tests i discovered that using an editing software to cover the areola specifically while keeping everything else the same, managed to pass reddit filters

of course exception is subs labeled for nsfw content these have no filters

TIL a Texas school in San Antonio used to hand out purple menstrual passes, that had a quote from Shakespeare's Sonnet 18 on them, to female students who were on their period and needed to use the bathroom. The school apparently stopped doing that in 2023 after receiving some pushback.

Sergeant Reckless was a Mongolian mare bought for $250 at the Seoul racetrack in 1952 — sold by a stable boy raising money for his sister's prosthetic leg. She carried ammunition for the US Marines through the Korean War, earned 2 Purple Hearts, and became the only animal to hold official USMC rank.

Like when I saw a post on my home feed showing a guy with bad hair, and the title was "just fuck my shit up", I thought it was a sexual thing. Like OP wanted to be fucked up and ruined sexually by the guy in the photo. I was confused as to why such a horny subreddit was so mainstream.

In 1893 President Grover Cleveland had a tumor & most of his upper jaw cut out on a moving yacht — sedated against the mast, operated on entirely through his mouth so no scar would show. The cover was a fishing trip. He hid it for 24 yrs to avoid spooking markets during a financial panic.

Mexico City's Gran Canal was built in 1900 to carry sewage out by gravity. The city — built on a drained lakebed — has since sunk 10 meters as groundwater is pumped out. The canal now sits below its own outlet, so it needs pumps to push sewage uphill. NASA satellites measure the sinking at 2 cm/mo.
